Today it's Morgans turn to pick the topics and Lawerence returns to witness our chaos! Every friend group has a language of its own, and ours is apparently built out of Chick-fil-A sauce ratios, a running quote book, and the confidence to say wild things out loud. We kick off with everyone’s go-to order and immediately prove that food preferences are basically personality profiles, especially when someone casually drops “30-count nuggets and a milkshake” for breakfast like it’s normal behavior.
Then Morgan opens the vault: a real quote book full of out-of-context lines we’ve collected for years, and we play “guess who said it” with the kind of quotes that make you laugh first and process later. From there, we pivot into a genuine greatest-album debate where we defend our picks, talk about what makes a record feel timeless, and admit when a soundtrack has our heart.
To keep the chaos rolling, we go rapid-fire on overrated vs underrated takes and try to identify movies from Morgan's Letterboxd reviews with no context, which is harder than it sounds when the reviews are unhinged. We close by pitching SNL audition ideas and sketch characters, including a painfully accurate retail checkout moment that deserves its own skit.
If you like a comedy podcast that feels like a real hang, hit play, subscribe, and share it with a friend who would absolutely belong in our quote book. Listen, leave a review and.... If you'd like to be a guest please comment explaining what you'd bring to the table ;)
Chick-fil-A Orders And Warm-Up
SPEAKER_10Hey guys, welcome back to Just Us Talking. Today is Morgan's episode where she gets to decide the top.
SPEAKER_01Woo!
SPEAKER_07He was so good, we had to bring him back.
SPEAKER_09He stayed all week. He slept near the cockroaches.
SPEAKER_10And my name is Gracie, and my go-to Chick-fil-A order is a five-count chicken and kids meal with the what's it called? Toy for an ice cream. And add in little cookie crumbles. Oh. With honey mustard, yes. Wow. With honey mustard, yes. Honey mustard, yes.
SPEAKER_03Um, my go-to one is their cob salad. Not because I'm trying to be some healthy girl, because I don't usually go that way, but it is so good. They put um crack in there. It's so good.
SPEAKER_11There's something in the red.
SPEAKER_03A red salad is like that. A good one. And they do it well, especially for fast food. So the cob salad?
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_06Maybe you need to try this cob salad.
SPEAKER_03You have to have to actually no, you don't like salad, do you?
SPEAKER_06I just don't.
SPEAKER_09Hey, can you actually say your like real Chick-fil-A order? Don't put them out before. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06No, I was planning on it. Okay, good. That's why I didn't want to go first.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. Um hi, I'm Morgan. I have a rotation, right? But recently I've been absolutely spamming a chicken tender meal. They're always fresh because nobody ever orders them. It's true though, not a lot of people. Any of your sweet tea or a cherry coke?
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_09And then South Polynesian, I think. Sweet. Sweet. Sweet cow.
SPEAKER_10A DC or sweet A.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_10A DC or a sweet tea.
SPEAKER_07Sorry, I just didn't eat it first time. I was confused.
SPEAKER_09I think I hate that chip. I I would say I don't go to Chick-fil-A that often, but we do because that's where our worship team goes after rehearsal. It's a I typically do get the same thing, also because I'm the same thing kind of gal. But I'll get a. Oh, first of all, sorry, this is Tyree. Um I will get a spicy chicken sandwich meal with pepperjack cheese, medium fry, and a root beer. I'm getting the barks.
SPEAKER_02I'm Mary Grace. I have a rotation too, but I feel like most consistently I probably do nuggets, but I think I usually do the parfait, the yogurt parfait instead of fries. And then if I do the kids' meal, I'll usually do the ice cream. Yeah. Oh, my drink. I feel like I'm gonna get so much hate for saying this. But I usually do unsweet tea. Uh-oh. Unsweet tea. Or I'll do like the unsweet tea with the regular lemonade.
SPEAKER_09Hey, we can cut that.
SPEAKER_08Okay, it's okay. Sweet. Sorry. I put that in over it.
SPEAKER_03And the dub over it. Dude. You guys aren't ready. I'm just gonna say that right now. You're not ready.
SPEAKER_06Hey guys, this is David in my usual Chick-fil-A order. It depends. Breakfast or just like any other time of the day. My breakfast usually consists of either th 30 nuggets and a milkshake or breakfast? Yep. Yeah. And then either that or the little 10-piece like mini what are they called? Like the breakfast breakfast. Yeah, and then a milkshake with that. That's my that's if I get it for breakfast for lunch or I guess any other time of the day. 30-count nugget meal with a large fry, then a s regular sandwich with a large fry, a milkshake, and a large lemonade.
