The Parrot Knows Too Much
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
If you think you know your friends, ask them two things: what smell they love most, and what a parrot would repeat if it lived in their house. That’s how this hangout starts and it immediately turns into the best kind of chaos: oddly specific comfort scents (lavender vanilla, fresh rain, bonfires, fresh-cut grass), wild takes like “post office air” and “hotel pool chlorine,” and the kind of nostalgia that makes you realize scent memory is basically a time machine.
Then we bring on our friends Caleb and Alezia (plus baby Gideon making perfectly timed appearances)! We build the ultimate dream home wishlist with details people actually search for when planning a future house: wraparound porch, sunroom, library room with a window nook, built-in storage for books and vinyl, prep kitchen, movie theater room, huge garage, and big backyards. We top it off with our craziest childhood memories including Grey's near death experience and debate whose reality show would get canceled first. Finish with walk-up songs that double as a playlist you’ll want to steal.
If you laughed, send this to a friend group chat and tell us your answer: what would your parrot repeat the most? Subscribe, share the show, and leave a review so more people can find Just Us Talking. AND SEND US FAN MAIL! (maybe we'll have you on the pod)
Favorite Scents Icebreaker
SPEAKER_08Hi guys, welcome back to Just Us Talking. Today we have some very dear friends of mine. We have Caleb, Alicia, and their baby Gideon.
unknownWoo!
SPEAKER_08Baby says hi. Hi guys. So my name is Tyree, and my favorite scent is the Gain Laundry Detergent, specifically the powder. And it was a tie between that and indoor hotel indoor pools.
SPEAKER_10That's weird.
SPEAKER_04No, that's weird. No, it's not. I have so many points.
SPEAKER_02Just keep them to myself. I didn't even know this was the intro question.
SPEAKER_09I'm Mary Grace, and one of my favorite scents is a Bath Body Works one. It's lavender vanilla. And it's one of the best. You don't have a weird one. A weird one? I don't I don't know. I was trying to I was trying to think of it. It's okay.
SPEAKER_08It's okay.
SPEAKER_04It's a roommate thing.
SPEAKER_08It's okay. Roommate thing.
SPEAKER_07That's right. I'm Morgan and my favorite scent. Ooh. I like fresh rain and.
SPEAKER_08Hey, I also like vanilla. Okay.
SPEAKER_07I don't only like weird sleep. Fresh rain. There's a scent. I don't know which one it is. Badbath and beyond. Bath Body Works. Bath Body Works. Thank you. Thank you. Can never remember. It's called Bookaloft. That is the best thing on this planet. It's clean. And also a hot take. I really like the smell of like freshly cut grass. Yeah. It's a good one. That's not a hot dog. Some people really hate it though.
SPEAKER_06That was arguably one of my least favorite. I'll tell you. Some people. I thought it was my least favorite.
SPEAKER_08Some people's next thing.
SPEAKER_06Me? I'm Greasy. My favorite scent, or one of my favorite scents, is the post office. Okay. Okay, you're ready. No, it's giving. Hey, hey, which one? The one in Norfolk? The one on the one on.
SPEAKER_07Okay.
SPEAKER_06Parchment paper? Yeah. Like a big whip of that. Ooh, my dad had like a P.O. box in there and I'd go in. I would be sniffing up the place. And then one of my least favorite would have to be farts.
SPEAKER_02I got bad news for you.
SPEAKER_01My name is Kennedy. One of my favorite, I love like chlorine and bleach. Not in a concerning way. It just like hotels. In a healthy way. And then like not in a concerning way. I'm not like sniffing bleach like that. But anyway. I will sniff all of the air. I love it. It's like, oh, it's too good. I will sniff all of the air out of the air. It's just my childhood. It's memories. But I also love, I can't tell you when it happens, but like when it's officially to me the first day of fall, there's like a certain scent in the air. Yes. And you can't, it's only for like that one like first day or two, and I love it so much. Yes. It's specific. Thank you, Kennedy. That's another one I'll say. Bonfires. The smell of bonfires. Yes.
SPEAKER_09Boom. Bonfire in the air.
SPEAKER_02Hi, I'm David. My favorite scent, I guess, not a funny one. I just like vanilla. Vanilla's a good scent. But a funny one, I would say, like a, I don't know, like a freshly, like a brand new car. I don't know. Like you get into a brand new car.
SPEAKER_08That's a good one.
SPEAKER_02That's a good one. And then my least favorite smell, unpopular opinion, puppy breath.
SPEAKER_08Oh, I love puppy breath.
SPEAKER_02I don't like puppy breath. I think puppy breath is not that good. I don't think it's like nasty. I don't like it.
SPEAKER_06What about a Frito Paw?
SPEAKER_02Frito Paw. Those are that's cute. I love a Frito Paw. I love a Frito Paw. Trust me, guys, when the puppies are Frito Paw. If the puppies are available, I will be bringing them. Oh yes.
SPEAKER_00Okay. My name is Alicia, and my favorite scent, also like David, is probably vanilla. I also like the smell of gasoline. Gasoline, yes. And I'm not a fan of coconut. Oh, I love coconut.
SPEAKER_02That's not a crazy thing to say.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Wow. Not crazy.
SPEAKER_04I'm Caleb. My relatable favorite scent is probably like flannel from Bath Body Works. That's good.
SPEAKER_08Flannel.
SPEAKER_04But also but also race fuel, specifically race fuel, not just gasoline, but it's peak.
unknownNiche.
SPEAKER_08Gideon?
SPEAKER_04Niche.
SPEAKER_08What's your favorite smell? He actually can't talk, so.
SPEAKER_04Gideon's. He has some sort of bath and body work scent. Nurturing currently. Don't remember what it is, but. Oh, good there, okay.
SPEAKER_02Are you guys okay with us saying Gideon's then? Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_08He's our baby now. Unless we're a podcast baby.
SPEAKER_10You've relinquished him from just us talking to the baby. Guys, we all had a baby.
SPEAKER_08Hey, this is our mask, just us babies.
SPEAKER_07New podcast coming soon.
SPEAKER_03Alright.
Parrot Phrases And Catchphrases
SPEAKER_02Alright, sorry. You want to start us off?
SPEAKER_08I shall. The first question. So, spoiler, I was with Alicia and Caleb. You know the secret question. I know the secret question. No. We went to Chili's. I'll let them say it. We went to Chili's and Texas Roadhouse. Yeah, we went to Texas Road. My bad. Sorry, forgive me. Can't get it. Two out of the big three.
SPEAKER_03Can't say how we get them mixed up.
SPEAKER_08We went to Texas Roadhouse and I like screened their questions to make sure you know everything. And Alicia was telling them to me. And the first question, I had such a reaction, I was like, no, we need to let them blindly react to it because it's such a good question. So nervous. Yes, they're gonna start us off. Okay.
SPEAKER_09Some.
SPEAKER_02I'm nervous.
SPEAKER_03You should be. I'm very nervous right now.
SPEAKER_00There is a backstory to this question, too. If a parrot lived in your house, what would be the phrase that is repeated the most?
SPEAKER_03Oh could you guys start or you lost?
SPEAKER_05We can start, I guess. Okay, go for it. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_04I think we kind of have a collective one. It's kind of like or no, Gideon, stop. But during basketball season, I'm a very, very diehard Duke fan. I know, I know you're the other blue fan, Gracie, but whatever. It's okay to be wrong. It's fine. Jesus still does.
SPEAKER_05You're literally a devil. Like make that make sense. Okay. Alright, we're good.
SPEAKER_11This is a now a debate episode.
unknownI can't. I can't.
SPEAKER_04But I yell at the TV pretty consistently, and probably the most uh the phrase I use the most is get the ball. I just yell at them. Get the ball. What are we doing? Or what are we doing?
SPEAKER_08Who makes Kinsude yell that often? Like it.
