Just Us Talking
Hypothetically Speaking...
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Somebody asks a simple question like “Who would be in jail?” and suddenly we’re confessing speeding tickets, checkpoint anxiety, and exactly which friend would accidentally make things worse with an officer. That’s the whole vibe of Just Us Talking: a funny friend group podcast where the “group chat” energy is the point, and the laughs come from how honest we get when the hypotheticals start landing a little too close to home.
We jump from summer snack takes (watermelon, frozen Uncrustables, beach crackers, Slurpees, pretzels) into rapid-fire icebreaker questions that turn into full-on personality tests. Who do we call to bail us out, and who actually locks in? If we’re stranded on a deserted island, who’s your survival pick, who’s your comfort pick, and who’s getting voted “most likely to eat their friends first” when the protein goals hit? Then we pivot to the kind of “lore” that rewires the room, including wild backstories and the moment everyone realizes some stories are too real to be a bit.
The chaos keeps rolling with fake voice accusations, British accents that slip out mid-conversation, Canadian spelling habits, and an impression streak that makes you question what anyone’s “real” voice even is. We cap it with a classic debate (is a turtle without its shell naked or homeless?), Over the Hedge character casting, Lord of the Flies island roles, spy predictions, and a surprisingly revealing talk about lottery money, $10,000 choices, debt, giving, and impulse spending. Subscribe, share this with your group chat, and leave a review telling us which question we should answer next.
Welcome Back And No Guests
SPEAKER_09Hey guys, welcome back to Just Us Talking. This week we have a multitude of different questions and just random things we're gonna be talking about.
SPEAKER_06It's kind of just about the group chat. Yeah, it's just we're spitballing here, you know.
SPEAKER_09Just going for it. Uh no special guests. We we just wanted to take you back to the basics with our unpainted intern here as well. Let's go.
Favorite Summer Snacks And Beach Food
SPEAKER_09So my name is David, and my favorite summer snack is I gotta say watermelon.
SPEAKER_01Good.
SPEAKER_10Uh I did not say anything. Never mind.
SPEAKER_06David, why are you on your knees right now? What?
SPEAKER_10Cut that. Why are you saying leave it in?
SPEAKER_01What?
SPEAKER_05Why'd your fist so high in the air? Why'd you look at me when you said watermelon?
SPEAKER_06They're lying on my name. Were you gonna believe a white man?
SPEAKER_05Or me?
unknownAlright.
SPEAKER_10Just move on. Just go.
SPEAKER_05My turn. My name is Tyree. My favorite summer snack. I'm so frilled. Probably nothing because I'm too busy ripping and running during the summer. So air. Air. Salt water. Salt water.
SPEAKER_04I'm Mary Grace. This isn't like a favorite snack. I think I like it during the summer just because it reminds me of the beach. Those little peanut butter crackers or nads or whatever. Oh, square ones? Yeah, we would the square ones, we would always have them at the beach. So I think it just reminds me of being at the ocean.
SPEAKER_00My name is Lawrence, and my favorite summer snack would have to be an uncrustable, but the middle is still slightly kind of frozen. Oh, those are.
SPEAKER_07I didn't know you were supposed to freeze those till like six months ago. I just kept them in my fridge. Yeah, I kept them in the fridge too. Oh, okay. Well then I'll do that again. Anyway, my name is Gracie, and my favorite summer snack is dots, pretzels, the honey mustard flavor.
SPEAKER_06Hi, my name is Morgan. My favorite summer snack. It's also watermelon, but specifically, like you put it in the freezer overnight before you go to the beach for a few. Wait a minute. Morgan, what do you have on the beach?
SPEAKER_05You're coming up with things I don't know.
SPEAKER_09Frozen watermelon. We do that for our puppies.
SPEAKER_08It's podium for sure. I'm like a podium for sure. Okay. Um my name is Kennedy. Though this is not a food, I consider it still a snack, less of a beverage. Slurpee from seven. Oh, summertime. I just it's me and Vale's thing. Shout out. But anyway.
SPEAKER_05If I had to go back and admit my answer, I will say those pretzels that you have that you make. The pretzels. Oh, you make those?
SPEAKER_08No, I don't make them, but she warms them up.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_08I buy them and I warm them up. I love every time you make a phone. So talented.
SPEAKER_05I was disappointed tonight.
SPEAKER_08See, sometimes I sometimes I'm like, should I switch it up? I don't want to. I don't want people to get bored with the same old thing. Hey. Anyway, it's okay.
SPEAKER_01This is just a stoggy.
Who Would Land In Jail
SPEAKER_09If you got a call that someone was in jail, which person do you think it was about?
SPEAKER_05Why did you have the why? I like that one. Well, you feel that's good, baby. I feel what you're gonna say.
SPEAKER_09From my viewpoint, I'm not gonna lie, I think it'd be Morgan.
SPEAKER_08What? I don't agree.
SPEAKER_09Well, we know the story.
SPEAKER_01Well, true, true, true.
SPEAKER_06I wouldn't get there on purpose.
SPEAKER_09And you and that one light that's near her house that always turns red. I feel like one of these days she's just gonna run it and then get caught.
SPEAKER_01And you're gonna go to jail for brand new light.
SPEAKER_09Knowing Morgan, she might reach for the officer's weapon.
SPEAKER_06I actually started with my words. I'm like, Ossipher. And then he's like, I'm gonna need you to step on the beach.
SPEAKER_10And then knowing you, you would fall.