SPEAKER_09Anything else?
SPEAKER_06Sometimes a brownie.
SPEAKER_09He is bulky. How much does that have cost?
SPEAKER_06I don't look.
SPEAKER_08And that's why he's not learning. That's what I want to say.
SPEAKER_03He's blogged eating the whole thing.
SPEAKER_09He sent us a vlog, and it was literally the whole video was like, what, like three to five minutes. Yeah, and he ate it all.
SPEAKER_06Because they didn't believe me, because this is when I was like really trying to put on weight. That's right.
SPEAKER_03I would tell them just no person on earth does that.
SPEAKER_06They were like, I don't believe that you do that. So I'd send him a video as I get to work. I'd be like, hey, got this. It's a full 30-count nugget meal and a milkshake. Two minutes later, I send him a video being like, finished it.
SPEAKER_09Two minutes? Zavid can eat like a when we go to Mexican, he'll eat like a what is it called? The burrito California in like less than five minutes. Yeah, he times himself.
SPEAKER_06It's that my record is three minutes and 37 seconds.
SPEAKER_09Oh my god. And my favorite part is when he's telling us this, everyone's like, you're getting a 30 count and a milkshake. And I was like, guys, guys, wait. What kind of milkshake do you get peppermint one?
SPEAKER_01Yes!
SPEAKER_07Yes! Everybody hates on it. It's so good. It's the best one.
SPEAKER_01Overrated. I agree.
SPEAKER_09Guys, Lawrence is not on this episode.
SPEAKER_04Lawrence, my Chick-fil-A order is the four-count strip meal with a large fry and a water with four barbecue sauces. A water?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I'm a strictly water.
SPEAKER_06Oh, I forgot to say my swatches.
SPEAKER_01Me too.
SPEAKER_06I forgot the swatches, guys. I forgot to say my swatches.
SPEAKER_09How many sauces do you use for a 30 count?
SPEAKER_07Six.
SPEAKER_09That's bad. That's bad. She's got one plus one is two.
SPEAKER_01And this is just a talking.
SPEAKER_08Chat, did I just say I'm so excited?
SPEAKER_00We're excited. We're excited too.
SPEAKER_11Why do you always that you just recently spamming chat? Yeah, I have.
SPEAKER_07I love that. Dude, I love saying chat.
SPEAKER_09It's just so funny to me. I'm sure it'll wear off and I'll look back to this and be like, brother. So it's my episode. Alright.
Guess Who Said It Quote Book
SPEAKER_09First segment I wanted to do was Guess Who Said It Quote Book Edition. Just so you know. I've been keeping a quote book since what? It would have been 2021. It's it was our sophomore 22. Yeah, it was our sophomore year of college. I'll go back and see when this started. Oh yeah, I think I can. I will. Yeah. Anyway, anything that I find funny from all our friends, but I wanted to read some off and have you guys guess who said it. I'm gonna try and keep it. I'll keep it to people in this room. So I literally I'm so upset because I just scrolled up to be right back to the top. One second. Sorry. Because I know how I have someone here that is that should be in the same as I'm gonna go. Look, I was gonna give these and I saw Terry's first quote on here, and I was like, this is going to be so excited. Oh, I'll say I'll actually say that because I wasn't gonna do it because I thought you were gonna know it. But the first one is like, yeah, they leave the little booty parsley on the seat.
SPEAKER_08Booty parsley. You don't even have cheap toilet paper.
SPEAKER_01I hate that so much.
SPEAKER_09I also there's gonna be like, if there's multiple people in the room that have said it back to back, it would be person A, person B that you can guess for. This one is insane. Alright. I get an intrusive thought every time I pass someone sitting still in a wheelchair to turn off the handbrake.
SPEAKER_03What are you the only one who's she's the only one who's not? She's just like, it's even Tyree?
SPEAKER_11Morgan!
SPEAKER_09I was like, I'll dox myself first, and then I'll move. I forgot I forgot that you're an option. Like I would never actually do it, but it does the thought does cross my mind every time. Every time. Every time I'm like, what if I do turn it off?
SPEAKER_04That's a hilarious.
SPEAKER_09You feel people. This is a great. Okay, next one. My make-a-wish was to be vice president.
SPEAKER_10As in a fact, my make-a-wish.
