Avengers Assemble! Captain America’s Endgame choice. Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. Wanda’s character whiplash. The MCU gives us some of our best theater memories, but it also gives us plenty to argue about, and we do exactly that with our guest Caroline, who shows up with both ball knowledge and the willingness to stir the pot.
We kick things off by ranking favorites across Marvel: heroes, villains, and the movies that still hit hardest, especially when you factor in nostalgia and that “saw it opening night” feeling. From Iron Man’s character arc to Spider-Man’s different eras, we talk about what makes a Marvel story great.
Then we get into the real debates: who is the greatest Avenger, and what does “greatest” even mean? We build cases for Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and even Hawkeye, and we don’t dodge the messy stuff like time travel logic, the Blip’s real-world consequences, and whether Marvel has been making desperate moves to win fans back. If you love Marvel hot takes, Avenger storyline debates, Spider-Man arguments, and MCU breakdowns, you’ll feel right at home.
Listen, pick a side, and then help us settle it: which MCU take do you defend no matter what? If you enjoyed this, subscribe, share with a friend who loves Marvel arguments, and leave us a review.
Welcome And No Spider-Man Spoilers
SPEAKER_12Welcome back to Just Us Talking. Today we are talking about all things Marvel in spirit of the newest Spider-Man coming out. However, disclaimer, we will not be talking about the newest Spider-Man, so we do not have any spoilers. So do not worry. We also have a guest on this pod, Miss Caroline. Well, I don't see last names. Miss Caroline!
SPEAKER_13I just want to say thank you guys for having me. Yes. Longtime listener, first time guest, big time hater. She's my girl for real.
SPEAKER_12She got married. I hate it, but anyway.
Caroline’s Embarrassing Concert Story
SPEAKER_12Anyway, well, I'm Gracie. And for my question for Caroline is what is your most embarrassing story? Oh my gosh, we're getting right into it.
SPEAKER_13Most embarrassing story? I would probably say I think I was about 12, and this is why it was embarrassing, because at my grown age. Long story short, I peed myself on the way to a Selena Gomez concert. So I used to live up in the northeast, and where I was traveling, I was going across a bridge, and I had to be really bad. I have like the tiniest bladder, like as small as like a little pee. It's crazy. And I was traveling across this major bridge and major traffic. And so I was like, Dad, I need to go to the bathroom. And I was always scared to ask him. And this was like the worst. He starts getting mad at me because he's like mid-traffic. We just passed this like a stop we could go at.
SPEAKER_12Yeah, we're going to sit in a gome's coffee.
SPEAKER_13He's going to get up there. And I was like, Dad, I have to go. And he was like, We can go. And I started getting panicked. I'm like, no, I have to go in my pee and my pants. He's like, Don't pee your pants. Don't be your pants. And then my mom started screaming at me. So I start panicking. So I pee in the back of his Honda Civic. Or my mom's Honda Civic. And my best friend was next to me. Luckily, she was like two seats over, but and my mom is a just in case mom. So fortunately, I was able to have like a change of clothes. She had a towel and I sat on like the middle seat. So it was all good, but I haven't told a lot of people that. So it's probably. And now it's out there. Yeah, and now it's out there. So that's probably now why. Yes, and I did have a great time. It was like the come and get it. Or what comes around goes around. It's like, yes. You know what I'm talking about? Yes. I'm ready, ready, come and get it. No, no, no, no. That one. Oh, okay. Yes. That's why that's the era. So I was, like I said, I think I was probably 12 around that time. So it was not justifiable. Like I was not an infant. I was not two. It's like fifth grade. Yeah. Almost in middle school. So you good. Sorry, you guys.
SPEAKER_11Thank you for sharing.
Rapid-Fire Questions With Caroline
SPEAKER_01My name is Kennedy. My question for Caroline is what is your biggest red flag that you see in other people? Oh.
SPEAKER_13Other people? I would say like I'm kind of stuck between two, either people who are inconsiderate, like just are not aware of the surroundings, or don't really put other people like or understand how their actions affect other people. And then that's also paired with people who make everyone's or make their issue everyone else's issue. And like won't let it go. I'm like, hey, just put the fries in the bag. Like it's really not that bad.
SPEAKER_12Also, Caroline is the queen of like analogies. She has so many little sayings.
SPEAKER_13I love them.
SPEAKER_12Just wait. And there's no reference point.
SPEAKER_13Like it just home, so like you know, it makes sense. It checks out. So yeah. Nice.
SPEAKER_06Well, oh, dude, sorry, I was totally zoned out. Hi, I'm David, and my question is what is the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?
SPEAKER_13Oh, definitely um, what's that called? I think sardines. Like a like a straight can of sardines. I was at like summer camp and they were doing like a challenge or something, and you had to eat like a straight, like as fast as you could. So I ate an entire can of like sardines. Did you win? Yeah, of course. Okay, good. That's happy teacher right there. Don't sose me, bro.
SPEAKER_03Hi, I'm Morgan, and my question for Caroline what are your top three Desert Island movies? Gosh, dude. Ramify a rabbit hole.
SPEAKER_13Okay, this is gonna be so weird about me. Like, I don't have a favorite movie because I just enjoy movies I haven't seen before or I don't remember the plot. I like being engaged and I don't like watching the same thing. But if off the top of the dome, anything marvel, so I'm just gonna pick one. I'm gonna pick probably endgame, and then I'm gonna pick. Ooh, ooh, ooh. What's that called? Working at the car wash. What's that one? Sarktails! Um, Sarktails, and then probably white chicks. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that is actually fit right into it scene.
SPEAKER_12Do we have a new intern?
SPEAKER_05Let's get a little crowded in here, guys. She's getting paid. This is actually calling door.
SPEAKER_13This is not it's not permanent. Whoever is your office. Whoever is better, it's just like not. It's like you ever seen dancing dance moms? Yeah. I'm Kenzie. I'm coming for your spot. I don't get the Jojo? No, who's the one at the top? Natty. Natty, thank you. Yeah, Maddie. I'm Maddie. And you're Kenzie or Jojo Siwa. You can pick. I'll let you pick.
SPEAKER_09You gotta do that.
SPEAKER_13Okay, well, you can introduce yourself. Oh, yes. Hi, I'm Caroline. Uh yeah. I guess you're oh my question for me. Um I don't know. How much do I love being here? A lot.
SPEAKER_04My name is Tyree, and what is the random, the most random item that you might have in your purse or work bag?
SPEAKER_13Who probably I guess maybe deodorant. I don't know. Like, I have a lot of sticks of deodorant. I just don't like to smell bad. So I like I have a stick of deodorant like ready to go wherever. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06That's a good thing to be prepared for.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, for sure. I'm Mary Grace, and what is your most favorite job that you've ever had?
SPEAKER_13Oh, uh my most favorite job is my current job, but if I had to pick a different job, I worked at Chick-fil-A for seven years, and I really liked it. It was funny. There was like some highs and there were some lows, but I think overall it was a really good experience, and I have a lot of good things to say about Chick-fil-A, so I'm gonna say Chick-fil-A. And what's your current job? My current job? I'm a teacher, just like my Gracie girl. Yay! Education.
SPEAKER_04Love it.
SPEAKER_08Education.
SPEAKER_04Education.
SPEAKER_08Alright, my name is Lawrence, and my question for Caroline is of the Harry Potter movies or books, which is your favorite?
SPEAKER_13There's a right answer.
SPEAKER_08There is.
SPEAKER_13I really enjoyed. So I really enjoyed the goblet of fire. Like I think for what number is that? That's number four. That's number four. And the reason why is because I know like it, I mean, I don't know if y'all have seen it or read it. Honestly, it's too late. It's like been wet out for like 20, 95 years, 30 years. So sorry spoiling. But after that point, that's when it starts to become real world and it's no longer just Hogwarts. And I really love the idea of Hogwarts and like going to that place, and it's almost like a fantasy, it's a getaway. And then from there, reality kind of opens up, you know, it becomes like a Voldemort battle. So I like that one because there was a lot of good like storytelling in there. They missed it. Well, I actually low-key hate the movie because they missed like a third of the plot. With the Rita Skeeter. Correct. Uh yeah. So that is like my favorite book, but I don't think it was adapted as well as I'd hoped. Is that the one with the maze?
SPEAKER_09Yes.
SPEAKER_12Yes. Okay, I just want to make sure there's My boy!
SPEAKER_09Sorry.
Why Marvel Feels Back Again
SPEAKER_04Start us off.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. Alright, we're talking about Marvel. All things Marvel. We're excited. You know, Doomsday's coming out this year. The Spider-Man movie came out. You know, it feels like our year. Are we coming back or what? I think we are. We are so bad. I think we are so bad. So bad. So bad.
SPEAKER_09So bad. So bad.
SPEAKER_01So in honor of that, we're just gonna be talking about only Marvel and yap about that. If there are movies you haven't seen, we're gonna be talking about it. So skip it. Spoiler alert. Skip it then.
SPEAKER_04And I guarantee you have a piss everybody off. So it's gonna be real bad.
SPEAKER_06Do you actually believe it, or are you just doing it to try to piss everybody off?
SPEAKER_04Uh we'll see.
SPEAKER_01We'll see. Anyway, I feel like we've all touched on Marvel before.
Favorite Heroes Villains And Movies
SPEAKER_01It's been brought up. We've had many episodes. We're just gonna do a quick overview of like our favorite of, you know, favorite movie, favorite character, favorite villain, just to get a gist of like where we're all coming from as far as that. Me, my favorite superhero is Iron Man. I love him. I love him very much. My favorite villain is Loki, although I get he's like kind of an anti-hero now, whatever. But like him in the original Avengers movie, like peak. I love him. That's good. And then honestly, I think my favorite movie might now be the original Avengers, just because I think we're so far from that when I watch that. Just the nostalgia and all the characters. But before that, I did like the very first Iron Man was my favorite. David.