SPEAKER_06Like he's like, I'm like tweaking out. I'm like, no. He's like, can you say the alphabet backwards? I'm like, no! You can do that.
SPEAKER_09Dude, I I tell you, I was so scared. I got pulled over on my I got back from a trip and we got off the plane at three in the morning. No. I was afraid to because they pulled me over and like, hey man, you're kind of swerving over the road. Have you been drinking tonight? I was like, no, officer, I just got off of a plane and like I'm just dead exhausted trying to get home. But I was like, I was like, please don't make me do any like stupid things because I I I could not like I was so tired, I was like, I couldn't do half the things they needed me to. Like I'd be cooked. I'd be going to be.
SPEAKER_06I promise. Um I think just the once. Just once. Just the once. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00How many times have y'all been pulled over?
SPEAKER_08Just zero. Well, one was for a rolling stop, but he let me go anyway. So shout out. I guess four times. Poor?
SPEAKER_01Yes. No, it's not.
SPEAKER_07How many times have you?
SPEAKER_04Well, Mary's still. How many in one day? By the same top. And then how much? Morgan just sees me being quiet over here. Like, yeah.
Pulled Over Stories And Traffic Chaos
SPEAKER_07I just wouldn't guess.
SPEAKER_04He was profiling you. Wait, how do you think? He was parked out in that same spot for hours.
SPEAKER_07Oh, yeah, for a while.
SPEAKER_04And he saw me come back around again. And he was like, Alright, I'm gonna have to give you a tick, uh ticket this time. And I was like, okay. And that's her speeding.
SPEAKER_09He stopped her once and then caught her on the same road in the same spot again.
SPEAKER_04A few hours later. I was like, yeah, this is this is embarrassing. What is your overall total though? Is it just the twice? Um I think four times.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Tyring. I think it's gonna be maybe four. Or sorry, sorry, two times.
SPEAKER_06She escaped the other two.
SPEAKER_05I got away. I got away. I wanna say, pulled over twice, both for speeding. Once I got stopped at a checkpoint over off of but uh the car I was driving was my aunt's car, and her expectation sticker. Yeah, her inspection sticker was expired. Not good. Riding dirty. So they were like riding dirty. It's not bad. Nice, nice, nice. Yeah, who do you think would be in jail, Tyree? Out of this group. Out of this group, honestly, probably me. Like, I don't want to throw anybody else under the bus. It's probably me.
SPEAKER_04Fair enough. I was thinking probably David. I feel like I can see well, maybe for road rage, but also for the possibility of a crash out going too far. Maybe.
SPEAKER_01How far did the crash out go?
SPEAKER_00Hmm. No. I feel like everyone in this group is super chill.
SPEAKER_05But I think we're all in the world. Yeah, yeah. There you go, there you go.
SPEAKER_08He's like every single one of you.
SPEAKER_00I love each and every one of you, but I feel like each of you could have a reason, but I might just go. I might just say Dave.
SPEAKER_06This guy's feels like the cool thing to do.
SPEAKER_00This feels like the cool thing to do.
SPEAKER_06You knew when you asked this what everyone was gonna say. No, I was really hoping that it was no guys, don't be me. No, no. No.
SPEAKER_10So I hate you guys. I hate you guys so much.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we're sorry, David.
SPEAKER_10Oh, I don't even put your fist up. You can't even bother the favor.
SPEAKER_07I would say Lawrence because he like no, like, listen, he like does things. We're listening. Okay, well, because sometimes he does things and he just like doesn't know what he's doing is wrong. Not like a bad way, but like speed, but like he's going like so fast. And I'm like, hey, like, you don't gotta go this fast. Like, it's crazy. Or he just like, like, you know what I'm saying? Like, you just want to be like, oh, it's fine, we can just do it. And the oldest. No, we can't.
SPEAKER_00That is you can't. That makes sense. Like, what's stopping you from stealing? Nothing.
SPEAKER_07That's true.
SPEAKER_00I think there's a couple things.
SPEAKER_09Like, nothing.
SPEAKER_07All the time on Target, he'd always be like, I want that, but like I can't get it whatever. And he's like, just steal it. And I'm like, no! Obviously he's kidding.
SPEAKER_00But in my head, I'm like, I know your past. Green goblin masks.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I was saying.
SPEAKER_00That's fair.
SPEAKER_06That's fair. I personally hot take, I think, Gray.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm gray.
SPEAKER_09I just know when he gets his license, he's gonna be driving like he's in Rocket.
SPEAKER_06No, all I'm saying is if you've heard, if you've seen the video that was on our socials of Gray screaming at Rocket League, I don't know. If he gets that rowdy in public, he's going to jail.
SPEAKER_08And that's my official answer. I think, because Terry says it a lot for tax evasion, she'd probably get it. And I think my But legitimately, though, I think if I got a call and someone said someone from the podcast is jail, I would think it was was in jail. I think it was David, unfortunately. Just my truthful answer. For why? But I just I don't know. Why does everybody think I'm not No, not for anything horrible, just for like speedy or something.
SPEAKER_10One of these two said I'd murder somebody. Oh no.
SPEAKER_08I agree with what Lauren said. Everyone here is great. They would not actually go to jail. But if if hypothetically this were the case, it would be Except
Who You Call For Bail
SPEAKER_08Gray.
SPEAKER_07Except.
SPEAKER_00Or say you did get arrested, who would you call to bail you out?