SPEAKER_09Or no, sorry. It was the situation was hypothetical. It was like if I had a make-a-wish, my make-a-wish was gonna be to be vice president.
SPEAKER_02I think it was Tyree.
SPEAKER_06I think it was Kenneth.
SPEAKER_09Kenna? It was Tyree. I think we're playing some game. Or we were playing that job. We were playing that job job. Oh, yeah. Yeah, fun employment. Fun employment. Yeah. That was funny. This is the table for people who can sit.
SPEAKER_10This is a table for people who can sit.
SPEAKER_09Come on, I've got Kennedy.
SPEAKER_06That's gotta be Kennedy.
SPEAKER_03Kennedy.
SPEAKER_06Is that Kennedy? That's either Kennedy or Kennedy.
SPEAKER_03I said that when Daniel had his surgery, he's like, what are he was like, what are you guys doing? And he can't sit down on the table. I was like, oh, this is actually a table for people who can sit. Yeah. And he was like, he was so offended and he walked away and I was like, oh, is that too far?
SPEAKER_07He was so sensitive. He literally would not be involved for like weeks.
SPEAKER_09Okay, this next one. Reverse Michael Jackson.
SPEAKER_07That was me.
SPEAKER_09You're not the most important. Oh, the one who gave me hate for asking that question.
SPEAKER_11I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_09It was just I actually cannot physically remember the context that happened. I just remember David excitedly clapping, going, reverse Michael Jackson!
SPEAKER_01Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. So I was treating it like it was like a competition.
SPEAKER_09It was a Lord's pool that was really funny. I don't think I can say this. Well now we know it's Lawrence. No, I know. That's what I'm saying. No, it was that security K trip party, you're like, MLK would have loved this. That's perfect. But it was like everyone's talking right and we were just standing there in silence next to each other. He's like, man. Okay. When people use your bit, it's like getting crowns in heaven. You not me. Tyree. Tyree. It was Tyree. Oh my gosh. Whoa. Anyone else in the club want Chick-fil-A? Tyree.
SPEAKER_06Gracie.
SPEAKER_10No.
unknownIt was you.
SPEAKER_09She said no.
SPEAKER_06She mentions the club all the time.
SPEAKER_09I think that was when we had that conversation. If you're like, I've never been to the club. If I was there, I'd be like, anybody else want to remember that. You guys hold it to Hannah Latana. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01Sorry.
SPEAKER_06I think that's gonna be a good one.
SPEAKER_10I got one. Yeah? I'll make your innie an outie.
SPEAKER_03Oh no. Cut that out. Is that somebody in this room?
SPEAKER_10It's not a belly button. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_06Morgan. What was the one you were laughing at that you were gonna say?
SPEAKER_03You should have filtered these in person like that's what I meant to do, and I totally forgot.
SPEAKER_09Let me say it. I was like, oh I'm so sorry. This is so much to cut. I'll just do like two or three. No, you no no. Let's keep going.
SPEAKER_10Do you have one that you want to throw there? I would I would domesticate an otter. Wait! I would own a domesticated otter.
SPEAKER_09Morgan said that.
SPEAKER_06David Kennedy.
SPEAKER_09David. I feel like you were saying something about otters the other day.
SPEAKER_10I don't think it was Morgan.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. This is one of my personal things. Your name can be in the book of life, but it cannot be in the small group group chat.
SPEAKER_08Wait, what? That was you.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_09It was very, very great. Yes. We were talking for the longest time our small group, like, you couldn't be in the text message group chat if you had a Samsung because it would turn the message screen. And then it got to the point where like, hey guys, this is like preventing people from coming to our small group. We put on groupy, she's like, Your name could be in the book of life. It could not be in the small group group chat. It's a good one. Wait, I have one. She's not technically in this room, but. Why have you never let me cheer?
SPEAKER_03She loves the name drop.
SPEAKER_08Did she listen?
SPEAKER_03Yes, she listened to her. Oh my gosh. She'll come to me being like, I heard you said that people who don't like water are whatever, whatever. She's like, you're you're gonna get it for that. I'm like, okay.
SPEAKER_09Stop.
SPEAKER_10Vail, I agree with you. I love you.
SPEAKER_09I have one, I want to say it was sung to the tune of this song. It was like R I P that toilet. That was said, hard stop.
SPEAKER_06That was somebody in this room.
SPEAKER_09Yeah.
SPEAKER_07You I don't know. I don't know. Actually.
SPEAKER_09Any guess, random guess. I'm gonna go David.