SPEAKER_06Okay, so my favorite hero, I'm probably gonna get called basic Spider-Man. Ever since I was a young lad. Yeah. Okay, okay, but it's hard because like the new movie was so fantastic, but I have such a soft spot for Toby. But I also love Andrew's movies. I don't know if I can pick, I think they're all equally great in so many different ways. Which I could get into it.
SPEAKER_09It's giving participation award.
SPEAKER_05I'll get into it later.
SPEAKER_02We'll talk about it. I have a pretty soon. Go ahead and shut that down.
SPEAKER_06Uh favorite villain has to be Ultron.
SPEAKER_09Oh, like I loved him in the second movie.
SPEAKER_06He was so like I'm kinda I'm so happy. I don't know if you guys have seen the trailer for it. He's coming back in the Vision Quest show. That makes sense. I'm so excited for that because he is such a good cast, such a good villain. Like, they wasted him.
SPEAKER_04Marvel on my mom, if this isn't as good as WandaVision, I'm suing somebody.
SPEAKER_06WandaVision was so good. We're not getting in that. We can't get into it. We can't get into it.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You're so good.
SPEAKER_05I know, I know. I can lock him.
SPEAKER_06I can lock in. Then favorite movie. If we're counting outside of MCU, it's Toby's second movie. I love that one. It is probably forever my favorite. But if we're talking about MCU only, I'm not gonna lie, it might be Iron Man 2. I love Iron Man 2. Like that one, I can go and re-watch. That one have so much fun just watching it. I really like that one.
SPEAKER_04Um, for those who don't know numbers, what happens in that one?
SPEAKER_06That's when Iron Man, that's when Rhodie becomes warm machine. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. And then there's like Hammer, uh Justin Hammer and all that kind of stuff.
SPEAKER_14Uh I see that every time.
SPEAKER_08Is that the guy with the bird? The bird they killed the bird for no reason. Bird?
SPEAKER_14The guy with the bird?
SPEAKER_08Oh, yeah, yeah. The guy with the bird. Uh whiplash.
SPEAKER_06Was that his name? Whiplash, yeah, yeah. That's a that's a movie as well. I think it was Whiplash.
SPEAKER_03Not my temple.
SPEAKER_06He was a good villain. I loved his design. But we'll continue on more.
SPEAKER_03Great, like that one. Um, my favorite superhero has to be Spider-Man, just a classic. Uh yeah. I missed it. That's my fault. That shot's my fault. My favorite villain, I also said Loki. I also said technically you could probably count Winter Soldier in Captain America Winter Soldier. And if that counts, I feel like that might edge it out because Loki's now like the anti-hero. So I'm like, and I honestly like him better in the show than in the movies, I would say. So I feel like maybe Winter Soldier counts for that. And then just out of MCU movies, probably Age of Ultron. I love that movie so much. So good.
SPEAKER_09That's a good take.
SPEAKER_03And then No Way Home gave it like it was very close for me. Because No Way Home looks specifically in the theater. Yes. That's the thing. I think that's what makes it so close for me. Like, I love that movie. And as an Andrew Garfield girly, ooh. Oh my god. I cried. I'm not afraid to die.
SPEAKER_04Hey, hey, whoever keeps circling those edits around, it's me that cut it out.
SPEAKER_05It's the interview movie.
SPEAKER_04It's meaningful chat.
SPEAKER_13Listen, I'm reposting them. I don't care. Oh, so you're the reason why Gracie kept getting them when we were watching it. It was so hard. We watched it with the four of us. We were watching it with Gracie and she'd never seen them before. And she's like, I keep getting these edits with Andrew. I'm like, don't watch them, don't watch them. And I don't know how, but she didn't get spoiled so when we got to that spoiler. She was like, no, and was like looking at me, and I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_03Can I just say she called me after y'all finished watching that and she was like, How in our six years of friendship did you never tell me in your favorite Spider-Man movie, this is how it ends? Like, are you kidding me? And I was like, it's so good though.
SPEAKER_12Also, like, I usually spoil the endings for myself on purpose. I was so proud of you. I guess you couldn't know. No, because thank goodness. It's my favorite. Like, why would I think it would end poorly? I have so much confidence. You know me? My favorite movie's La La Land.
SPEAKER_05Which we saw in theaters just this last weekend.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, yeah, I will.
SPEAKER_13Alright, so favorite hero. Okay, Wanda Maximoff, and you guys are gonna find out very quickly. I'm like Wanda Maximoff, like she is my queen, like she's gonna be a lot of my answers. So her, she's my fave. I just like Loki and Ultron. I really just like like you saying, the actor was so good. Like really gone before before his time. And so gone too soon. Gone too soon. No, but I haven't seen that. The video for Vision Quest, so I'm really excited that you say that. I'm actually gonna watch it when I go home tonight. So that makes me very happy. So I think those two. Plus, my brother's dog's name is Loki, so it's always been a special place in my heart. Yeah. Loki. Oh wait, sorry, my favorite movie is Endgame. Theaters, sorry. No, Endgame in Theaters. Yeah, that was it.
SPEAKER_06That was I remember how I felt Infinity War and Endgame in Theaters.
SPEAKER_13On your left.
SPEAKER_06So the feeling of leaving Infinity War. I saw it the day before it came out, too. The Great Down. I was like, I came out of that theater.
SPEAKER_04Like I don't think I felt the same since. No. Honestly, life hasn't been the same since. Oh like that's not how I've been reaching.
unknownIt's crazy.
SPEAKER_04There is, yes, it's real. My favorite hero is Captain America. He's so 4th of July. He's so propping in American. I love it. Favorite villain. Do love Ultron. I do have to say James Franco in the Spider-Man. Favorite, one of my favorites. I said in-game, in theaters specifically, was my favorite movie. Or WandaVision, TV show. I love WandaVision.
SPEAKER_10Yeah. I'm done. Okay. Nice. So I feel like a lot of my answers, I am gonna try my best. Because my Marvel knowledge is not very extensive, but I do really like a lot of the movies. So if I say something incorrect, you can just let me know. We will. It's okay. I'll look accurate. I feel like my favorite superheroes and favorite movies kind of go together. I think I like them because I liked the movies, and it's Black Widow and Spider-Man because I really liked the Black Widow movie. And then the newest Spider-Man movie I really liked. So I think because of their movies and their characters, how they were portrayed, I don't know. I think I like those. But to be honest, guys, I couldn't think of a villain. So you can pick one for me.
SPEAKER_04Jamie Fox.
SPEAKER_14Jamie Fox Electro.
SPEAKER_06Specifically No Way Home.
SPEAKER_08Yes. Alright, my favorite hero would be Shang-Chi. Good. Only because it's Asian. I saw that movie. I was like, yep, these are my people. But I think for the nostalgia factor, I think.
SPEAKER_04Aqua Fina carry. That's a hot take.
SPEAKER_08I cannot stand Aqua Fina.
SPEAKER_11That's not a hot take.
SPEAKER_13But when we watch Little Mermaid, you Scuttlebutt.
SPEAKER_11Scuttlebutt.
SPEAKER_13You love that song. So you have to give her credit where credit is due. I love her. Wait.
SPEAKER_12You don't like her?
SPEAKER_08Anyways, uh nostalgia factor, I think, not I think. I love Wolverine. Just the fact that he's been a staple superhero since I was like a kid.
SPEAKER_13He's been the longest running superhero.
SPEAKER_08I think him or Blade.
SPEAKER_13No, he he takes it after him. What was it? Dead Deadpool and Wolverine? After that movie aired, he was now took the throne of the longest air like standing.
SPEAKER_06Wasn't it technically a Blade, right? It was Well Blade wasn't canon until the Deadpool and Wolverine movie either. Oh true.
SPEAKER_13But I think it might be Blade, but de but Hugh Jackman was like it was like 20 plus years.
SPEAKER_06If you go by release date, it would technically be Iron Man. Before the multi stuff. Because he was the first movie to come out. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Anyways. But I think my simple answer, I I love Captain America. I think just his the fact that he like to his core was not a hero. He was a scrawny dude. Yeah, he had the hero mentality. I think he stayed consistently, well, for the most part, consistently good, even after giving the super soo.
SPEAKER_04Okay, it's okay. Oh crapping on my man.
SPEAKER_08Um I just I've I used to love, I used to be like way, way Team Iron Man. I think I've over the years become more team Captain America. How'd you ever be Team Iron Man other than Spider-Man? That's fair. Hey. Oh, sorry, I got more. I'm yapping. Should not care. I think favorite villains, I think there's I think MCU is loaded with like solid, solid villains. But I was thinking kind of niche. I think Zemo is one of the most justified villains ever. Like his crash out was like.
SPEAKER_04However, I hated the way that they portrayed sorry. No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_08No, no, no.
SPEAKER_04This might be a hot take, though, so maybe I'll pocket it.
SPEAKER_08No, no, I'll hear it. I w I won't hear it.
SPEAKER_04I think I don't like the way that they portrayed him in Winter Soldier. Sure, fair Falcon.
SPEAKER_08Fair.
SPEAKER_04They made him not.
SPEAKER_08That's not a bad take. Not a bat take. I agree with that. Not a bad take. But I think his his his villain story is so justified. Yeah, he didn't really like I don't know. I think he's justified. He still killed Black Panther's dad. Technically, he didn't do it, but like I think he's a justified villain.
SPEAKER_12Yeah. Alright. It's favorite, least favorite, and favorite movie? Or favorite villain.
SPEAKER_06Favorite hero, favorite villain, favorite movie.
SPEAKER_12My favorite hero? She-Hulk.
SPEAKER_11You missed the question.
SPEAKER_12It's not hot takes yet. My least.
SPEAKER_08Did you watch the show?
SPEAKER_12My category.
SPEAKER_13Larve! Megan the Stallion isn't a scene with her in that show. And that's why she's my favorite. Girl, get out of here.