SPEAKER_07Morgan. That's right. That's point right there. Actually, no. Not just hair and be like, hey uh, so when anybody's gonna be able to do it. I can't even do customer service on the phone for you. I'm like, oh what do I do now?
SPEAKER_06I walked in, I told the world. Yes.
SPEAKER_07And so like hypothetically, Morgan, but also No, I would.
SPEAKER_06I would lock in for you.
SPEAKER_07Okay, okay. Then Morgan.
SPEAKER_06And Bracey. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Which
Stranded Island Picks For Survival
SPEAKER_05person in the chat would you want to be stranded on a deserted island with? I think if we had a pod island, like if we were all there, it'd be the best time. But I had to go with my shared skin.
SPEAKER_04Aww. That's also what I said. I was like, I was like, we basically spend all of our time together anyway. So it just makes sense. We live in the world.
SPEAKER_00If this was a hypothetical like being on a stranded island with a chance of survival, I think I'd pick David. Just for the simple fact that's not a good thing.
SPEAKER_03That was not in the question.
SPEAKER_00If this was like Stranded Island, you're never getting off with, I would pick his.
SPEAKER_06If you're trying to escape David, but if he's like, if I'm just chillin'. Okay, but if you were stranded on David.
SPEAKER_10If I'm just chilling, still David.
SPEAKER_06If I gave up on everything, do it.
SPEAKER_07Well, Morgan! I feel like we've already been on a desert island during college during COVID. It's never deserted.
SPEAKER_05And if we were doing it for survival, still Mary Grace.
SPEAKER_07Answer is the same. I don't want to survive if Morgan says that we live. I would pick Gray.
SPEAKER_03That's gonna be the joke every time this way pops around.
SPEAKER_06Sorry, sorry, sorry. I would be gracey. Thank you. I was like, you don't think me, bro?
SPEAKER_10Uh treat you like a fan.
SPEAKER_06I do also feel like it would get to a point where we're like trying to escape and we would get in like a huge argument. I'm just like, no, that's so stupid. What are you doing? Like the dresser?
SPEAKER_07Give me more. And they start pushing me like too much.
SPEAKER_06We gotta tell you you told me more. And I was like, I'm sweating. That's just building a raft. Honestly. I might just take the L. No, we chill. Yeah.
SPEAKER_09Stay on the island for the floor. Stay on the island.
SPEAKER_06Oh, I definitely would.
SPEAKER_07Pokelandia. Look. Pokelandia. I was thinking catching fire island. That's what I was thinking.
SPEAKER_06Catching fire. I would be catching fire instead of saying fire.
SPEAKER_08That's good.
SPEAKER_09I'm thinking like Madagascar. That's fair.
SPEAKER_08Not as a bit, I'd actually pick Gray. Not just because he's my brother, but in the situation of getting out, he's very helpful. He's very useful. Would we fight? Yes, but would it be.
SPEAKER_01Will you win? Yeah, who do you pick, Gray?
SPEAKER_08Gray, who do you pick? Shout into a mic. Who do you pick?
SPEAKER_06He gotta say it now. Shout into the mic.
unknownShout out to the mic.
SPEAKER_09Looking at me in words right now. I'm trying to think of who'd be the most helpful. But I would probably take Kenna. I don't know. But I don't know. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. I don't know. Safe answer. The most nonchalant.
SPEAKER_08I mean, I don't really care. Safe answer, safe answer.
SPEAKER_05I've never mind. Kenna would be helpful. Hey, she would bring all the snacks.
SPEAKER_08The pretzels.
SPEAKER_05The pretzels that you need to survive. Alright. David.
SPEAKER_10Next slide.
SPEAKER_06Wow. Wow. Wow. David's on the island by himself. I thought that you wouldn't have to be the same. Yeah, I'm the only person.
SPEAKER_08Wow. I thought you started off this question.
SPEAKER_09I would say for survival, Lawrence, for comfort. Let's go.
SPEAKER_01Lawrence.
SPEAKER_07Real quick. Like he said for comfort, his eyes darted at Morgan.
SPEAKER_10It was like a way I'm thinking. This is about to be funny. Like I kind of look.
SPEAKER_03Oh my gosh. It was like a romance.
SPEAKER_06I felt like that video of Ellen when Justin Bieber's singing. He points at her. He's like shiny right there. And then she's like looking around like Morgan. That's what I felt like this.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, I looked at Morgan because I was like, this is about to be funny.
SPEAKER_03For comfort.
SPEAKER_01Morgan will not comfort you.
SPEAKER_10I've been ventilating you the entire time. That was hilarious.
SPEAKER_06I would say no. I would be very cool, calm and collected in this situation, but also I think we would kill each other.
SPEAKER_10When? When?
SPEAKER_06In crisis, brother? What do you mean?
SPEAKER_09Call Gracie. Gracie, how how do I build a raft?
SPEAKER_06See, that's only with customer service. That's only with basic human interaction. So where do I go now? She's like, well, you should go on the line that says line. You should see the sign that says. You know the sign at the pharmacy that says pickup? Pickup. You should go to the woman at the front at the desk who do does this for her job instead of calling you wall at school. Yeah.
SPEAKER_10Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_06Yes, papa. Hi.
SPEAKER_10That's so funny.
SPEAKER_06Oh my goodness. For comfort. How was you going to see the look on my face? I was like, yeah, I saw it. I could have seen it.
SPEAKER_01I was like, what?
SPEAKER_00Flavragasted. She's so disgusted.
SPEAKER_01Gracie ran out of the room. I can't, though. She did. Gracie got up and ran.