SPEAKER_03I don't know.
SPEAKER_09It was Lori.
SPEAKER_07I didn't even know he was on the list.
SPEAKER_09I have no idea what the context was. I'm wondering if it was like, oh, like July Celestia or something like that.
SPEAKER_10I feel safe to lick my fingers in front of you. Hey!
SPEAKER_09She said, Oh the uranium has a private account. Tyree. That's what I I'm quoting a lot. The uranium has a private account.
SPEAKER_06Tyree's just so quotable, that's the problem. She has a lot.
SPEAKER_09It's because I it's my lack of social awareness, guys.
SPEAKER_10I have one. Listen, my pants are unbuttoned under this blanket.
SPEAKER_08That sounds like great. I hope. What? It could have been me. I don't know. David, relax. It's a girl thing, you wouldn't get it.
SPEAKER_09So as long as you have to unbutton her pants. Oh, um. Oh yeah, he has that red hot Shili Peppers tattoo. Gracie. So good. Yeah, that was about David's radio head tattoo.
SPEAKER_08She was not really bummer. So good. What?
SPEAKER_09Oh gosh. It's either overcomable or unovercomable. I don't know. No, that was actually your mom, Kennedy, that said that. Really? Yeah. And I like requesting your money. Because I have that thing where I repeat everybody, so I repeated it, and Morgan like laughed at me.
SPEAKER_03We'll put a slash. Anytime I said something funny around Brooks, he's like, put a slash with my name. Like, no, it was just me. It was just me.
SPEAKER_09Either uppercover or undercover. I was like, what? Oh my god. Washing yourself is a losing fight? Ask us a question. It sounds like David. Yeah, I agree. It was Mary Gray.
unknownI can't remember that.
SPEAKER_07I beat the allegations. I beat the allegations.
SPEAKER_09Somebody had just broken up with somebody or something. I can't remember what happened, right? Or I can't remember what happened, but they were like, just you know, it was a losing fight. You're like washing yourself. It's a losing fight.
SPEAKER_02That sounds valid, whatever argument I was making.
SPEAKER_09Sounds like she wasn't wrong. Oh gosh. Sorry, I'm trying to skip through these. Oh my god, please. I have one. Maybe she lives. A walk to remember but she lives.
SPEAKER_06I want to say it again.
SPEAKER_09A walk to remember but she lives.
SPEAKER_02Morgan. Yeah.
SPEAKER_09Oh what?
SPEAKER_06If it's something like it's something really weird, it's Morgan.
SPEAKER_09If it's niche, it's Morgan. If it's very niche. Oh my gosh, I'm sorry. It's okay. Take a chat. Gracie, if you have it, you gotta shout out. Okay. That's well, that's the issue I'm running into. I'm so sorry. She's crazy. Okay, there I gotta give connects first. Okay. The song in question in this quote is the pentatonics version of I Need Your Love. Okay. If I had to belly dance to a song, it would be this one.
SPEAKER_06Grace. It's one of these two.
SPEAKER_09That's right.
SPEAKER_10And it was Gracie. No, I haven't heard it. Have you heard Sneaker El? No sneaker night?
SPEAKER_09Yeah. Wait, the next gadget. Yeah.
SPEAKER_10I have something to tell you about that song happening.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, you can do that.
SPEAKER_10I got some wet.
SPEAKER_09Oh, yeah. I was that song. I want to watch Hamilton, but in a rom-com way. It was crazy as well. I love him. Wait, what? We share that love.
SPEAKER_03I love his story. Hamilton is just so great. It's so great. Never seen it. She watched it on the fourth. I watched Sam Ron instead. Oh you've got to watch it.
SPEAKER_09We did indeed. Oh, uh, I have a good one. They're tight. Okay, technically, not in this room. And that's why I drink my gum.
SPEAKER_10I know who it is. I did too, I saw it.
SPEAKER_09On three. One, two, three. Even gray. Even Gray. Eyebrahead in that quote book.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, she has access. I remember it because she came.
SPEAKER_03She came to me and she's like, Gray just made his debut into my quote book. I was like, what did he say? It's better because he did like a commercial voice. It's like, and that's why I drink my gum.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. Okay, last thing. Oh, wait, two more. Okay, I found a good, sorry. All taper, no fade. That was Kennedy. It's a classic Kennedy. I feel like we've quotes banger of a quote. That was the first one for you, Kennedy. Yeah, yeah. I think it was.