SPEAKER_06She does twerk in every room.
SPEAKER_12And uh my favorite villain is the lizard from Spider-Man. Oh, that's actually a really good one. Pretty good thing. She's trying to make a stuff for Connor. Kind of a justified villain.
SPEAKER_03A little bit. No, well, it wasn't his mind. He didn't choose to do it. Like, it made his mind crazy. Never mind, we'll get into it. Sorry.
SPEAKER_12And then, exactly, just won his arm back. That's all I wanted. And then my favorite movie is The Fantastic Four First Steps. That's it? Okay. Pretty good movie.
SPEAKER_03I still haven't seen that one, but yeah. I know. What? Wait, wait.
SPEAKER_04Hey, guess what? Is that the one with Pedro Bass now?
SPEAKER_12Yes. Okay. Insane. I haven't seen Endgame. So What? Can I answer for you?
SPEAKER_00Hey.
SPEAKER_03What I feel like he's done. The reason Gracie has not seen Endgame is because she's an Iron Man girly and she had it spoiled for her. And so she refuses to watch it because she doesn't want to see spoiler alert Iron Man die.
SPEAKER_12He's still alive in my heart. Yeah. So if she dies, he's not dead. You can still believe that even though.
SPEAKER_05She might like the new movie because he's gonna technically be back in the movie.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, his face is gonna be there.
SPEAKER_12Yeah. He's Dr. Doom, isn't he? Yeah. Well, Robert Arning Jr. is. Iron Man's not, okay? Robert Jr. Anyway, next question.
Who Is The Greatest Avenger
SPEAKER_01Okay, our next question is Who is the greatest Avenger of all time? Okay, Kenas. All right. I think we know your answer. You know what my answer's gonna be. This isn't Not really the debate part of the podcast, but so let's just all save it and go through. Answer correctly.
SPEAKER_13Get David's muscle on the right. One person, or not one person, one word or like one statement and then move on, or do we have nation? I feel like you should explain it a little bit, yes.
SPEAKER_03But people we'll argue it after when we get to the we'll do bubbles and mouths while everyone says their take. Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Alright. So mine is Iron Man. I think that he's the greatest Avenger. I think for reasons of he's just a guy, similar to what Lawrence was saying with Captain America, like he doesn't actually have powers, right? Like he used his mind and like his abilities and his money to like get where he is. And like he is very smart. I think he learns from his mistakes, unlike a lot of characters. Like every defeat, everything he's he does, he like he corrects. I think that his character arc is just like the greatest from what he started out to how he ended, like it's just unmatched. He's also freaking the one who figured out how to bring everyone back. And that has to be worth something, right? You know what I'm saying? Like you actually, you know, guys, stop. You guys, I mean, he just yeah, he brought everyone back. And I think that his the character himself, like, I just love him. Like, I think he's hilarious. I love, I feel like he wins every comeback if there's a fight. Like, I'm just like, yeah, he won that. Like, he's just great. I yeah. So she's talking.
SPEAKER_06It's hard. I don't know. Because Iron Man, well, Iron Man, just because of his journey and then sacrifice in the like I don't know if you guys remember in the first Avengers movie, Captain America does say he's like, You're not the kind of guy to make the sacrifice play. And then time and time again. Every single time, yeah. Every single time. Every Avengers movie he does it. Every single one.
SPEAKER_01Wow, this is great.
SPEAKER_06I do want to say it might be tied with Cap, but after Kennedy's take from last week, it does kind of I kind of do agree with her after you know her take. Yeah, I was like, because like I do, I don't think it's the worst thing for Cap's character to go back in time. But it does, it does knock him down a notch. So I might have to agree with Kennedy for once.
SPEAKER_14Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_11Oh my gosh, mark the time. Slip that. You know what? I take it back. No, no.
SPEAKER_05It's Ant-Man. It's Ant-Man.
SPEAKER_14PBK. It's gonna be. Oh my gosh, don't give me started on that. Breathe. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Um, I also think, I do agree, Iron Man probably, I think objectively is just his like storyline so complete. I will say though, I think underrated pick is Thor, purely because like the whole basis of the Avengers, they're formed over like Phil Colson dying as like the thing that like puts him together. And every single movie that he's in, Thor has some like immeasurable loss that he then goes and like rallies everybody to go like avenge for. So I think in like the literal definition, I'm kind of like low-key, Thor might be low-minded. Low key. Thor might be my pick. Okay, because now he's like become the leader, and like I think you see that more in Doomsday soon, probably too. But like even his like growth over he was a child in the beginning of Endgame. I'll give you that for a good reason. Okay, but he was very down bad, you know what I mean? In Amsterdam, yeah. So hey, there's not a lot of ways to win there.
SPEAKER_02Sorry to anybody listening in Amsterdam. Very marvelous.
SPEAKER_03But no, I think that he has like a good character growth. I think it's you know, I think Iron Man probably is more complete and more compelling, but also we haven't seen the end of his storyline yet. So I think he has the potential to be at the same level. Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_13I wasn't exactly sure what you guys like defined Avengers as. And so I did two answers. I was like, technically, Wanda Maximoff is an Avenger, like comic books, but like when you're thinking original six, like the original Avengers.
SPEAKER_08Well, Hawkeye kind of was a hey, you're Avenger now.
SPEAKER_13Huh?
SPEAKER_08Hawkeye was a hey, you're an Avenger now.
SPEAKER_13Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, like he's technically she's technically an Avenger, like an add-on, you know, that that kind of group. But if I had to pick one of the original six, I said Captain America. I just really think that like he is just like a stand-up guy. And I think the biggest re reason why I picked him, I was actually gonna think Thor, because like of powers in general, but I was like, wait, Captain America also yielded his Mjolnir. So I was like, that is a that is like regardless of the character thing, I was like, bro, still picked up. What'd you say?
SPEAKER_08I was singing a song.
SPEAKER_03You singing Chris Thomas, regardless of the take.
SPEAKER_13Yeah, regardless of the take of like the morals and stuff, and like you think it's a good guy, whatnot, like he still was able to wield a weapon that no one else did except for a god. Yes, and he was a human, so that's why I think he's the greatest Avenger.
SPEAKER_04I was torn. I definitely agree with you, Kennedy, on Iron Man and also like his character development. And I think like two like for speaking, like not Avengers that don't have powers, like he is just a regular guy and he's just super smart, and he was able to create so much technology. I would have to side with my man Captain America. That's my man. That's my man. Captain America, no, like I like his heart, like he's just the guy from you know New York. And I think he is a stand-up guy, and he's an American.
SPEAKER_03Amen. He's a captain. And I'm proud to be an American.
SPEAKER_04Sorry, I think like he kind of goes into like, you know, because he can potentially does have powers, you know, since he was able to pick up Millennius, sir. Um anyways, yeah. I like his character, so I wish. Anyways, we'll get a dude later.
SPEAKER_10I have to agree with Kennedy. Sorry.
SPEAKER_04All right, I have to move out. Hi, Gracie Logan.
SPEAKER_10Just because like, even with the little Marvel knowledge I do have, I'd I'd from all the movies that I've seen, it kind of just seemed to me that like he Iron Man is like a leader and that he does help out other yeah, like he helps out other Avengers and other, you know, superheroes. So and it is really cool what he can do just with his mind, like without any superpowers. So that's that's my take. Nice.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, I I can agree with all those points, but then when I thought of Greatest Avenger, I wasn't thinking like the strongest or the best or like my favorite, but I was thinking of just like just greatest. I don't know why I thought of Hawkeye. Hear me out. Dude is like a normal dude, like he has no special powers, and he has a family and kids. But the fact that he was like, hey, I want to like will. No, no, no, no. No, no, no, no. He came back every single time. They were blipped. Yeah, they were. But I think the fact that like you're a normal guy facing like aliens and ghosts and like all this crazy stuff, I don't know, because like, yeah, Iron Man's also a normal guy, but like he has a suit. Like all these, I I think all these other people, Hawkeye's just a normal dude, yeah. He said his own every single time. Plus, every time Hawkeye was in the Vengeance movie, they won. When he wasn't in it, they lost it. Look, our guy outsmarted Iron Man once.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I thought that was a pretty beast scene.
SPEAKER_08So, yeah, uh yeah, Hawkeye.
SPEAKER_12This is your favorite adventure?
SPEAKER_01The greatest. Not the favorite, the greatest. It can be either. It can be either.
SPEAKER_12That changes it all. It's up to it's not at all. The interpretation is here to be. Okay, hey, listen. Okay, I need you doubles are in, right? Okay, I'm sorry. Okay, so think quickly. As a teacher, I'm calling kids to think outside the box. Okay. So listen, my favorite adventure is Nick Fury. My greatest adventure is Nick Fury. We heard you. He's the reason why there's an adventure, correct? Hey?
SPEAKER_09Kind of.
SPEAKER_12Correct? Correct? True. He gathered. You said we're calling the talk now. Did you see that?
SPEAKER_03It was a great two can speak of nine. Everybody's nodding their heads yes right now.
SPEAKER_04He's the Hamilton.
SPEAKER_12Exactly. We can't believe you just use it. Anyway, so Nick Fury. I'm bringing it up anywhere. So Nick Fury is the greatest adventure. If you want me to give a real adventure, I would say Hulk because of She Hulk. You didn't even watch the show. I've seen the first episode. No, I know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I know it's great.
SPEAKER_06I think we should have banished Gracie for this episode.
SPEAKER_03That's crazy. Banishing. Well, you don't like hearing a woman's opinion? Yeah. You would have silenced one of my guns. This is crazy. Sorry.
SPEAKER_13Save it, beef continue.
SPEAKER_01And then reference. Okay.