SPEAKER_04She's like, okay, next question.
Who Would Eat Friends First
SPEAKER_04If stranded on a deserted island, who would eat their friends first? What the? I had to say David. I was gonna say all three. One, two, three, David.
SPEAKER_10And you're probably right.
SPEAKER_08Tell me the guy with a 30 count for breakfast is not gonna eat us first. He's gonna be on the island.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, bulking.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, bulking, sorry.
SPEAKER_10I gotta keep my weight up, guys.
SPEAKER_06It's like again, in Madagascar, what do you start seeing everything?
SPEAKER_10Everybody starts all I see is like you guys is like the T-bone steaks.
SPEAKER_06He's like, guys, I haven't had my protein goal yet.
SPEAKER_10It's the first day. It's the first day on the island. Guys.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, we haven't even gotten to that point yet. No one's starving. He's like, ah, guys. Just call it your let's just I haven't had my pan up growing yet.
SPEAKER_10Tyree, don't out me like that on the phone.
SPEAKER_06Why are you picking your feet like that? Icky. Who would you pick though, David?
SPEAKER_09Uh probably me.
SPEAKER_06Lawrence did not say David. Lawrence, who do you pick? That felt wrong.
SPEAKER_00That felt mean. No, this one I own. I think my will for survival would overtake, and I'll be like, now I'm gonna survive and not eat anyone.
SPEAKER_03That's right, but that's not the question.
SPEAKER_07That's not the question. The question was choose someone who's gonna eat someone else first.
SPEAKER_00I gotta live.
SPEAKER_03So his first answer was absolutely not me, and then his second answer was yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I can see like y'all definitely not doing that. That's disgusting.
SPEAKER_09But if I didn't think that I'd live other than me, it'd be those two on that couch. I feel like Gracie, Gracie would get rabid. I feel like Gracie would get rabbit after a certain point.
SPEAKER_05Uh-uh.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, if not David, me, if not me, then David up.
SPEAKER_06Right, right. One of the two men in the room. One of the men in the room.
SPEAKER_00We are surviving on the island, that's all I gotta say. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. On the beach, just watching sunset.
SPEAKER_10We go through half a week ago.
SPEAKER_06What's your favorite Iron Man? Guys, we have to keep a tally on how many days we've been here. Two. Can't believe we ate everybody already.
SPEAKER_05Our bones are just in a pile. That's the wrap.
SPEAKER_01Like I think it's your turn.
Craziest Lore And The Bank Robber Story
SPEAKER_00Who has the craziest lore? I'll go and answer that. I think I'll say myself. For some of you who don't know, I've been arrested and I used to sell drugs. So there's more. Was that what you were arrested for? Uh yes.
SPEAKER_07Not for selling them.
SPEAKER_00Well no, I just had I just had a I just had a lot of weed on it.
SPEAKER_06Should we delve into that now or should we just circle?
SPEAKER_00If you want to ask questions if you want. That was all before I knew Jesus. Let me clarify. BC. BC, BC. BC, BC, B C B C B C.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, Lawrence. Lawrence.
SPEAKER_09Can we all just say I was gonna say Tyree, but I didn't know.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, I was gonna lean kind of Tyree just because I think it's the point of like she doesn't think it's actually crazy and to just say it randomly. It's like, yeah, my first crush gave me a concussion. I wrestled him and we're like, what?
SPEAKER_09And he was also like eight years older than me. And I ate baby food.
SPEAKER_08Eight years older than me. Six.
SPEAKER_09And she ate baby food for a long time.
SPEAKER_08No. Okay, we don't need to out all the whole thing. I'm just saying, like, she'll tell crazy stories, but it she's not like this is crazy. She's not.
SPEAKER_09It would have been Tyree if not.
SPEAKER_05No, I was we were talking about this the other day, and I feel like I lost the ability to feel embarrassment at a very early age. So everything that I did I always thought was normal when it was actually not.
SPEAKER_00That's a great life skill.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Great life skill.
SPEAKER_05Some may say. Not me. Others may not say that. Others. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Is that was that y'all's answer? I think. Yeah. I was actually gonna say partly Kennedy, just because Jack feel like you have a lot of crazy like stories or like injury stories. Or like the story last time with like the puffer fish.
SPEAKER_08I was like, that is insane. I think I'm just a good storyteller. I don't actually have lore. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, it's the same thing. Not like a lot of things, but I appreciate it. Yeah, you are a good storyteller.
SPEAKER_00One of the craziest stories, though, is not personally mine, but I had several uncles who were serial bank robbers. And yes, and so my my dad's family grew up super poor and they stayed poor, so they were like, you know, we need money, so like why not rob a bank? And one of them, like, was like in it, he was hitting a bunch of banks. He he recruited his other brother, my other uncle, and his girlfriend. And guess like because he was already like robbing all these banks, the police already knew it was gonna be botched heist, so the police were like already on them. They didn't want to get caught, so they were like, they were they booked it in the car, they were like hanging out the window, shooting the police, like it was this whole thing, and then when they eventually the car the police chase ended, the the main brother, who was like the main bank robber, like killed himself right then and there. His girlfriend tried to kill himself kill herself, but like she lived. And then my other uncle who's a driver, like went to prison and was supposed to get out a while ago while he died in prison. Oh, it's a funny.
SPEAKER_08He just wanted to prove that he is the right aunt.
SPEAKER_00He said, Oh, wait. He's like, wait, wait, wait.