SPEAKER_07Gracie's most you'll sleep.
SPEAKER_00Um so at home, like he said, is probably no, Gideon, stop. What are you doing? Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_04Catching strength.
SPEAKER_00But if it were to follow me around at work, I'd be probably oh sorry, not sorry, or that's not my problem. Oh sweet. What do you do for work?
SPEAKER_06orthodonist office. Lit. What do you do for work?
SPEAKER_04Mechanic.
SPEAKER_06Sick. Gideon? Gideon? He sleeves. Professional nappers.
SPEAKER_04This is Ken. Ken's job is that is funny.
SPEAKER_08Mine, I probably say I'm a bruh girl. I say bruh all the time. Bruh, or I say like, ay Dios mío.
SPEAKER_04It's only Spanish chinos.
SPEAKER_08Uh okay. Or the Hamilton soundtracks. I feel like. I forgot to introduce Caleb as my biggest hater. Okay, let's redo the intro. Let's redo the intro. Everything I say, he's gonna look at the end. So yeah. That was my answer.
SPEAKER_09I feel like if a parrot lived in our apartment, that would probably just copy us laughing a lot. Yeah. And then maybe like when we're hanging out with our friends, like the sister. If the parrot was living in my where my siblings live, it would be a lot of like bro. Bro. Like bruh. Or stuff like that. Or whatever is the latest TikTok like sound. That'd be that a lot. That is what that's what the parrot would agree. Yeah. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_03Nothing for Mary Christmas.
SPEAKER_09That would be so funny. That would be what it was. The parrot's favorite, please.
SPEAKER_07That is so funny. I like this question a lot. I have a lot that I say a lot. You know what I mean? There's a couple like single words that I feel like like I say brother a lot. I do say chat a lot. I'm trying to work on it.
SPEAKER_05Guys, we're cooking chat. I'm like, are we cooking chat? You're a brain rot, bro.
SPEAKER_07Secretly a teenage boy. Honestly, it is from work. We're with adults. There's a couple of high schoolers. They've infected me. I'm just like things I'm infected. I'm like, chat. Chat. What do we think? I think that's the main one. I don't know. And then like I'll hit a herd every now and then. Um. There's another one I'm forgetting that's more. I don't know. That's peak. No, I say that's peak. I say that so okay.
unknownYay!
SPEAKER_07Yay!
SPEAKER_02Everyone reacted in a valid way, but no, I re-listened to three episodes today, and the amount of times you said that's peak in every single one.
SPEAKER_07That is the thing I said the most.
SPEAKER_10I think we need a counter.
SPEAKER_07This episode count how many peaks. But if the parrot were to copy a motion, it would be six seven. If a parrot could six seven with his wings.
SPEAKER_04You get your parrot and find out.
SPEAKER_07Or he floated in the air and used the talents.
SPEAKER_06In my apartment, it would be a lot like I just randomly start singing like just like funny things here and there. So the parrot would just be singing all the time. It would also, whenever anyone's being sassy, I'd be like, don't be nasty. So a parrot would be like, don't be nasty. Because I said, And also like, it'd be like, nasty. Like if someone's being gross, like I'm like, oh, like not nasty, sometimes they're gross, but like if they're like sassy, okay, they have bad attitude. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_08Have you seen the video on Instagram? I feel like your parents would sing like, I'm friends with the monsters.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, is that also you like start saying stuff and then you start going to a high pitched where you're like excited. So it's like it could be any sentence the parent would say, but you'd be like, and then Okay.
SPEAKER_05I'll take it.
SPEAKER_07It's with this too. Emotion.
SPEAKER_01Um mine would be, I don't know, I've hadn't, I didn't have enough time to think about it, really, but I think I say freak a lot. And freaking. And I also say grades are trying to take out the dog a lot. Because it's always his turn to take out the dog. It's always. And I say that. I think I've infected my chat a little bit. Oh yes. I think, I think No, no.
SPEAKER_08Your parent would add oh yeah to the end of the he always says, like, what's her or no?
SPEAKER_01No, yeah, it's the uh at the end of every word. I can't, like, I have to really focus not to do it. But I say chow a lot, and I also say bruh now all the time. And I never used to, but it's okay. We're so back. We're so back, yes. We're so back. I got that from her though. A lot of the things I steal from Morgan, actually.
SPEAKER_07A lot of them. Sometimes I like sink in new ones into the podcast, and I'm like, is this gonna get picked up?
SPEAKER_01We're like texting the waters. Because they also do that's so crimp now. And I don't have to that. That's right.
SPEAKER_02Okay. For me, I did just get two new puppies, so it would probably be a lot of ah, no. Quit it out.
SPEAKER_03Quit it out.
SPEAKER_02Quit it's yeah, well, it's a lot of times it's just combining words that I have to yell because they're just being low monsters. But then it'd probably be a lot of bruh. I do that all the time around my house. And then also singing would be any Lady Gaga song.
SPEAKER_03Oh gosh.
SPEAKER_09I can test. Throwback. I feel like you're a parrot would do impressions after you.
SPEAKER_02Would copy my Cartman or like my crock.
SPEAKER_07You'd walk into your house and it's singing bad romance.
SPEAKER_02In the crock impression.
SPEAKER_08Squiggly.
SPEAKER_02Squiggly, squeaky squiggly, squiggy.
SPEAKER_08Squeak, squeaky, squeakerton. Nice. Next to question. That was a great question. Good job. I love that question.
Dream Home Nonnegotiables
SPEAKER_08If you were to build your dream home, what are your three absolute must-haves that you would not budge on? I've already, I already had my answer because I my dream home is already in my Pinterest. So I already know everything that I'm gonna do. Mine were, I actually saw this on like TikTok or something, but there's like this little door that people get in their garage where you can put your groceries in it, and the other side of the door is in the kitchen. And I thought that that was the best idea ever because I hate carrying groceries.
SPEAKER_09Yeah.
SPEAKER_08I'm a one-tripper. I will never ever ever make two trips to get my groceries as long as I will live. The other one is a library room to put all of my books, and then I want a porch.
SPEAKER_00Like a wraparound porch or just a porch?
SPEAKER_08Just a porch. Just a porch. I I would like a wraparound porch, but if I have to settle on just a porch, that'd be okay too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_09We have similar ones. I'm actually living together. Yes. And the dream for the rest of our life. It's our yeah, it's our house. I would also want a wraparound porch. I would want. Yeah, basically like a library room, but I would want in the library room there to be like one of those bay windows where it's like a seat in the window. And you can there's like bookshelves on either side, so you can just like lay in the window and like read books. I've always wanted one of those. My I would have to have a jacuzzi bathtub. Have to. Yes. And then I added a fourth. I would have a fourth. Wait, just go for three.
SPEAKER_07Go for four.
SPEAKER_09Yes. I guess this is this isn't the house, but I want enough land to have animals and enough land to like ride four-wheelers around my property. Dang! Yes.
SPEAKER_06Country boy.
SPEAKER_08In the scopes of our house that we've made, we are going to be simultaneously near beach, but also near Lake. Yes.
SPEAKER_07And made lake on the property. And the country. Near the beach. Cheer me out. Yes. All of it. Those are in the plans.
SPEAKER_02With the full transcending week.
SPEAKER_07Yes. Mary Grace and I have very similar ones. My first one, I've always wanted a wraparound porch. That is like my like dream house will have that. Yes. It's because I also just think of like the scene for the Hid of Antana movie with Raspberry. I want that in real life. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_04That's top tier.
SPEAKER_07Wrap around porch, Rascal Frass scene, God bless the front road. The best version you'll ever hear. Did not like that answer. I'm sorry. We can have a little big town instead.
SPEAKER_02Do not bring up Rascal Blastion.
SPEAKER_03No Rascoplash from the baby. Oh my God.