Debate Time Marvel Hot Takes
SPEAKER_01Well, now to my favorite part. Guys, it's debate time. We're going to give a crazy Marvel hot take, and people can fight us on it, or, you know, just say something outlandish or and explain it, and then other people can, you know, debate it. You know what I'm saying? So I had already shared mine, but I'm going to go through it again because I think people wanted to debate me on it, and I am interested if maybe someone could change my mind on it. So I was going to say that Captain America's ending and endgame ruined his whole character and him choosing to go back in time. My ex my explanations for it is I feel like a lot of other characters lost more, and they could have used that last vial to, you know, Thor could have changed his life. You could have gone, but oh no, sorry, it is a bait. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_06They had more vials because Hank Pym was back, so they didn't have one last vial. They had multiple. So theoretically, like more people could have went.
SPEAKER_01Sure.
SPEAKER_06That's why I add that in.
SPEAKER_01That's good. That's good. That's good. But I still think, like, in Endgame, like he has this whole speech about how no one else is supposed to go back in time and change their past. Like it's very like.
SPEAKER_04Irresponsible. Yeah, it's very irresponsible.
SPEAKER_01It's just that like he's the one lecturing everyone on how they should not do that. And then he just doesn't say anything and sneaks away and does it. I'm like, hey, no, thank you. I don't appreciate how it erases Peggy's life. If you've seen Agent Carter, like she learns to move on from it, she dates somebody else, she gets a new job. All this is like now taken away. She'd already found somebody else to marry. I don't like it. Just feels like he abandoned Bucky. Loki, you did all that work in Civil War to be his best friend and stay with him his whole life, and then all of a sudden you're gone. And he's just like, how could he not feel abandoned from that? Like, I just can't get past that. And then when you go back in time, you're now reliving all those things, which means every horrible thing that happened in the MC universe, you're reliving and choosing not to step in or warn people about. I also think it is a sloppy ending just because when you go back in time, you're supposed to branch off into a new timeline and you don't exist in that timeline anymore. So it doesn't make sense that he was on that bench and lived out his life in that timeline. It should have branched off to a separate one and the world should have been changed from not having Captain America. Like it should have it should be branched off. Like that was just dumb on Marvel's part. It doesn't explain anything. And like the point of Captain America is to have lost the love of his life and teach people how to move forward from that. And all like think of all the great things that he had, and like it just felt like, oh, that's worth nothing because I just want this one thing when like it you saw her when she was old and she said she had a great life and that she was married with kids and that she was happy, so like it's not about you, bro. It is not about you. So that's my take.
SPEAKER_03Hear me out in addition to that. I agree, but it would have been the perfect ending for his character. We talked about this yesterday about like if he went back to return the infinity stone to that time and they had the last dance and then he left. That would be peak. Because like he still went back for that, but then he didn't like abandon his like his duty or like his like because he just leaves he leaves the he leaves the world a mess too.
SPEAKER_01Like they needed a leader, they needed Captain America. Everyone else is gone or dead or depressed, so like why the heck would you be like, actually, I'm gonna be the one to dip out and not say like I just hated that. Everyone's like, that is so sweet.
SPEAKER_03Canonically, Captain America let 9-11 happen.
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_14And that is true.
SPEAKER_05Captain America stops the plane, he's like, guys, I did it building still balls on. Yeah. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01Sorry. But I think I think most people think it's a hot take, or it's just because they love Captain America so much it doesn't change much for them. But after seeing that, that like changed everything for me. I just could not get past it. And I think the writers of Marvel kind of suck for doing that to him a little bit. Like I get the sweet little moment of him dancing and all that, but anyway, it doesn't matter that much.
SPEAKER_06That's a really good moment.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, not that good.
SPEAKER_06I was I don't know, because I feel like there's so many scenes throughout the movies, and like if you think about it, he didn't have a lot other than Bucky. I'll admit, leaving Bucky behind was probably his biggest, in my opinion, his biggest mistake. He didn't have anything in that in like modern times. He didn't have anybody. His best friend, Tony, died. Other than I mean, Bucky was still there, but Bucky was like half a man that he used to be because of all the experiments and whatnot. And also throughout every movie, every not only Avenger movie, but his movie, and they emphasize they like specifically have him in the group, like telling people how to move on. You can tell he doesn't believe it. He's trying to convince himself to move on, and he's not referencing his friends who have died, he's referencing Peggy. So him going back doesn't ruin his character. I think it ruins a lot of what the MCU set up, but it's not against Captain's character. He deserves to have the re that rest. He's been fighting the longest compared to anybody. He like, do I think it was the best riding choice? No. But does it make sense for his character? I don't think it's completely out of left field field for his character to like actually retire. I do still think it's messed up for him to leave Bucky though. And let 9-11 happen.
SPEAKER_04Okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_06Anybody else want to hop on that?
SPEAKER_04I think I agree. I think it's a good case. Yeah, I think it's a good case. Thumbs up.
SPEAKER_01Hey, I appreciate it. Everybody too like that. What's your hot take, David?
SPEAKER_06My hot take. I mean, I don't know how hot bringing back uh Robert Downey Jr. as Doom is I think a and bringing back Captain America is a desperate move on Marvel's part. With what happened, like with Kang's actor. I was really excited for Kang. I was really excited for him because I I love Jonathan Majors as an actor. I was excited for his character in the movie. I think he was great in the work probably the worst Marvel movie that there is. Yeah. But I just think it's a sloppy and weak move for them because they know that they're losing money, and this was like their magnum opus to try to bring people back was bad.
SPEAKER_04Well, I think it's because they sucked for a long time. Like, what was Eternals hot garbage?
SPEAKER_08It was not that bad. I I will agree with him on that. I don't think Eternals is that bad.
SPEAKER_13I love that. I will see. I saw it, and I'm I'm gonna add to it.
SPEAKER_06My other hot take that it's probably a lot hotter. I think Wanda is one of the most overrated characters in the MCU.
SPEAKER_09She is overrated. She was not that well written.
SPEAKER_06Republican enemy number one.
SPEAKER_02I really like that one.
SPEAKER_06As a whole, she's like a Mary Sue that's not even as powerful as everybody's. She's nowhere near as powerful as everybody's.
SPEAKER_11Is it 1950? Like what's bubbles in the mouth.
SPEAKER_03No, this is how famous. I'm gonna debate the use of that.
SPEAKER_06But her writing, I don't think Wanavision was a bad show. I actually really liked Wanavision until like the last two episodes.
SPEAKER_04It kind of just I don't like how in multiverse of madness they made her character super like I mean, yeah, I get it that she was a villain, but they made it like she had like the mark of the beast. Like she was like demonic almost.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I want to know Gary's take on that because I had conviction watching out. Like, this is the movies.
SPEAKER_06That is really bad writing on the on Marvel's part. I agree. I that's not where she should have ended, and that's not where her character was going. But they did that, and I think that a lot of people, because she was able to fight against Doctor Strange, upscale her so much. Yeah, I think I don't think she's that well like that powerful.
SPEAKER_03The issue was, and it came out afterwards. Apparently, the creators of Multiverse of Madness, everything's getting written at the same time. They did not watch WandaVision. I didn't know. No, they redid so everything she picked up. Wandavision, perfect character arc for her. Redid it in a like ten times worse way, even more than that.
SPEAKER_05They literally just screwed it over threw her in the toilet.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Because Wandavision is on the shoulders of that little Latina girl. Come on, come on, just for her, America.
SPEAKER_03Where is she? I want to see in another news. No chi's on dancing with a star. She's dancing her way into America First. Xoch.
SPEAKER_06But I just she has a great character in the comics. They just did not translate it well into the movies at all.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_06At all. But I guess that's okay.
SPEAKER_01Do you have something to say, Caroline?
SPEAKER_13No, it's funny because a lot of the things we're bringing up, I'm like, I'm gonna talk about later. So I'm just gonna. I'm like, do I bring it up now? Do I I don't know. So I'm just gonna hold my tongue for now. Okay. Okay. I like it.
SPEAKER_03I think you guys might kill me for this. I do believe it. I think Eternals is a better addition to the MCU than Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
SPEAKER_12Ninja Turtles?
SPEAKER_03Eternals!
SPEAKER_12Oh, I thought you said Ninja Turtles! I was like, were they in it? I didn't know.
SPEAKER_03I was gonna say better movie, but that's a lie. That's not a better movie. I will say.
SPEAKER_13Did you say Guardians of the Galaxy 3 or oh okay? I thought you were just in general, and I was like, ooh, no, no, no. I love Guardian. Okay, so Guardians 3. Okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_06Do you mean like to further develop the MCU as a whole, or just like what is the better story in movie?
SPEAKER_03Better to develop the MCU as a whole.
SPEAKER_06Okay, that's not crazy.
SPEAKER_03That's because initially I was gonna say movie, and I was like, that's just not true. Because Guardians 3 is a great movie. Like I could watch that standalone and be fine with it. But for the sake of where the MCU was when both came out, Eternals provides a bunch more information. I think it came out at the wrong time.
SPEAKER_06I agree with, I would agree with Tyrion. Came out at the wrong time. Came out at the wrong time.
SPEAKER_03And I think we I I do think there's a little bit of glaze for Guardians 3 because it is really sad. But also, we already knew Rocket had a bad backstory. Like Gracie, you gotta catch up, girl.
SPEAKER_12I gotta watch these as a friend.
SPEAKER_05Why is he saying that accent though? We about to watch these as friends. So we're gonna be each other.
SPEAKER_13Okay, so we'll just look up spoilers anyway.
SPEAKER_09So I'm gonna I agree with that.
SPEAKER_06I would say that's one of the like top five, maybe but top ten, definitely top five.
SPEAKER_04Okay, top five or top ten.
SPEAKER_06Top five.
unknownOkay, interesting.
SPEAKER_06Guardians 3 is definitely up there, but I would agree with you.