SPEAKER_05You got it. That's insane.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, crazy.
SPEAKER_05I said, Oh, you think it's Tyree?
SPEAKER_06Rocking a bank sounds fun.
SPEAKER_00But it's not like my own personal Lewis. Girl, what?
SPEAKER_06Hold on, do you guys think we could pull one off? Like a five. Oh, yeah. No.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_06We'd be like Oceans 8. Hey. Oh guys, what if we did there's eight of us in here right now.
SPEAKER_05Hey. Gray's gonna download the blueprints of the He's the guy in the car.
SPEAKER_09He's like, I'm in.
SPEAKER_05We've hacked into the mainframe, guys.
SPEAKER_09I'm past the firewall.
SPEAKER_00I think we'd be okay.
SPEAKER_06I think, yeah. I think Virtue would be the Aquafino. Oh no. Oh gosh.
SPEAKER_07Is she bad? I've never seen it, I don't think. I've seen a movie. That's your first question.
Living A Day As Someone Else
SPEAKER_07My next question is if you had to live wait. If you had to live 24 hours as someone else in this group chat, who would you choose? I did not read that correctly the first time I read that in my head. I thought it was if you had to live with someone for 24 hours. So if you were somebody else.
SPEAKER_05Oh. Interesting.
SPEAKER_07Tyree. Because I want to do your job. The discipline of children.
SPEAKER_08You gotta phrase it differently than that.
SPEAKER_07What do you mean? Like hearing all the oh I okay. Hearing all like the cases.
SPEAKER_05I work for the school system and basically deal with like disciplinary hearings, but it like this is past the school level. So once they already are past like suspension and everything, then they come come to our office. They come to me. They come to us. But it's like it's a lot of times like drugs. There are some crazy like ones that's like, bro. Like this one kid, he was like throwing a desk across the room because he didn't want to sit in his assigned seat. And he said it was because the girl next to him made her their boogers. And it's like, hey, you're getting suspended for that.
SPEAKER_09Like but I kind of understand.
SPEAKER_05Hey, I don't want to sit next to a girl that eats boogers either.
SPEAKER_07So I'll choose you.
SPEAKER_06I'm gonna be honest, I think I would choose David, but purely just to go about his normal day, but just like only walk on your hands. Like something so stupid. I'm like, I feel like you're not using your free will enough. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_10I like how you think I could do that.
SPEAKER_06I would find a way. The willpower.
SPEAKER_10Why is that something only I could do? You can do that.
SPEAKER_06I think I can do that.
SPEAKER_10Thanks for the comment, I guess. Thanks for thinking I could. I don't know. That's very odd to like.
SPEAKER_06I just think it'd be funny. And like when you were in your like salesman era, I think it would have been so funny to just like be at a car dealership, like selling cars, but just doing crazy stuff while doing it. It's like such stupid things.
SPEAKER_09I'm hitting the renegade. So you you are you are you doing cash or finance?
SPEAKER_06And then the next day you're back in your body, and then your boss is like, I need to talk to you. And you're like, I don't know what happened yesterday.
SPEAKER_09He's like, you were doing some weird stuff, but you had a record day. You had a record day in this company.
SPEAKER_06David's doing the Dougie while he's on his own style.
SPEAKER_09He's doing the I mean like I'm rubbing my stomach, patting my head.
SPEAKER_06He's six sevens every time he says hi.
SPEAKER_10Like Hello there, how are you?
SPEAKER_06How the air are you?
SPEAKER_10So I'm gonna help you today.
SPEAKER_06It would just be so funny.
SPEAKER_10Alright.
SPEAKER_06For the sake of the fallout, that's why I would do that.
SPEAKER_10Oh, oh, thank you so much.
SPEAKER_06I just want the security footage of you doing those things, but you would never do it yourself. Ron, wrong.
SPEAKER_08Okay. I think if I had to pick, I maybe go Gracie. Just because if people thought I was you, I could be so out of pocket. Like, I feel like if I'm doing something, they're like, okay, what? But if you're doing it, everyone's like, oh my gosh, so um, I just want to experience it. Low-key. We're good. Go ahead, David. Low club.
SPEAKER_09Honestly. Tyree, probably. I feel like working her job would be pretty cool.
SPEAKER_05Guys, it's not out of sound.
SPEAKER_09She'd be telling me about it, especially like her co-workers, and I was like, man, I would love to just be in Tyree's spot and just like just give them the most amount of sass.
SPEAKER_05My co-workers are crazy.
SPEAKER_09I know. You've told me this.
SPEAKER_05Not in a good way. In like an old, they're old ladies. They're old. So I meant like crazy as in like crazy. Like crazy. Like they're losing it. Yeah. They're early on. They're deteriorating. Hey, they're actually losing something. I initially put down Gracie as well, but then I was like, wait, she works with little kids. I don't really like kids. Like they're cute, but I don't really like talking to them sometimes. So just call out that day. Just call out that. Just call out that day. Yeah. Oh, no, no, no, no. I would love to be Gracie, but on the 4th of July. Me too! That sounds like pee. It is.
SPEAKER_04It's a high movie. I said I would love to be Morgan because I would just love to be that talented and be able to like play instruments and sing and do. Yeah, I would love to be that gifted for a day. Musically talented and comedically. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Comedically.
SPEAKER_04Comedically. I feel like that would be the best day ever.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. My answer was also Morgan, because I think working at a coffee shop for just one day would be kind of fun. And I've always wanted to play guitar, and I think being able to just pick up a guitar and play would be kind of kind of shit.