SPEAKER_03Sorry, Ryan.
SPEAKER_09Hey. So the context. Cashing strays, cashing strays. This is just a situation. This will be the last thing that we do for the. Do you want to do that?
SPEAKER_10This person said, please pin drop while I'm giving birth.
SPEAKER_06Not me.
SPEAKER_09That's fair. Morgan.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_10Who's pin dropping?
SPEAKER_09You. This was, by the way, we were in a doorroom and Gracie was actively learning how to pin drop. And I was like, you know what, please? You know, why don't I give birth one day? Just do it. You gotta be there for it. Can you do it? Just a pin drop. Oh gosh. Okay, last one. This is a situation, it's not a quote. Okay. This is too good. For context, on a phone call gets taken off of hold, and this person was singing bad romance full chested on the phone when I removed them from hold. Who in this room? I didn't know exactly who this is.
SPEAKER_03David.
SPEAKER_09And D. But it wasn't like he was like, I want you to love it. He was like up there, too. He was like, I want you to love it.
SPEAKER_07No music playing by the other car.
SPEAKER_09No, nothing nothing wrong in the car.
SPEAKER_01I was like, uh, David's time. It's funny.
SPEAKER_06She had me on hold for a while. That was like the third song.
SPEAKER_09We went through songs from Oh gosh. Okay. Well, that was the coolest thing. And that's my fault, Jack. That was just touch. And that was that was it. That was that was the whole thing. Guys, we're so funny. Next one.
Defending The Greatest Album Ever
SPEAKER_09I want everyone to defend what they think their fit like the favorite album of all time, or what they think is the greatest album of all time. Oh, that's so hard. That is the question. I'll go first then. But so for me, I think Tapestry, Carol King peak album. I literally when I heard hers, like any of her music for the first time, that was like we've talked about it, like the most foundational, like I love music moment of my life. That album, 10 out of 10, every single song on it, it's peak. It's so chill. It's like you want to be like, it's like a rainy day and you're like on a couch. Oh, I forgot about the timer. Yeah. Sorry, we age of one minute. Um, and it's just the most like cozy album. That's just the general parts of it that I love. Actually, like legitimately structure of it. The writing is incredible, the music is peak, insane piano, the entire album. It's like one of those albums where it's like, you know, when there's like a song or two on something that you're just like, hey, this doesn't fit this at all. Like, like, what are we doing here? Not the case. And then it like wraps up with like you make me feel like a natural woman. And it's her version because she wrote it and then gave it to Aretha Franklin, and then she sings it on a thing, and it's just the most like, oh, it's peak. It's peak. And you can also hear like James Taylor plays a guitar on it. You can hear him in the background. It's just the culmination of like somebody who did a lot of songwriting for other artists and is like, you know what, like this is the album that like she puts together, and it like is one of the highest-selling albums of all time. So let's see. I would say okay. So this one's kind of niche. The Carpenter's Christmas album. Good.
SPEAKER_02It just is the best to listen to, even not during Christmas time, but like it's like such a nostalgic, like Christmas like compilation of songs to listen to.
SPEAKER_09Like they have fun songs, they have like slower songs, and it's like if you want to feel everything that's good during Christmas time, you just have to listen to that one. But for non-Christmas ones, and it's so funny, Willie Nelson Nelson's Red Headed Stranger favorite. It's so good. And I don't, I'm not gonna explain it because it's just like it.
SPEAKER_08It just needs to be crying in the rain.
SPEAKER_09Period. Come on. Too good. Too good. Very good, hard yet.
SPEAKER_02Hmm. This is kind of hard because I feel like I just kind of have different songs that I like from a bunch of different genres, and I just kind of pick and choose the songs I like, and I don't always have like a full album that I'm like I don't know.
SPEAKER_06She LARP's music.
SPEAKER_02I pick and choose what I like across different albums and different genres, but marmalade posting.
SPEAKER_09That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I feel like this is kind of like cliche. I don't know if that's the right word, but Ella Langley's dandelion album, I really like that album, right? I mean, I feel like everyone is kind of into her stuff right now. On their Langley grinds. Yeah, on their Langley grinds. But I also have been listening to a lot of Russell Dickerson. I like a lot of his songs. So I don't know. For a more uncommon answer, I used to listen to the Isaacs a lot. They're this brother and sister group, and they did a lot of a cappella together, and their album naturally, I think. I guess that is one album that I would listen to a lot because I liked how they harmonized and everything. So great answer.