SPEAKER_03Because I just think it redoes a lot of like what we already like, we already know Rocket has a sad backstory. Sure, it was cool to see it. And then they have the what high evolutionary is the villain in it. He's probably not gonna come back in any way that's meaningful at all because the Kang thing's different now. And then the whole thing with Quill and Gamora, kind of we already saw it in Endgame, like yes, it fleshed it out more, but to me, Guardians 3 could have been another TV special like they did with the Christmas. No, no, fully. The plot that they cover in it is so small that they could cover it in 40 minutes instead of like an hour and a half or two hours. Like they could cover it so more condensed, and it still would have been emotionally impactful. But like, I don't see it as a purpose for a movie in the MCU as it sits now. Like, I think they could have changed it. Like, I feel like it's a lot whereas eternals, it brings in the celestials. I also think hot take, I think the first incursion that we see in the MCU is when the Eternals decide not to like let the earth be consumed. Yeah, I think that's the first incursion.
SPEAKER_06What I what I just don't like is how they've done nothing with them.
SPEAKER_03No, yeah. And then, oh, don't even miss it.
SPEAKER_04Hey, the post-credit scene.
SPEAKER_03Well, get out and get out and leave. Including Harry Styles and MCU is great. As Thanos' brother too.
SPEAKER_08As Thanos' brother! That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03You're gonna hate that movie. Actually, I will I like that movie.
SPEAKER_04I will take back what I said earlier because I did watch the Eternals and I liked it, but I think it was wrongly the place more.
SPEAKER_06Same with the Black Widow movie, in my opinion. It's not a bad movie, but they shouldn't have released that after she died.
SPEAKER_03When I looked it up, literally they were supposed to be the second game. It was far from home Black Widow Eternals. Horrible spot for Eternals to come at. Literally. Like if they had waited just a little bit. Or like done it beforehand. That's the Great Depression period. Yeah. We were not ready. We were not ready.
SPEAKER_06This year or last year? I think Eternals would have done a lot better.
SPEAKER_03And then the only time they brought anything back with the Celestials was in that Bones Captain America movie. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I watched 25 minutes and I was like, I fell asleep.
SPEAKER_03I saw it for years and I left and I was just kind of sad. Was that just like what is that brand new world or brand new world?
SPEAKER_08I will say, I think the one thing that carried that, not carried, but I think I love seeing that was seeing a Hulk-ish variant. Yeah. Actually be pulled for once. Like seeing the Red Hulk come out was like, okay, like Harrison Ford cook.
SPEAKER_03He was hear me out in that movie.
SPEAKER_11I hear you. I hear you. Harrison. I'm always listening. Old man Harrison Ford? I'm ugly. Harrison. Not actually.
SPEAKER_13I mean, having seen Indiana Jones.
SPEAKER_06But she's saying old man.
SPEAKER_03And still Harrison.
SPEAKER_05But what about when he's right home?
SPEAKER_03Yep.
SPEAKER_05I agree.
SPEAKER_03So anyway, all I'm saying is I'm saying I'm very good.
SPEAKER_02We did it, Joe.
SPEAKER_00Sorry. Sorry.
SPEAKER_03No, that's what that's my take. I just wish they had included Blade by now or like Kit Harrington as the Black Knight was gonna cook. I was so excited for that. I don't know why, but otherwise, I think it is like a better addition to the MCU thanks.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, there's a million in-credit scenes that went nowhere. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Those are different multiverses. That's what they're gonna say. Yeah. Like, it's not canon anymore.
SPEAKER_13Did you finish your team? Okay, perfect. So I guess I'm gonna continue kind of what you were saying. I couldn't really pick one. I don't really stir the pot compared to I feel like the rest of you guys. Um but telling about Eternals, I thought the Eternals did a great job of portraying a speedster with Macari. Yes. I uh I'm someone who grew up watching the CW Flash. Grant Gussen stuff by me and actually that was my celebrity crush going up. I can never remember is Grant Gusson. But, anyways, I, someone who loves the Flash and watching like watching that show growing up, I remember seeing Eternals and I was like, wow, this was such a great job of like portraying a speedster, and it came out and everyone's like, this always trash, and I was like, Yeah, you're right. Um but I think they did a great job of that. Um my another hot take So my hot take, well I can't really like expand upon it, but like I actually did not enjoy the new Spider-Man movie. I did not think it was good. I did not think it, I did not think it landed with me as well as I wanted it to. I don't think I got out of it what I was expecting, and so I did not enjoy it as much.
SPEAKER_09I have a spike.
SPEAKER_13And I can't really explain why, so I'm just gonna leave it at that. We'll have to debrief after. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03When she's on guys, I'm the only one on the podcast who has not seen the news for you.
SPEAKER_04Hey, thumbs down in the chat.
SPEAKER_06Thumbs down in the chat. That is why we're not talking about it this episode.
SPEAKER_14No, that's not why. It's also because it came out recently and we don't spoil it for everybody. Yeah, no, that's fair.
SPEAKER_13And then we could, we could. It's been a while.
SPEAKER_06Well, anybody care if we spoiled that movie too?
SPEAKER_13If you're listening to this podcast this far, I think I think it's safe to say that you could we could spoil it. Except for the Spider-Man. My last hot take. So this is not, I don't, I think this is just general knowledge. Captain America had way better chemistry with uh Natasha than Bruce Van. Listen! Like I I watch it back and I'm like, I'm actually like I'm aggravated. Like, you remember the scene where she's got like the Bob, she got the fresh Bob, and then he's got the cap on and the elevator and the kiss on the escalator. I was like, whoa. Wow. Like, I don't think I've ever felt that much palpable tension in a Marvel cinematic movie.
SPEAKER_06Yes. You know, did you ever watch the cartoon? There was a cartoon released about all the Avengers kids.
SPEAKER_13Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_06Captain America's son is black black widow and Captain America had a kid.
SPEAKER_14Oh.
SPEAKER_06So like they could have got like comic accurate. They could have like pointed it that way, but no, they gave it up for like a one and done little like romance.
SPEAKER_13Yeah, I just will watch like the the scenes like with what's his name? The Bruce Banner. What's his name? The one in Mark Ruffalo. Mark Ruffalo. Like, I'll watch it when he was like hulking out in the older movies, and she's like calming him down, and I'm like, I'm getting the ick. Like I'm physically it's a visceral reaction when I watch that. Then I see Captain. In my head, those don't exist. It should be Hulk and Cheat Hulk, am I right? No, they're cousin! They're cousin.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god. She's hulking. No button.
SPEAKER_13Are you ship them? Do you think they're your OTP? And do you make them an OTP?
SPEAKER_05No, but why about it?
SPEAKER_08She's aware of that too. I think Hulk having a random kid out of nowhere, like it was so dumb. Yes, I I get that Bruce Banner can have a kid and Hulk can't whatever, but I think it's still just like I think that that just ruined the little bit of love story behind Hulk in Black Widow. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I also think I hot take, okay, so I did like Natasha and Bruce, but I also think they should have done better and carried it out more than they did. Because I think naturally I do agree. I think that she and Captain America had better chemistry. Like I get that. But I also think that like if they put more time into it instead of just like this weird subplot in Ultron, they could have like they actually committed to it. It's not like they're testing the water since the first Avengers, and they were just like, maybe. And then they cooked, and then Winter Soldier comes out and they're like, so we tried this. Let's try a little bit of this. And everyone immediately was like, do that. And then they did it.
SPEAKER_08Well, if like in the later Avengers, it's probably only a few scenes where like Bruce or Bruce slash Hulk season Tasha, it's like a that's like kind of it. Like they're they don't even show that.
SPEAKER_04I forget, like, it might have been in the third Avengers where he's like, he's walking onto the air, he's like, Hey, it's me, I'm back. And I'm like, that see that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and it hurt.
SPEAKER_04So bad. Is it in the third Avengers movie? No, no, no, no, no. It's um Affinity Wars, where that's the third Avengers movie movie. Oh, because they're taking the airplane to go. Yeah, they're taking the airplane. Yeah. They just got back. Yeah, they're watching DC. Yes. Everybody's like, oh look, it's Bruce, and he's like, hey guys, it's me. I'm back. I'm like, what are you here?
SPEAKER_09I don't remember that.
SPEAKER_05It's like me.
SPEAKER_11Welcome back to my mukbang.
SPEAKER_04It's so weird.
The Hawkeye Show And Missing Nick Fury
SPEAKER_04Yeah. My turn. Yes, it's your turn. Okay, my hot takes are I had Natasha and Bruce on there. Thank you for bringing it up because I've been taking that off of my chest. I hate pretending that Hawkeye Show is good because it wasn't. I'm so sorry. What? It's not good. Why? But also, like, where are they going?
SPEAKER_14Why?
SPEAKER_04Okay. So a 12-year-old girl. Like, I just thought, like, it was just weird. Like, she was like, sure. Sure, but like, where's his family at? Like, I know like they got blipped, but like they really don't. This was after the blip. But they don't really show much of his family. It's like where. Okay, it's a whole series. Where's his family? He's just gallivanting. He's gallivanting with a 16-year-old.
SPEAKER_06His wife comes in with it. No. It's him dealing with his white demons.
SPEAKER_03She's just like, no.
SPEAKER_05See, this is why you can't debate with Tyree.
unknownWhat the?
SPEAKER_05Okay, she goes, no, no, shut up. A woman's speaking. You can't abuse that.
SPEAKER_06The whole point of the show is him like dealing with the demons he created during Infinity War when his family was blipped. Because he went out and was basically Batman killing her.
SPEAKER_03As Ronin.
SPEAKER_06As Ronin. And then that's how Hayley Steinfeld kind of got into it, is because she was trying to be like, Oh, I want to be a hero like you. And then was pretending to be Ronan. I could be wrong on that. She somehow got roped into it. And that's the whole the whole point of the show is that's why his family's not there. He's not gonna bring them into it.