SPEAKER_06And if it's only fun for one day.
SPEAKER_00That's fair. That's fair.
SPEAKER_06Good.
Fake Voice Suspects And Accent Habits
SPEAKER_06If you found out one of you had been using a fake voice since you all met, who would you assume it was? As somebody who's painfully self-aware, me. Um I do feel like I would do that. But also we do have confirmed lore that apparently Tyree did do this. So for the sake of my own answer, I will say Tyree because it's happened before. So we know she could do it. Should I bring it back? Yeah, yeah. Pull send off.
SPEAKER_05Next episode.
SPEAKER_09Go in, go to work one day and just British accent.
SPEAKER_05Well, I do say it a lot now because I'm more stressed out.
SPEAKER_06Also, sleeper pick, Kenna, because I feel like every time you're about to like end a phone call or like leave any situation, you start talking in a British accent.
SPEAKER_08Anytime I'm actually say something serious, I turn British. Also I don't like saying goodbye to people, so I'm like, okay.
SPEAKER_06Goodbye. Good night, mate. No, no. I'll see you tomorrow.
SPEAKER_08All right, then. Oh, wait, who did I write down? Sorry, I forgot I'm next. Heike Morgan. Yep, yep, yep. I very much believe it. But also I tag along David just because you have you can do so many impressions, and so many people have come up, or not so many people, a couple people have come up and then like David's voice doesn't seem real just because it's so like it's like a talk show, not talk show, like radio host type voice, and they're like, is he putting that on or is that really his voice? And I'm like, I feel like it would just be hilarious if you like switched up and you didn't actually talk like that the whole time. I can like see that.
SPEAKER_09I have something to confess to you.
SPEAKER_08I can see that being the case. I can see that being the case.
SPEAKER_09Okay. I I get I guess I can kind of I was gonna guess Morgan, but then I also remembered about Tyree. But also sleeper pick Mary Grace.
SPEAKER_04Oh, really?
SPEAKER_09She's got she's she's also I feel like she's got the female like radio host voice as well. Like I feel like she could either that or like mute a meteorologist.
SPEAKER_06Oh, can we do an episode where we're like we are like a news radio station with meteorologists? You guys are the main host and everybody else has a different job.
SPEAKER_03She is kind of dressed for it right now.
SPEAKER_10Hello guys.
SPEAKER_06Welcome back.
SPEAKER_10Welcome back, and today we're gonna be talking about even can be that one meteorologist that also dances. He does like that like that.
SPEAKER_06We're getting a live call from New York.
SPEAKER_01Stop it.
SPEAKER_09And uh we're getting a call from California. Uh, it's gone. All of it's gone.
SPEAKER_06Got that. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god.
SPEAKER_05I also said Kennedy because she's Canadian, so she's basically British. Basically British. Basically British.
SPEAKER_01She's heard of that.
SPEAKER_05Because sometimes you say Chipotle. What?
SPEAKER_08You even spelled Chipotle. Noah. Noah. Tell me the right way some words. Chipotle. Yeah, is that right? Chipotle. And that's that British coming up.
SPEAKER_10That's that British coming up.
SPEAKER_08It's not British. Canadi like okay.
SPEAKER_05You also spell words the British way too, sometimes.
SPEAKER_08Listen, listen, listen, listen. I'm homeschooled. My mom's Canadian, so sometimes accidentally There's some Us in there. A U that goes in there and sneaks its way in. It just doesn't look unusual to me. That's my issue. So fair, fair, fair, fair, fair.
SPEAKER_04I was gonna say Tyree because it did actually already happen before. And then David, too, because of all of his impressions that he can do. I feel like he could easily talk in like a different accent for hours, and you probably like your voice wouldn't get tired, I don't think.
SPEAKER_05I think the Kronk voice is actually your real voice. Yeah, go ahead.
SPEAKER_09That'd be funny. I'm like I'm like on the spot now, so it's weird.
SPEAKER_02The boys go. Goosco's poison. The boys were gonna use to kill Cusco. That poison. Right.
SPEAKER_08Squiggity, squick.
SPEAKER_02Squiggity, squick, squick, squick.
SPEAKER_08That was kind of nice.
SPEAKER_02Oh, Mary Gracie, you know you're not entirely wrong here.
SPEAKER_09At my first job, I did like I would take answers over the phone because I worked at a restaurant. I would do it in my different impressions.
SPEAKER_02I would answer, I'd be like, Oh, why hello there? What would you like to order today?
SPEAKER_09And then like they'd get there, and I remember I'd be like, I'm like this like 16-year-old, like whose voice is cracking. And they'd be like, I'd give them their food and they'd be like, because I wouldn't do the books when they're like, Where's that one guy at?
SPEAKER_00Where's the other guy? Just me. Yeah, I would also say David's simply the all his impersonations.
SPEAKER_07He's dressing up like them too. Different personas. I would say Kenna. Wow, guys. Just think the Canadian. I don't know. The Canadian.
SPEAKER_09I also think it's part of when you say, like, oh, what was it you said last episode? She does like the uh true, it's true.
SPEAKER_08I also think my uh my accent changes depending on what environment I'm in. Like when I'd go to Canada for the summer, like completely Canadian accent, and it's horrible. But I can't, I'm very much chameleon-esque when it comes to like if someone's talking an accent, I can't help but also do that. Unfortunately, so it could very much happen. Like people would probably assume I'm Canadian if I actually lived there. So that's okay.