SPEAKER_06It's a hard, hard. Weezer, radio. New album. Um my top three would probably have to be number one, would obviously be Okay Computer. I don't think there's a single song on that album that isn't.
SPEAKER_03Who wrote that? Radio Hot Shoppers. Red Hot Sleepers, actually.
SPEAKER_06Ha ha. Second one would probably have to be by Tyler the creator, uh, Igor. That was a fantastic album. And then third one would be Bruno Mars. It's like the DuWops and Hooligans. That's such a great album. I don't think like every single one of those albums, I don't think there's a single sketch. I I love every single one of those.
SPEAKER_04So I'm outing myself. I'm not a music person at all. If I listen to the same five songs, the rest of my life, I think I'd be content. That being said, my album is a soundtrack from I will argue the best sequel ever. I know. I was saying the soundtrack from Shrek 2. He knows Paul. Living Lavina Loca. Okay, songs.
unknownCome on.
SPEAKER_07That's the best answer. That's the correct answer. That is the correct answer.
SPEAKER_09Bad Michael Jackson, no. Um Shrek 2 soundtrack.
SPEAKER_06I thought he was gonna say Guardians of Galaxy 2, and I would have agreed with it. Like, but then he Shrek 2? Yeah, that's the answer. That's the answer.
SPEAKER_10Um, mine is Adele 25. That was so close to being mine. Hello? Yeah. Uh the shower and you should be like, I'll be like, Is it my love? Yeah. I miss you when you're young, remedy. Water under the bridge, in the dark, million years ago, all I asked. That's the booth.
SPEAKER_09Yeah.
SPEAKER_10And Iris McCase. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Fantastic album.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. Yeah. I will say I thought of uh asterisk just because to this day there are still songs, like it's probably like my number three song, like for my Spotify rap, Hamilton. Like, there's so many songs still on there, and it's like we're just also good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I gotta steer away from soundtracks or I think all the music classes. But okay, for me, for just my favorite, not that I think it's the greatest of all time. I was going to do Science and the Faith by the script, but I was thinking about my defense, and I was like, ah, there's just two songs that I really think if they had put those in there, then it would have been the greatest album, greatest yearning album ever. But so I switched it. And I actually really love Stick Season Forever. Yeah, good. That one specifically, when there's like 30 plus songs, and like he gets all of them. It's just it's so good. And like I love sad songs, but some are like too sad. This is like enough to where like it doesn't make me upset, but I love listening to it, and it's just like so diverse. All the songs and the people he gets to feature. And just lyrically, like I'm more of a lyric person than a music person, and the lyrics there are just so beautiful, and I like it. Like, I never get tired of it. And I think that's when you know it's your favorite. Like, I'm not gonna do it.
SPEAKER_09If you had to choose a soundtrack though, I wanna know. Can we actually let's go around and do soundtrack? Laurence, you can pick a second one if you want.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, sure.
SPEAKER_03I I might have to go Hamilton. But second is Lamez. That's my favorite musical. That's my favorite musical, but I think the soundtrack in Hamilton is better. Love it.
SPEAKER_09If we're going musical, I love Waitress. I literally I can't. I love that show so much. Good. But then in general, there is a movie called Begin Again. I love that movie so much. Song Today soundtrack. It has it's like Kira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, Hailey Sniffel. It's so good, but they wrote all original music for the movie, and it's all so good. It's very like I don't know how to describe it, like more encoded. Yeah, if you can imagine. It's like singer-songwriter like indie, but like they're in New York like they record the whole album outside the movie, and it's like so cool. Oh, it's peak. I'll say obviously Hamilton, but I like as far as musicals, like I think The Wizard of Oz. It's just classic. I actually have not. And I know, I know, guys. I'm black. I know. It is so good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_11Get up, damn, get it, damn.
SPEAKER_09Um stop the episode right now.
SPEAKER_02I think the greatest showman. I love the song. Like, there's just so many like really good, wholesome songs in there. Oh, wait, White Christmas. I forgot.
SPEAKER_09There's so many good ones I can't choose over the hedge cards.
SPEAKER_06That was a good one. I'm not gonna lie, that was my second choice.
SPEAKER_09You're kidding me. I'm not even joking.
SPEAKER_06I loved that one. Guardians, all three Guardians of the Galaxy movies, easily. I mean, obviously, they're great. I didn't watch a whole lot of musicals as a kid. I will say Grace Showman is was one that I actually did enjoy. But also La La Land.