SPEAKER_04I get it, and it's sweet, and it's like a reconciliation moment for during Christmas time. It was really sweet, but I was just wanting more action. I was wanting more action, more like of him running the streets, shooting arrows, but he's like Hallmark movie Christmas time with his stepdaughter, and it was like this.
SPEAKER_13I kind of said is that like the like more of a kind of a setup for young Avengers?
SPEAKER_04Wasn't that kind of like a layout?
SPEAKER_06And then they never did it. That's what like some of the shows were because they did that with Agatha. Yeah. And then like they did that with that. They also thought that's like what they were gonna do with Hulk's son, yeah, which is comic accurate, but also did terribly.
SPEAKER_04Like which and I would have been here for it had they have done something with the city. They just they keep just keep working. Do we think it's gonna eventually happen?
SPEAKER_13I feel like that's going to. There's no way they're not going to. Well, there's so many of the kids. Oh no, at least I'm married NFL players. That's like that's that's like a money grab right there. That's something you can easily.
SPEAKER_08Well, is it a money grab? Will it actually be successful? I don't know. Because we got Ant Man. Would I go see it? I'm like, I'll see it.
SPEAKER_03I've like done anything as like a series if they do anything. Yeah, yeah. Because what they have Miss Marvel, they have to like Marvel. Marvel higher. That's true. Yeah, yeah. Because in Manka they were really kind of like supposed to. They were supposed to be the two. That's true. Like start it.
SPEAKER_06Don't even say nothing. You shipped She-Hulk and Hulk, dude.
SPEAKER_03What about it? Let's see. What about them? Like, maybe they're cousins. And they have bratas. You didn't understand.
SPEAKER_12Um, I had another friend.
SPEAKER_04I wish Nick Fury could come back. I think he did a good job of rallying the Avengers, and I don't think it's the same without him since he left.
SPEAKER_06And spoiler alert, he's not gone.
SPEAKER_04I know, but like they just haven't like I know why he left, but why did he have to leave? Like, they just haven't been. I know why, but I just wish that his character was still in the movies. Because what is he coming back to?
SPEAKER_06He's a really good actor, and I really like I feel like it's more so like what is he supposed to do about an like us like a multiversal threat. He just like runs stuff on Earth.
SPEAKER_04Hey, his comedic relief.
SPEAKER_06That's true.
SPEAKER_03I love Nick Fury. Look, hey, even the team USA basketball team needs a coach, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_14Hey, that's true. Like she needs a coach.
SPEAKER_06No, because like he walks into the locker room.
SPEAKER_04Guys, guys. And I don't like the what's her name? Valencia Valerie? She's just not the same. Because she's kind of doing the same thing for like the new Avengers, the Thunderbolts. Hey, don't. What are we looking at? No, sorry, I'm talking to Gray. Please, no, I can't. What's saying that Valencia girl is kind of doing the same thing and rallying like the them like the new Avengers or whatever? So he just Oh Eulena. No, uh wait, no, no. Valerie Valentina. Yeah, that's who that's what I was doing. So it's kind of like she's taking his place, I guess, for now, but I just miss him. I just miss him.
SPEAKER_06Thunderbolts was such a good movie. It was a good movie.
SPEAKER_04Oh, peek. My last hot take is I don't know if I agree with this one or disagree with this one, but I want to hear your guys' thoughts.
Did Endgame Fix Or Break Things
SPEAKER_04Did Avengers fix a problem or they cause more problems by doing in-game?
SPEAKER_09Oh.
SPEAKER_04By what endgame you said? What did you think? By like in-games or like going back and like reversing everything.
SPEAKER_06I think I have an interesting take on it. I wish they did more and did a longer span. Like more movies in between Infinity War and Endgame. Because I wish we could have seen the world.
SPEAKER_08The effects of it. The effects of it.
SPEAKER_06Because like they do the jump in the movie. Like they show it's like what how many years is it? Five years.
SPEAKER_08Five years, yep.
SPEAKER_06I would have liked to see like a couple more movies showing that instead of just doing the jump.
SPEAKER_08If there's a five-year gap between the two movies, that would have been crazy. That would be crazy. That would be not a good thing.
SPEAKER_07I mean they did do more good than harm because they brought everyone back. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_04So like but imagine like what's going on. But there's also like five years and then she comes back and it's like, what are you supposed to do? Like it's like whole families, like millions of people.
SPEAKER_13That's what like I real like what David was saying. Like, I feel like there was more development. Because if you think about it, like I really liked when Yelena was in the bathroom and like everything was kind of scaling over and it was changing. And I think that was something like we didn't really think about where it's like some she was in someone's house and then she like blips back and it's something completely different. They're like freaked out, where it kind of just like this whole state of the world is like, how do you navigate like going forward? Like, what's yeah, like kind of the the precedent going forward?
SPEAKER_06They also like talk about that in the uh Winter Soldier and Valcon show because it's like, oh, all these people moved into these houses, yeah, they're all gone. Yeah. Who now gets the house? It's like a power vacuum, you know? Like, yeah.
SPEAKER_03It's like homelessness, over cooperation. That's a I also think, and that I'll talk more about later for like fixing issues and stuff, because I I did actually really enjoy the Black Widow movie. I think it would have been cool to see like what you're saying in between, or like we are saying in between Infinity War and Endgame, but a really grounded take with Yelena and like Taskmask Taskmaster as like the main villain and like the similar things like that. I'll talk more about later, but I feel like that would have been a cool way to bridge the gap of like you see somebody like on the ground and like doing all this stuff or whatever.
SPEAKER_06I don't know how it would work because like you know, she uplift, but like more of like real-world, like human kind of story, not like superhuman kind of story.
SPEAKER_09Yeah.
SPEAKER_08I think if it was yeah, if the the the span of time was only like a few weeks, I will say 100% justified yes, bring everyone back. Yeah, but five years when you think starting the implications of like even seeing the Spider-Man when all the kids are selling back in school, like we start thinking about the the implications of five-year gap and selling everyone's back, like that ruins I think everything. The economy, like everything just gets ruined.
SPEAKER_04Like, and obviously, like I'm sure, like, well, obviously, people are happy that their family is back, but like you say, like the economy and everything, it's like and I don't even know, like, they portrayed it in Spider-Man, like, oh, it's just back at school.
SPEAKER_06It's like Yeah, they're so casual about it in that movie.
SPEAKER_04As working in this education system, that is not realistic.
SPEAKER_08But then it goes back down to the the heart behind superheroes where they're like, yeah, looking not always right just because you can doesn't mean you should. Right, like Anime Came Back, which is great, though, because the the mouse or whatever, but like I think it's one of those things of like they didn't I think it's like one of those things of like, oh, we can do this. I don't think they really thought of like, should we? Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I mean I mean to an extent, that's what Iron Man's kind of talking about. And because he's like, I don't want to really erase or ruin anything that I've made in these five years.
SPEAKER_08Exactly all Spidey.
SPEAKER_06And but also I have they brought Spidey back, so it was the right decision.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, there you go, there you go. Well, I will also say it technically it kind of lines with what Kenneth's saying about the whole Captain America thing, because like if the whole point of his character is like to have this massive loss and move through the grief, then the actual actions of the plot at Endgame undoes that entirely before he even makes his decision. Because it undoes the process that they went through for the five years. And what is your bad if not love?
SPEAKER_04Love persisting. And also, without Captain America's grief, we would not have Infinity Wars Captain America. Amen. And we need that.
SPEAKER_05Are you talking about the bearded look or are you talking about the beard?
SPEAKER_11Oh, when the dream goes by and you're like he catches the sphere.
SPEAKER_08Oh my god. Even the characters themselves mention the fact that the world was healing after Thanos was snapped. They're like, even the whole uh scene of the whales back in the river, like I think it's so easy to like overlook that, but it's like was Thanos entirely wrong if they have their own mask admit the world was kind of healing.
SPEAKER_04His take, I just don't agree with how he did it.
SPEAKER_06Movie Thanos isn't that I mean, he's a villain, obviously, but his reasoning is crazy.
SPEAKER_04Hey, there's a lot of people on this earth.
SPEAKER_09Well, there's a lot of people.
SPEAKER_03I think we need to workshop that one.
SPEAKER_05You need a workshop that one.
SPEAKER_04Workshop that one, hey, one on one two sixty-four at five o'clock. Well, I'm trying to get it. Can we blip this traffic real quick?
SPEAKER_14Can I blip this person's order? Blip that. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Grace, go ahead. What's your hot take?
SPEAKER_10I don't have any hot takes. So we can use my time if you guys want to talk more about yours. Wow.
SPEAKER_01Thank you for donating us time. Yeah, it's put the same thing.
Tom Holland Spider-Man And MCU Problems
SPEAKER_08My hot take is that Tom Holland's Spider-Man movies are carried by the fact that he's in the MCU and he's in the Avengers movies. Yep. Yes. For Spider-Man movies, they're actually not that great. No hot take. Maybe it's not a hot take. Oh, maybe okay, great. Great. Like I think with Spider-Man, I want to see him swinging through New York, burdened by the loss of his dead uncle, being Miserable. Right, like depressed. Well, not as powerful, but like I think the whole like Uncle Ben, New York, all that I think was just taken out. I think it was completely wasted. I think I think it's just it was right on the coattails of your Iron Man's Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Prodigy. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06You're basically Iron Man's Robin. That's how it more so felt in the first two movies.
SPEAKER_08Right. Like I think I would have I think I think the scene was I'm gonna sneeze. I think the scene with Spider-Man coming to Civil War, yes, it was cool. It was pretty cool. I think I would have much rather have seen an origin story of of that Spider-Man where he was actually Spider-Man apart from Avengers and Iron Man. Like he was just a kid figuring out superpowers.
SPEAKER_01I think it's just because it was already done and then done again. And so you're gonna do it, but like they just so I think that that is why he isn't as good. But I can understand why they're just like, we're gonna do this for the third time again. No, we gotta change it up a little bit. We have Toby, we have Andrew, we have Uncle Ben.