SPEAKER_06That happens to be with any southern accent at all. Like I'm at work and somebody comes in and they have a deeply southern accent, and they're like gotta recreate it.
SPEAKER_07Actually, maybe you're gonna always just be talking the southern accent all the time. I did it today at work and I got caught.
SPEAKER_06That's fun.
SPEAKER_09You're card on for it.
SPEAKER_06It just came out, I didn't mean to. And like someone I did it. I was ladies, it's so good to see you today. There was one time where I was like, I had an appointment after work and I was talking about it, and like I was like irritated because like the time got changed, and I had to stay late for work, and like I wasn't, I was scared I wasn't gonna make it. And I was just like, Yeah, I just gotta get out of here. I gotta get my oil changed. And then everybody was like, You're what? And I was like, You're oil. I said oil. I said my oil changed. I walk in sometimes and be like, So, how's your oil doing today?
SPEAKER_09Actually, it was my power this time.
SPEAKER_06Good. I'm gonna tell Sheila.
Naked Or Homeless Turtle Debate
SPEAKER_07Question.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_07If a turtle is not wearing its shell, is it naked or homeless?
SPEAKER_09I think it's dead. I think it's dead.
SPEAKER_07No, that's not the option. The option is They need it! But that's not an option.
SPEAKER_08This is a cartoon turtle, David.
SPEAKER_07Have you not seen Over the Head? Choosing that little turtle get out of the shell. That's right. Is he naked or is he homeless?
SPEAKER_10He's naked. Naked. He's naked. Because turtle is a little bit of a little bit of a still lives. Home is where the heart is.
SPEAKER_06I say both because you can't add the clothes on his back. Jen's gonna love that one. Shout out. Shout out.
Over The Hedge Character Assignments
SPEAKER_06Follow-up question: if each one of us was a character from Over the Hedge, who would be who? I'll be that skunk.
SPEAKER_07What's her name voices her? The one before. I'll be that skunk. Abby that skunk. I'm that skunk. But you know what I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_09I know what you're talking about.
SPEAKER_07Wanda Sykes. Actually, maybe it wouldn't be her. I think Hammy. Which one's Hammy?
SPEAKER_06I do think you would be squirrel.
SPEAKER_09I thought I was gonna be Hammy.
SPEAKER_06No, you're gonna be the raccoon. Yeah. I think I do think David would be RJ. Yeah. RJ.
SPEAKER_09Thank you.
SPEAKER_06RJ!
SPEAKER_09I do, I always thought he was so cute.
SPEAKER_01Wow, thanks.
SPEAKER_06Can I just say I never missed an episode? Does that make Lawrence the cat from the house?
SPEAKER_09Who's the Terminator?
SPEAKER_07I'm Hammy. I'm Hammy. He's the Prinkles. Right.
SPEAKER_09He's the Prinkles.
SPEAKER_06Don't say it. I just have a feeling of it. What? No, say your answer. No, you No, I don't know. No.
SPEAKER_09No, say it.
SPEAKER_06She said the mom.
SPEAKER_09The lady who owns the house.
SPEAKER_06I thought it was gonna be that or the verminator. You know what's funny? I was gonna say the verminator. I was gonna say you were the verminator. Tyrese Avril Levine as the possum. I was like it. I'll take this.
SPEAKER_05I love Avril. I'll take it. Avril.
SPEAKER_06And somehow Mary Grace might be her dad.
SPEAKER_09I think Kennedy's the turtle.
SPEAKER_06I think. No, wait. Oh my gosh, what's the freaking animal? Is it hedgehogs? Are they in there? Yeah.
SPEAKER_09Oh, is it a porcupine?
SPEAKER_06Porcupine, yeah, that's what it is. The mama porcupine is the baby grace.
SPEAKER_09Kennedy's the turtle.
SPEAKER_06Crazy fork.
SPEAKER_09Crazy for well.
SPEAKER_06And this is just us. Are you still the raccoon? Are you beefing the entire time?
SPEAKER_09Probably.
SPEAKER_08No, I really compared to other people on this podcast.
SPEAKER_09I did re-listen to the one episode where he was the guest, where it was Lawrence's first episode. And for some reason you asked him, like, oh, when you worked on the for farm, what did you do? And I, for some reason, I was like, what do you think?
SPEAKER_10I was like, well, I can't. Yeah, I remember I was beefing with Kennedy that episode. Hard.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, I cut out some of the beef actually.
Island Leader And Best Spy
SPEAKER_05I have a question. If this group, if we all got stranded together on a desert island, like Lord of the Flies, who would become the leader and who would die first?
SPEAKER_07Oh gosh.
SPEAKER_05I've never read Lord of the Flies.
SPEAKER_07Don't be overrated.
SPEAKER_09Basically, a bunch of kids get stranded on an island and they kind of like all create like a faction, and then yeah, basically that.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Hey, do you guys not read this in high school? No.
SPEAKER_09Dude, I was homeschooled, and Neon and I did. Really?
SPEAKER_05Your mom made you read that. And then they put like the head of a pig on a stake, and then it a lot happens. It's a classic, apparently. I love that.
SPEAKER_00You said who would become the leader who would die first?
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Hope I'll die first. Hey, if you have these raw plotting against me, just do it.
SPEAKER_07Just do it.
SPEAKER_09I'm not gonna answer this question.