SPEAKER_02Alright, so the baby is okay. He's just a little cranky.
SPEAKER_01He's alright. Guys, it is almost 9 o'clock. Just fairness.
SPEAKER_04Bedtime's literally like 10 30. So he is just acting. He goes to sleep and we go to sleep.
SPEAKER_07He's just doing it for a bit. It was wrapped uplasma.
SPEAKER_02It was. It was.
SPEAKER_07Oh.
SPEAKER_02Should we continue?
SPEAKER_07Sorry, yes, yes, yes. Thank you, David. I wasn't gonna stop.
SPEAKER_05I was kinda gonna stop.
SPEAKER_10That was a genuine question. Like I didn't know if you guys were gonna wait for it to come out.
SPEAKER_07Nobody. My second one is a bay window with like seating, like a little nook, like a breakfast nook. Yes. That type beat. Tight beat. Type beat. And then, yeah, there's another one. And then I also would love a lot, similarly to the library, but like just a lot of built-in storage for vinyl. Like a whole room with like modern Sawyer. Yes, Sawyer.
SPEAKER_06And for me. I would like my house to have a porch, like a nice porch with a swing and a willow tree. Period. That's all one a porch, swing, and a willow tree. Then I want a sunroom. You know what I'm saying? Like a little sunroom, natural light, like hang out and have people over, and then a massive yard for my dogs. You know what I'm saying? Because I'm not getting out early and I'm not. I just want to open the back door and they can run. She needs to be able to go no shoes. I I need yeah, no, real.
SPEAKER_07Real. Back out for your dogs.
SPEAKER_01Hey, I didn't get it. It's okay. Sorry. Kennedy. Okay, mine. I would definitely want to be on a lake. You know, and I have a boat with it. But anyway, anyway. I also think I'd like like a movie theater room. I think that's really fun with like nice, comfortable chairs, but it's like a huge screen. I've seen houses like that, and I'm like, I would like that. Period. But also, my main thing that I would really like is something called like a prep kitchen, where it's like you have your kitchen that everyone can see, and then like it behind doors, like in a closet, there's a your own kitchen. Yeah. Where like you keep all your like kitchen aid and utensils, so like your counter space, and then it can be a bit messy, and you're like baking in like all your things are there, but then you have this lovely kitchen that is never touched and is beautiful that people can like be around and they're not like why but then behind closed doors is I've seen the kitchen.
SPEAKER_08Because like, where are you supposed to like anywhere you put your kitchen aid, it's always gonna be in the way. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Like, there's a butt, like even just like toasters and air fryers would be like, you don't have enough counter space.
SPEAKER_02What's the point of having a kitchen if you don't use it? I don't want to do it.
SPEAKER_01No, I do want to use it, but I want it to be like a community thing, not where like I'm actually always like cooking and baking because it gets really messy. It's like two separate things.
SPEAKER_08But it would be a fishing space, it would be automatic work space.
SPEAKER_01Yes, yes, yes. Don't look at all the flour.
SPEAKER_08Who wants to be able to do it?
SPEAKER_01Sure, you don't want to keep moving it back and forth, and yeah, it just can all be set the way I want it and not to move it when people come over. It's its own.
SPEAKER_08One of the reasons I don't use mine is because it weighs so freaking much. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_07We even have like a shelf like at my parents' house, there's like a one where you pull it out and like raise it up. Doesn't it work? Now you still have to lift it off the thing onto the countertop to use it because you can't just stay up. Essentially, I could just pick it up from the bottom of the thing easier. It's easier to do that than to get the shelf together.
SPEAKER_08Could you use it just in there? No.
SPEAKER_07No. Because once it starts shaking, the whole thing drops in. I've never done that before. I've never done that in my life.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. So, number one, definitely big backyard with an in-ground pool. I always thought an in-ground pool was like the cool, but I want like enough room for both. Like I want a yard, but I also want the in-ground pool. I always thought in-ground pools were the coolest thing as a kid. And then I realized like, man, almost every other person has one. Like, I'm not it's not that special. Uh secondly, I don't know, just a nice kitchen. Yeah. One with a working stove. My stove hasn't worked in two years. So how do you think that's a good thing? I air fry everything. And then third would definitely be like a big garage. Like enough for storage, like a home gym. And then to park cars. Like just a big garage where you could like do anything you wanted in there. I think that'd be a good thing.
SPEAKER_08How many car garage? Like four.
SPEAKER_07Four car garage? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm not.
SPEAKER_07He wants to fast and furious pull his cars into the driveway.
SPEAKER_02No, I actually want like a secret underground compartment that stores the extra cars.
SPEAKER_08Part of my home I want a Nissan skyline. Part of my home I want Pole Walker there. I should have actually said that.
SPEAKER_02Rest in peace.
SPEAKER_07Blonde Man exception.
SPEAKER_02Alright. I hate the hate.
SPEAKER_00Alright. So mine, so my first one. It's a nice kitchen with a big island, but the island has to have electricity.
SPEAKER_08Very specific, but very needed.
SPEAKER_00Yes. The my next one would be a nice master bathroom. Like double vanity, jacuzzi tub, separate shower, the whole like the works in the master bathroom. And then the third one, it doesn't necessarily have to be a bay window, but just a nice place, nice place to display my Christmas tree at Christmas time.
SPEAKER_08That's a very hard.
SPEAKER_02You want like part of the Christmas tree facing a window?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So it's essentially a bay window.
SPEAKER_00But it doesn't have to have that.
SPEAKER_02That's sweet.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_02That's really awesome.
SPEAKER_03Those are my point. Good choice, good choice.
unknownGood choice.
SPEAKER_08That's a good one. Gotta have the Christmas tree. Gotta.
SPEAKER_04I feel like mine were well, my main one was taken. A wraparound porch, but I'll add to it maybe like a French doors out of the master bedroom right onto like the porch so you can go sit in the morning. A library. Because, you know, like who doesn't like to just sit and read? And then this one is I've since I can remember, a two-room fireplace, like a fireplace that is shared by two rooms. So like the master room and then like a den that share a fireplace.
SPEAKER_01Wait. It was just Mary Grace's reaction. I'm not laughing at that. She was gonna be.
SPEAKER_09As soon as you said fireplace, I was like, uh, a real fireplace, not a gas one, a real fireplace.
SPEAKER_04This also partly because my fireplace in our house does not work, and I'm very upset about it.
SPEAKER_08I want like a big enough bedroom to where I have a fireplace in my bedroom.
SPEAKER_04That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_08Like I said that last year. Well, like, okay.
SPEAKER_04But like you you you have a fire, and then like you want to entertain. You entertain people in the den, and then you're like, I want to go to sleep by the coziness of firelight, and then you just the coziness of fire go to sleep, and it's it just goes out fire and cozy. Fire and cozy.
SPEAKER_08That's a good one. I'm gonna have to redo my list.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. You guys have good ones. I think I would also want a sunroom like Gracie. Yeah, sure. And I would want my part of my wraparound porch to be screened in so you could sit out there in the summertime and not get eaten alive.
SPEAKER_08Not get the buggies on you. Yes. Yes, that's a good one. Good you, good you.
SPEAKER_02I think he agreed with that one.
SPEAKER_08What do you want to say, Gideon? You want to hop on a mic?
SPEAKER_02That's a stupid like no mosquitoes.
SPEAKER_08We hear you.
SPEAKER_11He doesn't like mosquitoes.
SPEAKER_08Nobody does. Name one person that does. Gray loves them. Oh, great. Great little rice putting his hands together. Gray has mosquitoes.
SPEAKER_02Alright.
SPEAKER_08Next cue.