SPEAKER_09I was even thinking like I'm surprised you didn't say that.
SPEAKER_03I hey I was thinking more like Broadway musical. That's what I was within my mind.
SPEAKER_09I know La La Land is the answer. Yeah. It is, it is.
SPEAKER_04Shrek two, please.
SPEAKER_01And another one for the gentleman. Shrek musical? Shrek Shreken Cream sheets.
SPEAKER_04Shreking. I love Shrek 1. That's especially my mind. Me and Chris saw the Lion King recently. Good. I remember sitting there watching, I think I shed a few tears. I was just like, This is awesome. And I think it's like childhood nostalgia.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, yeah. For context, though. They saw it when they came like to do the Broadway show. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh not just watching the movie, but also valid.
SPEAKER_10Oh I was like, yeah, what do you mean? Yes.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh. Sorry. I just thought of like talking about crying like during a movie. I don't know if you the all of the songs from the spirit movie. I don't know if you I don't know if you guys have seen it, but it's this like cartoon horse movie. But like literally, I think all the songs in that movie make me cry, but they are really good. I literally I totally forgot Tarzan.
SPEAKER_09That is the best uh hot take. That might be the best Disney movie. Yeah, I don't know. Tangle's my favorite. That's not ridiculous to say, but that's not ridiculous to say. It's so good. Sorry. Great, did you want to say it's a good thing? Brother Bear? Look, Phil Collins needs to get back on his soundtrack crying. I don't care what it's for. I need look, movie in my heart makes me cry every time I hear it. Huh? Oh. I see, I wasn't thinking like composing. And that's it. If it was that way, it would be like Lola Land in the holiday up there for like because Han Zimmer.
SPEAKER_03But musical, it's just different. There so many categories, guys.
SPEAKER_10Mine is Mamma Mia. Good. Sounds good too. And like I saw it live, and I was just so good. Love. I just love it.
SPEAKER_09Love it. Amazing. Very
Overrated Or Underrated Rapid Fire
SPEAKER_09good. Um, so the next section I had was rapid fire overrated, underrated. Basically, I'm just gonna throw stuff out there. Everyone either I don't should we do like thumbs up, thumbs down, and we can like discuss it after. I don't ever want to answer at the same time.
SPEAKER_08What do I know? I don't ever do like saying it. Yay or nay. You say what it is. No, you can't explain to just say. Yeah, yay or nay.
SPEAKER_03That's why I was like, I want to like adjust how. Are we not like it has to be over-under? You can't say properly rated. Yeah, over-under. Yeah.
SPEAKER_10Overrated, underrated. And it's what the world what the world thinks is we need to say, oh, that's overrated. Okay, yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_09Sorry.
SPEAKER_06That's how it works.
SPEAKER_09The notebook. Overrated.
SPEAKER_10Uh overrated.
SPEAKER_04Overrated. I've never seen it, but I'm gonna say overrated.
SPEAKER_10I've never seen it, but I'll say overrated.
SPEAKER_04Unfortunately, I have to go overrated.
SPEAKER_10Overrated.
SPEAKER_09Overrated.
SPEAKER_06It is so overrated.
SPEAKER_09Beyonce. I'm in a tough predicament. You are.
SPEAKER_01Mary Grace, what's it? Hey, Mary. Mary does not have to answer this question.
SPEAKER_09She got passed. I'll say right now I think she's kind of overrated. Listen, Lemonade, though, she was a fears. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Overrated.
SPEAKER_06I would say the country album made her overrated.
SPEAKER_03You can't use say overrated. Give your reason.
SPEAKER_01Hey, my bad can't give their reason. I said for it. So just name it.
SPEAKER_09I'll say overrated.
SPEAKER_10Overrated? I don't know.
SPEAKER_09Overrated. I would agree overrated. But I do agree. Lemonade. Lemonade. She said it was. Yeah. I'd say it is like rated closer to overrated than to overrated. I don't know. But I I also just kind of like, yeah, over a little bit. Okay, pizza. Let's just do it. Let's go away. Um underrated. Underrated.
SPEAKER_06Underrated. Overrated.
SPEAKER_03Overrated. I have to go underrated.
SPEAKER_08Overrated. I overleft.
SPEAKER_03If we could pick properly, I think it belongs there, but since we can't.
SPEAKER_09La La Land. You can say it. You can say it.
SPEAKER_08Overrated. It's okay.
SPEAKER_02It's okay. Hey, speak your truth. I'm gonna say overrated.