SPEAKER_07Gray's our leader. Gray's gonna be a little bit of a little bit more.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, no, actually, I feel like Gray would be a very, you know, reasonable leader.
SPEAKER_07I'll I'll follow Gray.
SPEAKER_09I'd follow him to battle.
SPEAKER_08He has a level head. Yes. Yeah. He knows a lot about say very much, but he knows a lot about animals. Yeah. Yeah. And not even a pufferfish can take it out. That's tough. That's true.
SPEAKER_00Indestructible.
SPEAKER_05Who would make the best spy? Oh.
SPEAKER_08Uh-huh. I feel like these are kind of like not nice. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_09I don't see. I don't see how this one's bad.
SPEAKER_00I feel like I because of my. I'm thinking like a super spy. It makes me feel like you can see who's betrayed.
SPEAKER_06In the same context. Like in the context of Lord of the Flies? No.
SPEAKER_09Like within like Super Spy, like James Ball.
SPEAKER_06Like an international super spy.
SPEAKER_07Wait, so the spy betrays people?
SPEAKER_06No, no, no. This is in general, like a spy. I'm thinking totally think like 007 or mission in politics.
SPEAKER_00I feel like Tom Materworth, like so obviously not a spy, you become a great spy. I think you're a curious one. I think so. I think so.
SPEAKER_09And I think. Yeah, I gotta go with Morgan.
SPEAKER_08I think that might be the correct answer.
SPEAKER_06I have to kill all female.
SPEAKER_08Dang it. The com shot with the cover up. He's right next to you there. It's actually like a secret.
SPEAKER_09She pulls a lever, a bunch of guns come out of the wall, and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_06I pull out the men in black thing. You're in different wigs in the back. Oh. My face is masked. I can't remember what it was.
SPEAKER_03What was that? Take a deep breath.
SPEAKER_07Blood and white chicks. The whole thing is sending spy. Pull it together.
SPEAKER_06No, but what the guy thinks the real sisters are like fake. And you're like, pretend to be the sisters, and he's like, see, and he tries to pull like the wig off or anything, and nothing moves. And then I totally imagine that happening.
SPEAKER_10Tyree would do that too. See, this is her wig.
SPEAKER_06That's how I get found out.
SPEAKER_03I can't hear what anybody's saying.
SPEAKER_01Oh my goodness.
SPEAKER_09Are you okay in there, girl?
SPEAKER_06I'm sorry, this has cheese. I'll be right back. Oh my gosh. This has cheese?
SPEAKER_09Girl, we don't we don't go up a side. Just squeeze.
unknownThat's crazy.
Lottery Money And Impulse Spending
SPEAKER_05If somebody won the lottery, who would be the first one to spend all of their money?
SPEAKER_01Oh.
SPEAKER_05Mary Grace? I think Mary. Morgan and Lawrence.
SPEAKER_08Lawrence, you're a spender?
SPEAKER_00Low-key. Unfortunately.
SPEAKER_07What do you spend on? Name brands. Big name brands.
SPEAKER_09Hey, hey. Hey, hey, whoa, whoa.
SPEAKER_00No, I feel like I don't buy like things often. But it's like when I do buy something, it's like I am more of like a buy once, cry once. Like, if I'm buying something, I'd rather spend enough money so it's like it lasts and it's like good. Yeah. That's fair. You know what I'm saying? Like, but I don't buy things often. Like, I wear the same pair of shoes. Like, you know, like I don't buy.
SPEAKER_06I'll get the same pair of shoes.
SPEAKER_00But yeah, I was saying Sorry, I thought I lost one.
SPEAKER_10You actually just get petty curious. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god.
SPEAKER_07And that was, I would actually say Morgan.
SPEAKER_06I don't know.
SPEAKER_07I feel you're a spender too.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but I also would get to the point where I'd be like, crap, I'm going to run that. Like, I'm not. I think when I'm a spender, I'm an impulsive spender. But I don't think overall I actually spend as much money as it seems like. I just think it's like whenever I'd buy something, I'm like, guys, guess what I got? But it's like very thrifty too.
SPEAKER_07You're a giver. That's that's the way my head was going. You're not buying for yourself. You're giving. You're like, let me get you that. Let me get that for you. Let me. You know what I'm saying? That's what I was thinking.
SPEAKER_00Well, question. If say you were given $10,000, would you spend like spend it all on like a lot of big things or a couple of big things or like a bunch of small things?
SPEAKER_07Only $10,000.
SPEAKER_06I'm investing house. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_07Only $10,000? I wanna I wanna buy a house. A little more than that. That's only $10,000.
SPEAKER_09I would say for $10,000, I would try to keep it, but more so like small things.
SPEAKER_05I'd invest it all until I get got rich off of that. What Bitcoin? Until I last.
SPEAKER_06Well, at first I would tithe.
SPEAKER_00Get to the homeless person, you know.
SPEAKER_06First I would be a giver, and then if there's anything left.
SPEAKER_01If.
SPEAKER_06And that's a big if.
SPEAKER_09Well how generous I am.
SPEAKER_04I'm here. I would have to put it towards my dad.
SPEAKER_05There's a what's that phrase? It's a drop in the bucket? Ocean? Yeah. Bucket. Barely. No, that's a drop in the ocean. It's a drop in a bucket. That's a drop in the ocean for me. Hey, school owns. But if I got way more than $10,000, I'd probably buy a boat first. Ooh. Yep. You can all come on my boat.
SPEAKER_07Good choice. Or a horse.
SPEAKER_05I've always worn a horse.