Wild Childhood Memories Begin
SPEAKER_08So, what is your craziest slash wildest childhood memory? I don't know if I've shared this before. And if you ever see me laughing to nothing, this is probably what I'm thinking about. I really don't remember if I shared this before, but we used to go to this one park. This is back like early, early when before we moved to Chesapeake, we first lived in Ocean View before it was gentrified. So, like before it was nice. It's still not nice, but mediocre bet. It was below, below. Anyways, but my dad used to take me to this park, he would play basketball, and it was like a few basketball courts, and then like a tennis court, and all the way on the other side of this park was like like a jungle gym thing, and they had like a tire swing and whatever. And I was on the tire swing just by myself, and this group of girls come up trying to like bully me out of the tire swing, and they literally like they literally like stepped up to me and like would push me and whatever. And I was like, These people are heathens, and so I ran. There was like this this fence, and then the other side of the fence at the other end of the was this golf course, and so I don't know why I ran towards the golf course, and I was like, nowhere to go, like one of those cartoons or whatever. So I decided to climb the fence, and I got stuck at the top of the fence on my fans.
SPEAKER_10No, no way, this is real. No way.
SPEAKER_08My fans got stuck at the top, and I like got stuck like sideways or whatever, and the girls like laughed at me or whatever, they went away. But I was like yelling for my dad all the way on the other side of the park, and it took him like 20 minutes to like hear me and come over, and then he had to come over and like obviously like take me down. My pants had ripped and everything, and I was like, just take me home.
SPEAKER_07That's what it's like leave me here. I called to you and you didn't come. Leave me. She's holding the fence like this. She's like, just leave me.
SPEAKER_01That's not funny. That's hilarious. Imagine sweet little Tyree on the top of it.
SPEAKER_02When I imagine Tyree as a kid, I imagine young Tyree, but she has the same like tone and voice as a dog Tyree.
SPEAKER_08I was like very, like, and everybody always says like I was very quiet, very shy, very like sweet. I was sweet. Something changed, but I was really sweet and like, aww it was that day actually that changed her. Started your village story. That's my origin story right there.
SPEAKER_02She said, I'm gonna make them regret it.
SPEAKER_08I was like crying, like daddy! And like, I was like, bro, he came finally, and I was like, you know what? Just let me die here. It's too late.
SPEAKER_07It's too early. It's too late. These girls are. Sorry, it's a three-foot fence. It's too late. Leave me behind. Leave me. Just save yourself. Just drop your leg. So yeah.
SPEAKER_09I feel like my story is not that good compared to that, because it's really not, I don't know, it's just the best. I was trying to think of something crazy. I was like, I don't know. Like when we were a long time ago at my grandparents' house, there was a bird that got stuck in our chimney. So that died? I think we got it out. Oh honestly, I can't remember. I yeah, that's why fireplace.
SPEAKER_08Do you have one?
SPEAKER_09And my my grandparents have a yeah, they have a chimney, but they didn't they didn't use it that much. So there was a bird that was flying around our living room. And then I think eventually yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08The bird?
SPEAKER_09The bird, yeah. And then I think it got I don't know if it came from the chimney and came out through the fireplace, or if it came in through the door. I don't know. Oh, that reminds me. Speaking of wildlife getting in our house, we did have a cat that used to hunt. Like, he was a legitimate, like he wouldn't he wouldn't just bring us birds, he would bring us like rabbits and like frogs and like a bunch of random stuff. So we would find like random dead.
SPEAKER_08He wanted to let you know that he got you. Yes. And he did.
SPEAKER_09He did. So I guess those are some weird things that happened, but they're I don't know.
SPEAKER_08That reminded me of the episode of The Office where Meredith got bit by the bat.
SPEAKER_07I can just imagine like your granddad, like with the bag. Like he put a trash bag over my head.
SPEAKER_09It was probably as chaotic as that in our house. That's fantastic.
SPEAKER_02Alright, I'm gonna cut in because one of my stories is so similar to that. When I was r when I was really little, like I think I was like maybe six, a bat got into our house through the chimney.
Bats In The House
SPEAKER_08And then like guys, we might have to rethink the no chimneys actually.
SPEAKER_10I don't have a great idea, guys.
SPEAKER_08Just close the bit.
SPEAKER_02It went through it was going through the house. I remember the house being pretty big and it somehow made its way, like the dogs start barking at it, so my dad comes downstairs and he's like, What's going on? The bat starts diving at my dad. Oh, and when he finally grabs something and attacking it, it goes up into my room and starts dive bombing my bed. And I just remember waking up feeling like like something like hitting me. I'm like, what? And my dad busts in the room after it and he goes, get under the blankets now. I look up, this bat's like actually dive bombing my head. And I'm like six years old, and I I start like freaking out. And I have it's like I have like this little blanket that you can totally see through. And I see it just like, and my dad has a broom, he's going like, he's swinging, knocking everything over. My mom comes in, she starts screaming, and I remember poking my head every time I would try to poke my head up. My dad, I just remember the most like not blood curdling, but like strict get off my god now. And then he hit it so hard against. I remember I had an Optimus Prime Toy.
SPEAKER_10He hit it against that so hard.
unknownIt died.
SPEAKER_02Oh, we were like, then we took it out back and buried it and had like a nice little funeral for the Optimus Prime Toy?
SPEAKER_07No, for that.
SPEAKER_05What is the thing breathing? What is the eye? Did I even say much? That's our clip.
SPEAKER_01Guys, we found our clip.
SPEAKER_07That's her. I thought, I thought you said that he hit it so hard that he hit the Optimus Prime Toy off the walls like that. And then he hit the door. All I heard was that, and then we had a funeral for it. I said, What?
SPEAKER_02Also, recipes, uh Peter McClellan. Yeah. I'm so sad. Very sad.
SPEAKER_07Morgan? Um sorry. There's I got I got a couple. I was trying to wheel down because one I don't know if we can put on here, and I'm already. Oh. I have a backup. I have a backup. This one we can cut, or I can read you part of it. Um,
Creepy Ferret And Trampoline Disasters
SPEAKER_07I just remember there was one time that I was at Pet Smart with it was just with my brothers and my mom. And so we went to go get stuff for our hamsters. Oh no, you killed the hamsters, the ones that died. And so when we walked, there was apparently this like really creepy dude that was like had been trying to like on my mom. So he came up to us and was like, hey, dude, this is what's gonna have to get cut. Do you want to pet my ferret? And we were all like, you know, that's that's gonna get cut.
SPEAKER_03I think it's fine.
SPEAKER_07Um sore. Yeah, but the thing is that he did actually have a ferret on him. It's just the way that he like the liver gun a little bit. Dumpiness. Sorry, let me sorry, let me take her from the top. He came up to our whole family, minus my dad, and said, Hey, do you want to pet my ferret?
SPEAKER_05And then say, yes. Petting a ferret?
SPEAKER_10No!
SPEAKER_07When she's this creepy guy, I'm imagining greasy hair and he didn't have the ferret out in front of him. He had his hands behind his back. He approaches it and hey, do you want to pet my ferret? No! We're assuming he doesn't have a ferret. I don't think anyone's understanding. Me and Ryan, who are kids, we're like, yeah, we're shooting. Yeah, the ferret! Then he pulls out a real ferret, and then we went to pet it, and my mom was like, Can't pet it! Like Aaron was like grabbing us, like, what are you doing? We're petting a show ferret. You're gonna get taken.
SPEAKER_02Gracie, how did you make it this far? No, no, no.
SPEAKER_08Remember, she's gonna outsmart them and go back inside. Tell us.
SPEAKER_05When I'm getting kidnapped, I just need to go. Can I go say bye real quick? Let me just go say bye of your back. I swear I'm coming back. I swear I'm coming back, I promise. I promise. They don't know it. They don't know it. Middle of the strike.
SPEAKER_07Do you want to need to do a second one or is that okay? No.
SPEAKER_01Kennedy.
SPEAKER_07I mean, hey, do the second one and we'll decide and then Kennedy will decide and then I like it.