SPEAKER_03I have a hot take about that hot take. Hey, I think that overall, because I had that issue too for most of Tom Holland's series. I was like, okay, like what are we doing here? Let's get back to like street level Spider-Man. But I think the whole thing is that his origin story was across the three movies instead of actually skipping it. Like I they made us think that they skip his origin as Spider-Man or like show it in glimpses, but it's not completed until May says though with Great Power has the ability with no way home. So like to me, it's like the like a very different origin story in the sense of he's dealing with all these high-level things first that he now has to learn and go like learn how to wield that responsibility well. I feel like after all these big things, when the weight's more on him because he doesn't have the Avengers, like they don't know who he is, like they don't know the connection to that. So like I feel like but I also will say as standalone Spider-Man movies, they're not great, they're not as good.
SPEAKER_08They're good movies, they're not just Spider-Man movies. Yeah, like the original Spider-Man's did a great job of making the city feel like New York with like like I don't know, there's like it's like New York feel to it, but like Spider-Man like it could have been anywhere. Yeah, or I think it takes away like ocean.
SPEAKER_03Literally, literally Spider-Man on the tide. Is that Dumar's? Dumar.
SPEAKER_08This might be a hot take. I was just I just thought about right now, actually. Like I think MJ in the first in the homecoming and like her little like I I think she's kind of annoying.
SPEAKER_13Yeah, actually, yes, I know. In the first one, like yeah, if she wasn't if MJ If Zendaya wasn't MJ, do we feel like there would be more hate for MJ's character in that movie?
SPEAKER_01I feel like I feel like people would hate Zendaya. I think that her character is annoying cheeks, like it's horrible. I anytime she talks in that first movie, I'm just kind of like being happy a little bit, like she's just like the weird class emo. Yeah, like not in like a sweet in the pick me in front of her.
SPEAKER_06She's like there's drawing Peter in detention. That's kind of weird. Yeah, but she gets better. Yeah, she does her character gets she gets a lot better. Yeah, I would agree with that a lot.
SPEAKER_07I'd be afraid to say that.
SPEAKER_06I just feel like Tom's entire thing was just he was just Iron Man Jr. the entire way through. And I do agree with more. It's a really good like progression into it, but I don't like that they cut his entire care in his an entire character that's so important to him being Uncle Ben. Right. Uncle Ben they don't mention him.
SPEAKER_08Like I think I just I just want to see him do more Spider-Man stuff, swinging around, like just being yeah, no, I'll see you I'll see him perched up on a on a New York in the rain.
SPEAKER_13They got AI for a reason, bro. They got AI for a reason.
SPEAKER_08Like I wanna see him perched up on the Empire State building, yeah, looking over New York City more than.
SPEAKER_06I'm sorry, but in the third movie when they're all like, oh, we all have our important spots to us. His is the top of their high school.
SPEAKER_08Right, right, right. Kobe's is like somewhere cool. Yeah, like army, looking at all of New York. Yeah, I save that person, I save that person.
SPEAKER_05And then he's on top of a school. Right. Bruh. What?
SPEAKER_12Schools are important. And that's where he met MJ. And that's where he lost MJ.
SPEAKER_05And then hey.
SPEAKER_12Well, my hot take.
SPEAKER_08That's again.
SPEAKER_12You're done.
SPEAKER_08Oh, go ahead.
SPEAKER_12My hot take is Doctor Strange. What?
SPEAKER_08This is good. This is good. This is good.
SPEAKER_12Doctor Strange is lame because you in fixed Peter Parker and all those memories and such. Yeah. Like, how can you be so great, but you can't focus on something you're doing because of asking.
SPEAKER_13Also, he literally said it himself. He was like, why don't I think to ask if you've talked to the guidance counselor? Why aren't you start with counselor? Not the guidance counselor. What was it? Like the person for MIT? He was like, You didn't even ask her? He's like, why don't I start with that? So he himself acknowledges that.
SPEAKER_10Did you talk about this in the last episode a little bit? I feel like you guys touched on it a little bit. Yeah.
SPEAKER_13Maybe that's but like you're yeah, you're not thinking.
SPEAKER_06That's a good one. Not a bad thing. Not a bad take. Actually, your best take. That's a character flaw. So far.
SPEAKER_01I agree. Not big. McFury was a good one. That was a good thing. She Hulk and Hulk should be together.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that kind of discredits you all.
SPEAKER_03Oh no, they're cousins. In reality, her favorite superhero is Iron Man. I don't, I know we talked about it. I'm just trying to be niche here. Okay. She's trying to lie. She has checked out the She-Hulk. My fault. I lied.
SPEAKER_08It's probably a hot take as well. The nanotech suit was cool, but to me, that's just not Iron Man.
SPEAKER_06No.
SPEAKER_08Yeah. Like the OG, like when you hear like the things whizzing and whirring, yeah, it's like, I'm like, yo, that was so cool. Iron Man. Tony Stark built disintegrate.
SPEAKER_05Dude, Pete Suit was the briefcase suit. Yes. That was so cool.
SPEAKER_13Wait, but question, wait, real quick, real quick question. The nanotech, wasn't it created? Because I mean, I just saw this online, so I'm like, I this could be not true. But wasn't it nanotech created because Ant-Man got into his suit through like the traditional armor that he had on? And so that like nanotech was kind of like that skin tight, like no, like almost like Achilles heel, where it's like you you find your weaknesses and you you adapt for it. That's what I like I kind of interpret to do.
SPEAKER_08Well, nanotech interpreted it as it checked a lot of boxes, it was definitely cool. I think it was a better suit for for Tony Stark. Yeah. I think it's like for watching it, seeing Iron Man, I want to see some metal, not some nano tip.
SPEAKER_13But I think that's also like a good kind of like oh to his character. He's improvising, he's adapting, he's overcoming. You know, bear girls. That's Iron Man. So I don't know. I think I but I also understand your take.
SPEAKER_01Quickly through
Top Five Characters Quick Draft
SPEAKER_01your top five. There's no explanation. Yeah. You just say it. You say the innocent move on. Go ahead. Or do you want me to go first? Or you want to go first? You go first. Okay. Number one, Iron Man, number two, Spider-Man, number three, Hulk, number four. Loki, hot take. I actually really love Ant-Man. Sorry. I didn't really know.
SPEAKER_06Number one, Spider-Man, number two, Thor, number three, Hulk, number four, Captain America, and then number five, Black Panther.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Number one, Spider-Man, number two, Loki, number three, Black Widow, number four, Iron Man, number five, uh, Thor.
SPEAKER_13I don't know the order. Um this is but definitely Wanda Max the Mosque's first one, but then from here it's kind of just whoever. Spider-Man, Captain America, Moon Knight. Yes! Yes! Representation! Yes! Isaac and Wong. Wong! Good job! Oh, well, she's finding him. Uh the reason why I said Spider-Man and Captain America is because Queens and Brooklyn, and I'm from New York. That's right. I am from New York. I'm from actually, I don't know if I should say that. I don't want to leak any info. It's hard living my life. I I didn't do this question, so I'll skip.
SPEAKER_10I only have three, and I think I've just already talked about them. It was Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Black Widow. And hey, hey!
SPEAKER_08Simple five, no explanation. Cap, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor, and the OG Hulk. Yeah, Edward North. Cannon is the same. Oh no, the 2008 up until like Ragnarok.
SPEAKER_13Oh, so Mark Ruffalo.
SPEAKER_06So before Smart Hulk. Before Smart Hulk. Yes.
SPEAKER_12Okay, okay, okay. I agree, I agree. Top five, no explanation. Franklin Fantastic. Raccoon Rocket Raccoon. MJ, med, pepper, Iron Man's Girl.
SPEAKER_11It's giving AI overview. Why do you not use AI?
SPEAKER_05Pull your phone out right now.
SPEAKER_13Oh, uh the way you said Pepper, Iron Man's Girl. It seems like parentheses.
SPEAKER_08No, it was straight from the dome. Straight from the dome.
SPEAKER_13Okay, alright, I'll give it. I I don't need credit. Alright, I don't need uh. I'll give you credit. I don't need proof.
SPEAKER_12But it's just not.
SPEAKER_01So it's R. All in the dome.
Fixing Storylines Hulk Wanda Black Widow
SPEAKER_01The question is if you could change or fix one storyline, whose would it be? I think that there are so many. Hot, maybe hot take after Endgame, maybe for my peace of mind, it should have just ended there. Because I feel like they destroyed a lot of characters, like Thor's character, get Love and Thunder out of here. Why did you do that? Matt Wanda's character, why did you like there's so many that you're just like, why did you do that? So I would fix so many things, but because I'm an Iron Man girl through and through, I would figure out a way where he did not die and he is with his daughter and his wife. That was such a good thing for his character, though. I can't like emotionally handle it. I can objectively see how peak it is and how great for his character, but he already sacrificed himself in the very first Avengers movie when he went up to space. Like we all know that he's willing to sacrifice. Why can't he just have the like his daughter? Like it's just I'll never get over it. So that is it, but it's not but it's not a very niche take. Go for it, David.
SPEAKER_06If I were to change a single storyline, it would be Hulk's storyline. Give him his own movie after Incredible Hulk. He is one of the he was one of the best comic book characters before the MCU, and then they just completely ruined him. I don't think Smart Hulk is a bad character by any means, but the way they the way they did it terrible. Terrible. Terrible. They give give him give this man his own movie, not a couple of scenes throughout some of the Avengers movies. And also don't make his love interest a frickin' black widow. Make it Betty Brandt, because then she becomes Red Hulk, and then they actually like have a relationship.
SPEAKER_05Not her cousin, Gracie.
SPEAKER_06But yeah, that would probably be the number one. And then Tom Hollins, I'm not gonna lie. It was a different time back then, but I don't know if you guys there were originally plans to bring Andrew Spidey in.