SPEAKER_02I I don't think it's that bad.
SPEAKER_07This one's I don't know if it's as good, but when we were kids, we used to take just random objects onto the trampoline that we had in the backyard. Yes, yeah. And we would just like hit them at each other or like throw them around. Yeah. And I distinctly remember it was just back-to-back days over the summer, and my dad was ticked. He like could not stand us doing it anymore. The first day we had gone to like why not. And you know how you can get like dough to play with?
SPEAKER_11You bought the dough out.
SPEAKER_07They like, I guess Ryan kept his dough from the restaurant, and so we were like just chugging it at each other on the tripoline, and then he ran into like a snake and was like swinging it around like it was like a rope, and then it launched behind us to the neighbors over the fence. But this is the issue, is it always went over behind us in the neighborhood, and the neighbors behind us had a koi pond. So the dough like landed in the koi pond, and they were like eating it and got sick, apparently, right? So this happens, and actually might have been a couple days, and then a couple days pass, and then we decide what's an even better idea. Let's take our mom's yoga ball out onto the trampoline and hit it at each other. And there was one time, I don't know if I hit Ryan in the face or something, it hit somebody somewhere and it ricocheted off of them up and over the fish, the fence, and landed on the fish, and I think it killed. And like the humbling part is we had to go around the next street and ask for the ball back because they stopped throwing stuff over because we kept on doing it, and my dad was like, You kids! You've got a nothing on the trampoline but your body you Michael Scotted a koi a koi fish? Yeah, Michael Scotted. You've been Michael Scotted.
SPEAKER_08Yeah. Hey, anything is ten times more fun when you bring it on the trampoline. It's true.
SPEAKER_06Anybody ever brought a razor trider on the trampoline? Maybe a house non-negotiable with a trampoline. Or upon the trampoline ruin. Yeah. Cloud nine inside. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, Cloud Nine is inside.
SPEAKER_01Bro, shop. Inside her house.
SPEAKER_08Just let a woman just let a woman say stuff and stop crapping. Let a woman speak.
SPEAKER_10She gave me skin, it just gave me like the dirtiest look.
SPEAKER_06I was trying to think of a good bit. Okay, wait, have I told a snake story on here in my house yet?
SPEAKER_01Huh?
SPEAKER_06I think I have.
SPEAKER_01I think yes, but I think it's been long enough that you can go ahead. Well, I've told the bat story before. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I'll tell
Disney Spanking And Pufferfish Panic
SPEAKER_06the next one. I have another story about one time so I was at Disney World with my family, right? And we were at and we were at the oh it was like the Polynesian resort. So it was like very Hawaii and like that kind of so cool. It was sick.
SPEAKER_05And I was maybe like six or seven.
SPEAKER_06And then they're probably probably weren't five or six, actually, but anyway, a bit. It's not as anyway. So we were at like the pool, and at their pool they have like a volcano like water slide, and I was up and down, up and down that water slide. Just so excited. And my mom was like, hey Gracie, you need to stop, come eat your lunch. And I was like, no. And I kept going to the other slide. And I was like, no. And also a really good kid. So my mom was like, What? Like, why are you not listening? Like, I was always my older brother's not so much, but me. I was a good kid. And then and then she's like, Gracie, come on. And she like pulled me out of the pool, and I was like sitting there, not eating my sandwich and chips. And I was like, I don't want this. I want to go back and sweat. Like, I'm fine, like, I'm skinny, I don't need lunch.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_06Anyway. Um, but I was like, no, I'm not eating. And she's like, yes, you are, you're not gonna go back in. And I was like, fake. Like, what? And then I was so upset, and this is so out of character for me when I was a kid, I picked up a chip and I threw it at her. Not a chip. And had it teened. Bro, this made you different at Disney. I was like, dang! No, I uh And then my dad was like that's it, and pulled me back to the room and stanked me and at Disney! I got spanked at Disney. Anyway, but then I went back and I was like, I'm so sorry, Mom. I ate my sandwich, but I was like, Can I go back and play? She's like, wait ten minutes and then you can't. And I was like, yes, ma'am. Anyway, hey, that's the one only time I've been spanked because it worked. There you go.
SPEAKER_07Hey, it's because you were just listening to what's that song from Camp Rock that you loved as a kid?
SPEAKER_05Because I'm too cool! Don't talk it for the truth.
SPEAKER_07I'm too cool for you. What song sings every line of the chorus? Sings out the rest of the chorus.
SPEAKER_08Money changes you.
SPEAKER_06Money changes you. Disney one time. Disney. It's okay. I got right back into shape.
SPEAKER_07I'm so upset because that made me think of a better one. But I'm gonna save it for another episode. Anyway.
SPEAKER_01Okay. It was hard for me to think of ones I haven't already said, so this one is kind of more about Grey, but I was still there and it's still insane. But I asked him if I I got permission from him to say it because it is very funny. But anyway, we were at the Outer Banks. How old would you have been? Maybe 11 or 12. Anyway, regardless. Uh we're walking with friends and it's at nighttime, and we're going to go crab hunting. And as we're walking, Grey steps on a pufferfish. And uh so immediately his face turns white, and he's like, and little fact about Grey, he knows so much about animals and stuff. Like anything he says, it he's Google. Like he knows so he was like, Pufferfish are actually like deadly, like they're venomous, like poisonous. There's not much they can do. Like, we need to go home now. So we're all like, Are you for real? And he was for real. So we race back to the house and we like screaming, we open the door, like me and my friends, like, you have to help. Grey. And he explains it to our parents, and they're like, No, Grey, that's not true. And they look it up, and it is 100% that is the case. It is true.
SPEAKER_05Imagine the wasting time looking it up. No, yeah. Fact checking Gray. Don't you die?
SPEAKER_01Google, so Google says, Google says, Google says, you have like 10 to 15 minutes to get the done. Or you're your toast. And my mom's like, she looks up how far the hospital is away from 16 minutes. It's like 25 minutes. She's like, he's gone. She said, say goodbye. She said, there's nothing we could do even if we tried. And my dad's like, Darla, we should maybe try. She's like, no. She's like, Google says. He's like, on her. And so Grace like on the couch, just like, oh no. My mom's reading off the symptoms. She's like, it says like you'll get a headache. He's like, oh my head. She's like, this is gonna grow up. He's like, I'm gonna vomit. Like everything is just escalating so quickly. And my mom's like, go back to the beach and find this pufferfish. I need to see it like her arm. No, go find it. We, me, Brooks, and my two other friends race down back to the beach with our flashlights. It's like midnight at this point. It's so dark. We are racing to find this pufffish. We can't find it anywhere. We come back being like, dang, we didn't find it, and our brother's gonna be dead on the couch when we get home. And yeah, well, it was just anyway.
SPEAKER_05So my mom was watching Top Gun Maverick, and she continues my cellar shirtless.
SPEAKER_01So I'm actually like, so I race back up there and I'm like, oh my goodness, how is he doing? And my mom goes, like this. And for people that can't see me, she's like, what do you do? What do you call this? The cut the cutting throat thing. Which after we've repeated the story, my mom says, I meant stop talking about it, not he's going to die, but we took that as like he's gone.
SPEAKER_07So like if somebody ever told you somebody was gone, am I doing that in emotion? That's crazy. How is he doing?
SPEAKER_01And I'm also thinking in my head, like at the time, maybe it's up for debate now, but at the time, Gray was her favorite child, and I was like, dang, we're not even gonna take him to the hospital. Like, it was just insane.
SPEAKER_02Miles was on.
SPEAKER_01What would happen if it was Yeah, exactly? So it turns out, like, after further research, and he did not die within those 15 minutes, we were kind of like, hmm. It's like that is true, but all pufferfish are dead, like them, like their what would you say, right? Their venom, like, is deadly, but they don't live on our side of the coast. So, like, it wasn't actually a puffer fish. But but this is not tech, like all puffer fish are, but this is like a subcategory. What do you call it? It's it looks like a puffer fish and it acts like a puffer fish, but it's like something else. It looks like a tiger fish. A t something like that. No, not a tiger fish. Yeah, no, no, it did look like a puffer fish. I have a picture of it now, and it did look like one. But regardless, I just think that that is an insane story. And that's crazy.
SPEAKER_08Okay, did she ever go to the hospital?
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_11No, because once the foot, it's like whack.
SPEAKER_01One thing, one thing about my family is that we don't go to the hospital for anything ever. So it's fine. But she, yeah, she said I could tell that story because it doesn't make her look the best. But she said, I just didn't really think he was gonna die. But I'm like, I think you did. I think everyone kind of thought in that moment, but he survived, and then he watched Stranger Things for the first time after that. So and now he has gills, and he made it, guys.
SPEAKER_08And now when he gets white, he grows a mermaid tail. Good times.
SPEAKER_04Alright, Alicia. I already I I I went. So y'all should be honored because only like six people know this story. Like now the entire internet.
SPEAKER_02Now you've doubled that the entire internet's gonna know now.
SPEAKER_0480 people. The whole world. The whole world. This will be the episode that goes viral, right? Yes.
Teenage Street Racing Close Call
SPEAKER_04So me and one of my buddies were leaving. We were at church on a Wednesday night. And we were leaving, and you know, we were 16, probably, maybe even 17, I don't know. But 17 or 17. 17, yeah. And we had it was probably within a year of us having our license. We were, you know, young and stupid.
SPEAKER_08Young dog and broke.
SPEAKER_04We were driving back home and we lived like two minutes from each other. So as 16-year-olds would do when they have a car, you know, you race each other on the way home from wherever you're at. Yeah, there's a curve towards the exit that we get off where it's not blind, but you can't see, you know, more than probably 50 yards in front. So we were probably going like 110, 115, whatever, and we round this corner and there's a cop sitting in the shoulder. And so we're like, it was something straight out of Fast and Furious because we both looked at each other and we're like, we just gotta go. So we go even faster and we get off this exit, and there is a there's a Christian school right off the exit, and so we like just come to a sliding stop behind the school, turn the lights off, turn the cars off, and sit there, and the cop goes right past us, and so then we were like, we waited like five minutes, and then we're like, Okay, I think it's safe to go home. So we drove to his house, ran inside and didn't leave till the next morning because we were just I would literally poop my pants.
SPEAKER_08That's impressive. Yeah, I would poop my pants.
SPEAKER_02Times like that were really fun back in the day, but scary.
SPEAKER_08I would literally poop my pants.
SPEAKER_04So in the moment, terrified. One, because you know, I don't want to lose my license or car. I also didn't want my parents to kill me. I was more worried about my parents killing me. Oh, no, like always. Like always.
SPEAKER_03That's fair.
SPEAKER_04You were going how fast and there was what behind you? Yeah, that would have been a like you can't drive to your 30. Like that would have been one of those moments.
SPEAKER_08David, get in there, share one. But luckily, luckily they didn't see us so. I didn't have a racing story, David.
SPEAKER_04Maybe.
SPEAKER_00No, that would look like a lot of people.
SPEAKER_04Remember, it's only speeding if you get caught. Right.
SPEAKER_00Sure.
Lost At King’s Dominion
SPEAKER_00So my family every summer would take a big family trip, cousins and all, to King's Dominion. So this happened probably so anywhere between the summer after fourth grade to sixth grade. Don't know exactly when, because I had gotten my glasses, got my glasses in fourth grade. So King's Dominion has a water park attached to the amusement park as well. It's all built in, all in the same area. So we decide as a family this year. Because we never used to go to the water park. We just hit the amusement park, but this year we decided we're gonna go to the water park too. As a big happy family.
SPEAKER_08Yes.
SPEAKER_00So me and my mom, my cousin, my aunt, and I think my sister and my brother were there. But they were like, okay, we're gonna go find a place to sit. You two can go ride this water slide. So it was me and my cousin, okay. Take off our glasses, both of us are blind, hand them to our parents, we go ride the water slide. Come back down the water slide, and we're like, oh, we don't know where they are. They were gonna go find a place. They didn't tell us where they were going. So we go, we walk around. We can't find them. Well, you also cannot see them. We also can't see because we both have glasses and we're both blind as bats. So, in our bright minds, we think they left us and went into the amusement park again to go ride rides instead of staying in the water park. So, what do we do? We leave the water park in our swimsuits to go find them. With no glasses. In the amusement park. With no glasses. So we ended up not finding them.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00We ended up getting pulled by a security guard or a cop that was roaming around the amusement park because we are two girls in bathing suits just roaming the park.
SPEAKER_05And you're probably roaming up the people like. We did ride. Mom! Are you my mother? Are you my mother?
SPEAKER_07I'm sorry, you don't pass the height.
SPEAKER_00I'm just seeing you're my mom. Yes. No. We did end up riding one of the rides, the only ride that we could ride, which was the little boat ride that flipped all the way upside down. It was the only ride we could ride because we were in our swimsuits. And then because they couldn't find our parents, we ended up in the little house for lost children.
SPEAKER_11It's like you think you're talking to your cousin?
SPEAKER_02I was like, I can't believe it. I can't believe we're here, and it's just a random other kid.
SPEAKER_07It's a polygon man. How many kids were in there?
SPEAKER_00Like five, six? Yeah, there's there's a few in there. But yeah, so we were in the house for lost children in our swimsuits. We couldn't see foster children. The AC.
SPEAKER_03House thing.
SPEAKER_00The AC in this place was blasting, so we are freezing our butts off because we're just in our swimsuits. And then eventually our moms came and got us out of said lost house. They were very mad.
SPEAKER_08I love the part where you were so worried about finding your parents that you went and rode the Captain Chip.
SPEAKER_07Maybe we could see them from up here when the boats upside down. Yes. What if that makes us see that room? Oh no.
SPEAKER_08I wonder if anybody else remembers being in there like you did.
SPEAKER_07I think my cousin does.
SPEAKER_10There's just two blind girls talking to the wall.
SPEAKER_07I did my time at the cling. Clink! Yeah, I wasn't thinking King Summing Clink. The Katie Clink. The Katie Clink. No. All I can think of, I just saw it as like in Shrek, the Three Blind Mice. But then all I can think of, this is just so small. But the first time Mary Grace watched Shrek, like we watched it with her, and it was the funniest moment of my life where she was like, anytime they came on screen, she laughed. They weren't doing anything. They were in the background and she was dying off.
SPEAKER_09Because everyone in like the foreground is like being serious and having a conversation, and then you see the three blind mice in the background just like stumbling over each other.
SPEAKER_11They're like looking in complete opposite direction.
SPEAKER_09It's like no matter what is happening in the scene, they make it funny. We see it in her cousin.
SPEAKER_03God, that's a kid.
SPEAKER_02I never I was so paranoid about getting kidnapped because my mom was always like, she watched like the true crime and all that kind of stuff. To where she was like, We have a safe word. And if somebody comes up to you and they don't say the safe word, you don't go with them. So I like I remember like one time at Bush Gardens, I got a like a security guard came up to me. He's like, hey kid, you you know where your parents are? I said, Yeah. And uh well, why don't you come to me? I said, then what's my safe word?
SPEAKER_10And he didn't know it, and I walked away.
SPEAKER_07And he's like, fair enough. You got me.
SPEAKER_10What's the safe word? That's what I thought.
SPEAKER_07You see that name is his security?
SPEAKER_09No, you can't help me. As a matter of fact, I'm gonna go find them by myself.
SPEAKER_10And guess what? I did.