SPEAKER_08Yes, I saw, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_06And I think I think it would have been really interesting because a more mature Spider-Man on Iron Man's team with a possible Iron Spider suit. I think that could have been awesome. But I understand a lot of people like that. Hey, Marvel, listen up. We want him.
SPEAKER_03I want him, but we're not gonna be.
SPEAKER_06I never got to get to my Spider-Man take up our okay.
SPEAKER_03Also, I will say, I think if it was Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man, I think he would have been Team Cap.
SPEAKER_06I agree. Oh, 100. I think any version of Spider-Man except Tom's would have been Team Cap. Because the whole point of his character is Team Cap's like ideology. Not crazy.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I think I would personally fix the issues with Black Widow. Fixed there's some issues, I'll admit, I did like the movie still. I think it's a little bit overhated, but I I will say, I think going back to what I said before, I want it to take place between Infinity War and Endgame. I want it to still be about a sisterhood relationship between Elena and Natasha. But then I want halfway through the movie, Natasha gets blipped instead of you instead of Elena. And then Elena has to live out as Black Widow while all this stuff is happening. I will say that would change please hire me. That's what she's doing. Not that she's age. Um I will say though, I do love because I love Black Widow, I love her development throughout Endgame and what that does to her for like her leadership, stuff like that. But I also think it gives you the same weight of her being gone that the end of Endgame gives you without her actually having to be gone for the rest of the series. Yeah. And it returns like the heart of the team, you know what I mean? Like that's what she became during Endgame. I think that it would be really grounded with it like centered on the sisterhood relationship. I think you could actually do Taskmaster justice in a very street-level movie because Taskmaster in the comic books is such a good thing. He's so cool. Such a good villain! So cool.
SPEAKER_02Hey, hot take, real not hot take, cold take, freezing cold take, really good villain.
SPEAKER_03I think it would be great and it would give you a glimpse into the life during the blip, but I also think it would give you a glimpse into like her journey throughout that. And then I think you can still even have like a form of Thunderbolts happening afterwards, or you have Thunderbolts happen during the blip again, because all those people were not blipped. And it would make sense to have a stand-in Avengers, yeah, during that time period where everybody's like, What, like, what's going on? And then it still makes sense because her dad would still be grieving with her because they still would have thought they lost Natasha.
SPEAKER_06I will say though having Natasha blipped and then bringing her back at like they kill her off. That's like such an important part of the story. She couldn't get killed off if she was blipped, though. How would that work?
SPEAKER_03Right. That's what I'm saying. It would have to change. Hey, we have to workshop it. Yeah, I think it's a good idea.
SPEAKER_06Hey, Rome wasn't built in a day.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, Rome was not built in a day.
SPEAKER_13What if we call Taylor up? What do we call Marvel up?
SPEAKER_06Car Marvel.
SPEAKER_03Can hear me out. Instead of it being Clint and Natasha going there, I think Wanda and Vision actually are like alive after Infinity War. Maybe that's the switch. You lose Vision there somehow instead of an Infinity War. I don't know. It's a soft page. I didn't think about that. Hey, she's lobbying here. But if they if they somehow got the stone, I respect the free throws. I respect the free throws. If he got the stone out of his head somehow in Wakanda and they still separated it from him, he was still alive somehow during anyone.
SPEAKER_06Because then they have white vision, he's still alive.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_12Yeah, what's up with I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Because you have to give like an infinite vision quest. Okay.
SPEAKER_01And he doesn't have a soul.
SPEAKER_03You need to watch that. I do. But because he was the former host of the stole stone, do you think it still would like to do it? But if they took it out of him, that's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01Like you have to give a soul. So that's kind of like a fine. Good job. Good job. I need to talk more afterwards. No!
SPEAKER_14Put it into Patreon.
SPEAKER_13Kind of full circling back to the one storyline I could change is a wanda maximoff. I I really do enjoy like Elizabeth Olston's like take on the character. I think she did such a good job over like the years of developing it. I loved WandaVision. I think it was well done. I do, I wasn't a huge fan of like the last few episodes, but I kind of understand where they were trying to go with that. But I feel like what yeah, you kind of stole the words out of my mouth talking about how like the the people that wrote or like produced the what was it, multiverse of madness, like did not do their homework. And it clearly showed. And for me, I just remember like seeing that, and then I saw that that was revealed, and I was like, well, that makes sense. Like there's just I feel like there's two different characters. It's almost like if it was a different story, if it was a different, like um, like a different multiverse Wanda in general. So that's where I was like, they nerfed it so hard, I don't think it was brought justice.
SPEAKER_01So when I saw I thought I missed a movie, I was like, wait a second, yeah. I missed it really does feel like that. And I looked back to see if there was another season of WandaVision because there's no way we did not leave off at this point.
SPEAKER_06She just kind of went evil out of nowhere.
SPEAKER_13Yeah, she just just and I that's like she was working so hard for that character development that she developed in Wandavision, and then it's just like, what happened?
SPEAKER_09Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_13180.
SPEAKER_04Justice for my girl, justice for Wanda. You as well, Kennedy. Like, I think there's so many characters after Endgame, it's like, why did they do that to that character? My specifically niche character that I wish like they wouldn't have killed him so quickly, and I wish they would have introduced him as like a different multiverse Quicksilver is Pietro, like I wish. Personal like also, could you imagine Aaron Taylor Johnson and Evan Peters in that? That's a red line.
SPEAKER_06Like I don't know if you guys have seen the X-Men movies. He was so good as Quicksilver. Oh, so good.
SPEAKER_05So I when he's saving everybody in the house, and then they reduced him to a penis joke. Yeah. That's literally his entire character in that show.
SPEAKER_04I wish they would have like did that instead of doing with that character what it was. Because I was like, I was excited that Evan Peter was there, but it's like not, he wasn't actually Quicksilver, he was just a random.
SPEAKER_08What I wrote down was just killing off Quicksilver in general. Yeah, so I think unnecessary. Like I think I don't love seeing a speecher in the battle of Wolconda. That would have been so cool. Oh my gosh. Yes, like that would have been like I think to have the only speezer in the MCU killed off in one movie, like bruh.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Hey, hear me out. If he's alive, Wanda and Pietro in the freaking Soulstone thing.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_11That would be better.
SPEAKER_03That's right. Yeah. We're cooking.
SPEAKER_05Marvel!
SPEAKER_03She had to start her grief with something.
SPEAKER_05But I mean that's a good thing.
SPEAKER_13In Age of Ultron, though, where Wanda's like falling to her knees. Yeah. And it's and you see like her, I think it's her chest, she just comes red and just blows up years. And it's just like the ripple effect. Like her grief is just so into and she just goes beast mode. I do appreciate that. That's true. That is a good scene. Did you do a fake out death then? Like you thinks he's dead, she still gets to do that. You ever seen like Harry Potter in that one scene? Another spoiler. Sorry, Harry Potter spoilers, but like that when he's like silently screaming, you feel the grief and the rage just emulating from him. That was that scene for me in ageable chat.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, enough for me.
SPEAKER_03I want to hear the audio scene so bad.
SPEAKER_13No, please. Release it. Release it. Universal Vies. I'm begging you.
SPEAKER_03Since I was 14, I wanted to see that thing. I need angst. I need to hear it.
SPEAKER_01Very grace.
SPEAKER_10Pretty basic. I mean, I don't know if there's a way that this could happen, but very on theme with all my other answers. If there was a way that Iron Man didn't have to die and Black Widow didn't have to die, I would be on board with it.
SPEAKER_04She sticks to her guns.
SPEAKER_08I think Infinity War would have been a significantly better movie if at the beginning, yes, Hulk wins because redemption, there's another scene where him and Thanos duke it out, but he loses again. Do I at least see like Hulk in the Battle of Kwanda, him like going crazy? Right. Like I think he witch. I think it would have still been cool, like still lose redemption. You think he's gonna win, but then he dies. I think the same with Vision. I think him getting nerfed at the beginning was so dumb, in my opinion. Vision is so overpowered. And for him to be like stupid, it's dumb. Like this is power of love.
SPEAKER_09Power of love.
SPEAKER_08I think seeing like Hulk and Vision be full strength in the battle of condo would have been sick. But I think also would have been the to make the devastation of the loss even greater that Thanos still beat them. Again, I think still keep the same story, like Thanos still winning, but I think still having like the hype of Vision and Hulk, like still being full strength in the fight, I think good it could have been great.
SPEAKER_06I think in the set if Hulk did come out in that scene, it would have been super easy for him for Thanos to win because he had almost every stone. Right, right, right. You could have like done the same thing he did in the Hulk Buster thing, have him lose that way.
SPEAKER_03And it would make sense if he couldn't Hulk out after that because he has to be a good one. Yeah, then it would make sense. Right, that would make sense.
SPEAKER_06You're telling me Hulk loses one fight and Marvel hire us.
SPEAKER_03I hate what they do.
SPEAKER_06We're gonna be the ghostwriters.
SPEAKER_11We're gonna save the MCUs.
SPEAKER_05One movie at a time.
SPEAKER_12Mine is as I wish they didn't kill Black Widow for Hawkeye.
SPEAKER_06You think Hawkeye should die?
SPEAKER_12I don't think anyone should die. Well one person has to die. Oh happy ever set.
SPEAKER_14This is my opinion. There you go. That's the different way to get it.
SPEAKER_04Hey, I wish that everybody would just accept Jesus.
SPEAKER_11He should come across.
SPEAKER_05If I can't I realize you might be possible right there, the men are gone.
SPEAKER_03Anyway.
SPEAKER_05Jesus at the final battle. That's right, guys.
SPEAKER_03We catfish you. That's not about the MCU. You listened to an hour and a half about that, and now we're gonna talk about the gospel. Hey, no joke is not.