SPEAKER_08I did. Man, being a kid with glasses, that alone is my embarrassing story, isn't it? Brutal. Not being able to see ever. Yeah. That's good. I hated it. Next question.
Reality Show Cancellation Predictions
SPEAKER_08Second to last question. So if everyone here had a reality show, whose would get canceled first? I feel like what would your answer be?
SPEAKER_02I think it would be a tie between me, Tyree, and Gracie.
SPEAKER_07Who would get canceled first? I have Gracie down.
SPEAKER_11I couldn't choose a single one because I was like, me, but then also Tyree. But then also Gracie's a sleeper pick, you know? Like Sleeper, okay. Sleeper.
SPEAKER_07Harley.
SPEAKER_02You're a teacher, but then also it'd be like, what happens when you're not at school?
SPEAKER_03You're just a fool.
SPEAKER_02Especially when you're up in the clear. But what do you think?
SPEAKER_08Gracie's my pick.
SPEAKER_09I don't know. I feel like honestly, all of us, our contestants, are getting canceled. But who would be the most likely to get canceled? Um I don't know. I feel like it's a tie between maybe David and Morgan, maybe? I don't know. I don't know. My first thought was David, but I was like, I don't know, guys.
SPEAKER_02We see Morgan can save herself with her music career though. Makes one song with a ukulele. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_08And I'm not sings it. Oh my god. It's crazy for reality TV shows turned musical artists.
SPEAKER_09To be fair, I'm not thinking of y'all's regular lives. I'm only thinking of like the wild things that we say in here sometimes. So like that's true. That's that would lead to using cancel. I'm not thinking about like your regular lives. I'm thinking about like, you know, when we say crazy stuff here that has to get cut.
SPEAKER_08I so when David first said me, I was like, why the frick would you say that? But then I I unintentionally say the wildest things, I think. And I feel like I would be canceled. It's never intentional though. My words just don't come out the way I want to.
SPEAKER_02She doesn't mean to offend people. Just compassionate.
SPEAKER_08Don't come out the way that I want them to.
SPEAKER_07Um I was look, I was trying to think. I almost did this earlier because I had time like listing comparisons for what I think everyone's reality TV show would be like. And then I gave up on that. Because that's how I was trying to decide. The two I had down, so I had David down purely not because I mean he could say something that was like cancelable, like for him as like a show. Because again, we say really out of pocket stuff. But I also think like half of the time for the reality show, he's at the gym. Like that's fair. They're like, so what are you doing today? And you're like, nah. I mean, you can come with me. Um, and then my sneaker pick was actually Mary Gray's. So how the heck would she get cancelled? No, no, the show would get cancelled because she's too wholesome. Like, no drama would happen on the show. Nobody on TLC is watching that. She needs to be on Magnolia Network. Magnolia Network?
SPEAKER_09And that's an honor. I would love to be on Magnolia Network. She'd be like the Pioneer Woman or something like that. If I could be on the show with Joanna Gaines, hey, I would love to complain. Joanna Gaines.
SPEAKER_02Her superhero name would be Force Woman.
SPEAKER_06Force Woman.
SPEAKER_05Crazy.
SPEAKER_06I mean, with all due respect. I think we would get canceled together. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_07The crossover episode, and everyone shows.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's way that's what gets us canceled is our crossover. Okay. And I'm fine with that. Double elimination. I would be honored to be canceled with you. So it's perfect.
SPEAKER_02It's like a year later we see him on TikTok live, banging for sure. Alright, you guys want me to say the line from the TV show?
SPEAKER_11Drop a galaxy. Draw cameo.
SPEAKER_07Drop a road.
SPEAKER_05Stop you do cameos.
SPEAKER_07Guys, we should start a podcast cameo.
SPEAKER_10Our number one supporter would be like in our in the room with us. She would buy all of our cameos.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, something, yeah. Yes. I think probably David. Although I would also throw Caleb in there if we're not taking the original, you know, people. I think that you probably definitely would.
SPEAKER_08And if I'm a probably definitely first episode, Caleb's getting cancelled.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. I can't even describe what for it.
SPEAKER_08Every single, every single like normal logistical thought that a human being would have, Caleb has to go against it. That's just not true. And it's not because that's his opinion. He just wants to go against the players. I mean, he's a fan of the case. No, this makes sense.
SPEAKER_01Wow. Yes.
SPEAKER_08So BC David. Like, there's a rhythm. I think you'd be like a Joe Rogan, like Fear Factor type.
SPEAKER_10Oh no.
SPEAKER_08I think you would be good at the card. But then eventually Joe Rogan podcast. Definitely. Joe Rogan Pod.
SPEAKER_00Oh my turn? Yeah. Okay. I also would probably would say David. The second reason that Morgan did you're at the gym all the time. And I don't enjoy watching people work out. It's just not my thing.
SPEAKER_08David would probably film those like stupid like TikToks where like, check out this workout. And it's like pulling the cable between your butt cheeks.
SPEAKER_10You want the best hypertrophy training? Do this workout between the butt cheek bulls.
SPEAKER_08It's like, why do the cables always smell?
SPEAKER_04Spoiler alert, that's his first workout tomorrow. You just spoiled my workout routine. I wrote down myself because I honestly don't live like the interesting life like some of you might assume. I literally I go to work. But you're you. I come home, I take care of the kid, and then I go back to work. And then I go to church on Sundays.
SPEAKER_01No, not really. That's a lie. I don't think I can't.
SPEAKER_04The only time I'm interested is with when I'm like making fun of or chastising Tyree. That's literally and that's only once a week.
SPEAKER_08Oh my goodness. No, like you find ways to do it. That's why I don't look at your TikToks that you send me.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you have like 200 unopened TikToks that I sent you.
SPEAKER_08Half of them are from you and half of them are from David. Like, she would have said that. She would appreciate this.
SPEAKER_04Doesn't open my TikTok. That's a whole different thing.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no. Oh, it's like I'm kind of insulted, but I still keep going because I'm like, there's hope.
SPEAKER_07Eventually, one of them.
SPEAKER_04And then one day you'll get like 86 reactions. You're like, that day has not come. Stop blowing my phone up. It's about to vibrate off the table.
SPEAKER_07I get a little gaps be by my reels. You know? I get a little gatsby show.
SPEAKER_04But no, seriously, I or I would say something out of pocket.
SPEAKER_08Glossary.
SPEAKER_04Or get like arrested for criminal speed or something like that. You know. Criminal speed. I did that the other day, but we're not going to bother on it.
SPEAKER_08I think that's a good thing.
SPEAKER_04Remember, you don't if you don't get caught. It's not speeding.
SPEAKER_08No, I would I would definitely am changing my answer. Gracie is still up there, but I would say Caleb is up there too.
SPEAKER_02She's literally just saying that to hate.
SPEAKER_04Just specifically to hate.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_04She would not change her answer if I was not on the podcast today. It would still be Gracie.
SPEAKER_02Tyree almost always sticks to her guns.
SPEAKER_08Are we finished? Can a woman continue speaking?
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01Guys, I don't like it. Move on.
SPEAKER_08No, I was gonna say Caleb because of how much crap he talks about Taylor Swift. Everybody get him. You know what? Sick him. Sick him. We can't.
SPEAKER_04Okay, since you brought it up, Taylor Swift is like David. In my top five least favorite people on the planet.
SPEAKER_06See? Why? Because you're jealous, it's a woman who has influence.
SPEAKER_07And you are just But let me guess number one's Coach K because you want to joke to championship.
SPEAKER_04I said least favorite people.
SPEAKER_07I know I said I bet you number one favorite is Coach K.
SPEAKER_04My number one favorite person is my wife.
SPEAKER_07Alicia, walk out real quick.
SPEAKER_04It's actually Gideon. Actually, since you brought it up, I will have to defend myself. That was a mistake. I was forced when I was like, I don't know, nine or ten, probably, by my cousin to listen to her Christmas album on the way to Target. I specifically remember this because it was traumatic. And after like the third song, I wanted to jump out of the moving car. It was so bad.
SPEAKER_08Shut up.
SPEAKER_04Okay, you're saying that you average Taylor Swift listening experience.
SPEAKER_08You guys. I'm sorry. Literally not that bad.
SPEAKER_04I'm sorry. She just Gideon agrees. Very much. Yeah, see? That's how he feels about Taylor Swift.
SPEAKER_06It's just because the bottle's empty. Look.
SPEAKER_07The anti-colic stick is around. She's a smart businesswoman. Literally, I can't. We have to move on. We have to move on. We're gonna move on. We can't do this.
SPEAKER_02Alright, Tyree. Next question.
SPEAKER_08Final question. Last question.
SPEAKER_02I didn't realize it was gonna be this tense tonight. It's all my fault. And it is.
SPEAKER_08Last
Walk-Up Songs And Vibes
SPEAKER_08question. What would your walk-up song be? And because it had to be clarified, we're talking not the WWE. David asked MMA. Or would you ask MMA? Or WWE or WWE? Alicia was like We're talking about real sports. We're thinking MLB.
SPEAKER_04Mm-hmm. MMA is real sports. WWE is not. Okay.
SPEAKER_08Have you guys not seen Here Comes the Boom?
SPEAKER_02Classic. Well, like MMA was the first one I thought of, and I was like, wait, he I feel like Caleb's cool enough to think of like WWE, maybe.
SPEAKER_00Baseball.
SPEAKER_08Baseball. Talking baseball. But for MMA, I would do Oh, but we're still answering MMA. No, because it needed to be mentioned. I would do something by either Flo Millie or Gucci Flip Flops.
SPEAKER_07I think that should be your answer. Yes. Gucci Flip Flops.
SPEAKER_08Gucci Flip Flops. No, but I said for MLB, probably. I don't know, probably something country. I feel like. Forever and ever. I always think of that song when I think about baseball. I don't know. It's America. It has nothing to do with baseball. America. It's America.
SPEAKER_07She's gonna love baseball forever and ever.
SPEAKER_08And ever and ever.
SPEAKER_07I'm so excited to see what Mary Chris is gonna say. I think we know what Mary Chris is gonna say.
SPEAKER_09I don't know. Okay. For my Christian pick, I would do There's the there's the whole song. It's a very song literally haunts me.
SPEAKER_05Oh my gosh, that song.
SPEAKER_09I don't think anyone will know it. It's Die Daily by Aaron, and I have to, yeah, I even have to. Look them up. But Eric and Aaron or something like that. And then is this your Christian song for MMA? No, this is all baseball. All baseball. Then a crazy contrast. I have two others. Let me see. Thunderstruck. And Real Gone.
SPEAKER_07Wait, that is that is an American song.
SPEAKER_08It's a counter.
SPEAKER_07I'm gonna be really self-aware. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08No, I changed my answer to Seven Summers by Morgan Wallen. Because that is my most played song ever. That song just reminds me of Summer.
SPEAKER_09What were you guys expecting? Just curious. Mo Bamba.
SPEAKER_04Literally had that written down. Mo Bamba, just kidding. My actual answer.
SPEAKER_07That is funny. I got Oh my gosh. Okay. I had a couple of answers. Just now I was thinking Kissing Through the Phone would be good song. I had that one on my list. That's yeah, one of them. I also had. I also had You Shook Me All Night Long by ACDC. That is a guilty pleasure song. And then similarly, completely different genre, Mirrors Justin Timberlake.
SPEAKER_06I love that. That's a good one. Very you. Um, I have a few as well. My first one is Lose Control by Missy Elliott. Of course. That one gets me absolutely turned. Well, Waterfalls by TLC. Okay, sorry. No, you're absolutely sorry for singing. I'm gonna have one more, but I'm forgetting where it is. So you want me to say the one you just pointed out to me, or is that a different one? Nope. Nope.
SPEAKER_01Anyway, and that is it. Very nice. I only thought of one. I would do a million bucks by May No. I love I think it's just that would be my welcome song.
SPEAKER_02For MMA, Daddy's Home by Usher.
SPEAKER_04And he's cancelled. There he goes.
SPEAKER_07He's saying that he's knocked out immediately. One punch on the ground. There we go.
SPEAKER_02And then Drunken Love for uh for baseball.
SPEAKER_00Nice. I have a couple. The first one would probably be Irreplaceable.
SPEAKER_07Go ahead.
SPEAKER_00And then For Galicious. That's a good one.
SPEAKER_04I did legitimately write down Mo Bamba just uh just for Merry Grace. But then my actual one would be Come and Get Your Love by Redbone. Oh, that's a good one. Only because of the first Guardians of the Galaxy. Classic.
SPEAKER_10That's a good one.
SPEAKER_04I'm so sorry I was not on the Marvel episode. I have so many thoughts. We'll just have to go to lunch and talk about them. It's fine.
SPEAKER_11What's your take on She-Hulk?
SPEAKER_07Oh.
SPEAKER_10Do you think She-Hulk and Hulk should be in a relationship?
SPEAKER_07That's for the Patreon exclusive. We can't. He's shaking his head yes.
SPEAKER_04No, he's not.
SPEAKER_07He's laughing right now. You just can't hear it on him.
SPEAKER_04It was incredibly entertaining to hear Gracie talk about all the things. Be wrong. Yeah, it was. I did not say that used to be. My takes were good. The cousin thing's weird, but like other than that, I will say the other takes weren't bad.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's right. There you go.
SPEAKER_04Oh boy.
SPEAKER_08How
Wrap-Up And How To Support
SPEAKER_08do you guys feel first time on the pod? It was fun. Very entertaining.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_08I will say Alicia has been a faithful listener since day one. She has.
SPEAKER_02She's always our top commentator.
SPEAKER_08She is. Thank you. She watches everything. She even found a way to text us and send us like fan mail from Spotify.
SPEAKER_05What? Wait, send us fan mail, y'all. Send us fan mail. Hey! But you have to figure it out because I don't know how to explain. We should get a PLO. Just look at your like a little bit of a game.
SPEAKER_04So you can go to the post office?
SPEAKER_08And Caleb only just started listening. He got over his, you know, his haterism and he did start listening.
SPEAKER_04I would like to say I started listening like the third week.
SPEAKER_01That is not true.
SPEAKER_04That is absolutely true.
SPEAKER_01No, I feel like I'm not sure. I just remember the first two weeks you gave us so much hate. You're like, I'll never listen to you. I did. I did. I did. I loved you. I truly did.
SPEAKER_04I truly did. Let me see if we were showing us.
SPEAKER_06How you thought about us is how you think about Taylor Swift right now. So in three weeks, you're gonna be a fan.
SPEAKER_04Let me guarantee you something.
SPEAKER_06Wishing you are there as well.
SPEAKER_02If you're a fan of Taylor Swift in three weeks, can I shoot you?
SPEAKER_03Absolutely. No, no.
SPEAKER_08The thing is, I've never talked about Taylor Swift more with anybody other than Caleb. Yeah, I'm gonna bring you away. He's the secret closeted Taylor Swift fan.
SPEAKER_07Alright, guys, thank you so much for listening to another episode of Just Us Talking. We hope you liked it. Uh stay tuned for next week for us to say things that will probably would have gotten us canceled if we were on TLC about 10 years ago. Oh no, right now, sorry. We wouldn't have been canceled then, we'd be canceled now. Yeah, we'd be canceled now.
SPEAKER_08It's like everything's legal in early 2000s.
SPEAKER_07There you go, there you go. Um make sure to follow us on all of our socials at Justice Talking or Yappers Unite and subscribe to the pod, like it, review us. Yeah, send us fan mail. Yeah, send us fan mail from where you're from.