SPEAKER_06Underrated.
SPEAKER_04I will also say underrated. Underrated.
SPEAKER_03Underrated! David! You can't do that, David. Dude, and they're not gonna see us. I can see you. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_09Oh my sorry. My list that I had literally overdid. Okay. Never mind, it's not. You got it. I'm just gonna go off the tap. It's fine. Coffee.
SPEAKER_02Overrated. I know I can't say anything. I'm just gonna say underrated.
SPEAKER_06Heavily overrated.
SPEAKER_04Underrated. Overrated.
SPEAKER_03Overrated. Underrated. Oh, I have to. Oh, you might have to.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_09There it is. Sorry. Alright, New Year's Eve. Oh. Just the holiday, New Year's Eve. Underrated.
SPEAKER_01Overrated.
SPEAKER_06Underrated.
SPEAKER_04Overrated.
SPEAKER_01Underrated.
SPEAKER_03Underrated. Overrated.
SPEAKER_09I I love New Year's Eve, but I also feel like it's just I if anything, I'd say rated to overrated.
SPEAKER_06But like I guess it just depends on the experience.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, she'll be me every time. Hey, okay. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. Listen, what I'm saying. I'm saying the social discourse around New Year's Eve is overrated to me. For me, experiencing New Year's Eve, I love it because we do a beach trip every time with our friend. And so that's peak, right? But then everyone would be like, I was like, oh, I can't wait for New Year's. Like, I can't wait. New Year's resolution. Yeah, and I'm just kind of like, bruh. New Year's resolutions are stupid. You can also make it change any day of the year. Hear me out. You don't want to wait. Like, we can just do this.
SPEAKER_06What does the Michael Jackson song say?
SPEAKER_09She's got it.
SPEAKER_07I'm not gonna lie. Not the person I expected to sing it.
SPEAKER_09She's committed. She's committed. The Office. Who Oh my gosh. Underrated. Underrated.
SPEAKER_06Underrated.
SPEAKER_04Underrated.
SPEAKER_09Don't do it.
SPEAKER_07You can't explain yourself.
SPEAKER_10Because people make it their personality, and that's ridiculous.
SPEAKER_07That's fair.
SPEAKER_10But I do like it.
SPEAKER_09Underrated. It's insane coming from me, but I yeah, over. Look, it's it's true. When people make it their personality, it is like rather than. If I don't rated, I would say rated. Yes. I think it's deserves what it has. The thing is, it's specific, you know. There's specific jokes in the obs I think are underrated, but I think in general, it just depends. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04You know. Yeah, I watched it for the first time, well, what, six months ago? Yeah, you think. Oh, really? I've never seen it. I thought it was overrated, then I started watching it. I'm like, oh, there's got to be a good one. Yeah.
SPEAKER_10I showed them like the best episode.
SPEAKER_04The Jim and Pam like love story.
SPEAKER_10Well, no, but that's them like diversity day. I showed you um. Did you show them stress relief? Dinner party, stress relief, dinner party.
SPEAKER_09So good. Okay.
Utensils Debate And Car Chaos
SPEAKER_09This is gonna be like uh I can we can do this with the last one if you want. It's gonna be like a classification of things. It's gonna be three things you could do over, under, properly. All of them combined? Yeah. So for example, this this this one right here, hold on, say it with me. Say it with me. It's the same genre, same genre. Utensils. Fork knife spoon. Overrated, underrated, rated. You know what I mean? Like, I thought it was only over under. We can't do other. Which question is? No.
SPEAKER_03Well because she's doing three options. Yeah. One has to go.
SPEAKER_04You don't use one option for one option for each thing.
SPEAKER_09Like, so like. One is an open. It's like you're cheering it, like one, two, and three. Or we can move on to the next thing.
SPEAKER_06Move on, because that's a dumb question.
SPEAKER_03Okay, okay. You are this close to being kicked out of my mouth.
SPEAKER_06How are you gonna eat a steak with a spoon?
SPEAKER_11Oh my gosh. I love spoon!
SPEAKER_07Where did the s where did the steak I'm imagining it says like kill kids Mary kind of thing? That's my kid. If you overrate something, that's kicking out of the thing.
SPEAKER_09In no setting type.
SPEAKER_07I know, but that's how I'm proud of it.
SPEAKER_01They're all food.
SPEAKER_07They're all perfectly rated. They're all perfectly rated because you need them all.
SPEAKER_03No, a fork is way more versatile. I was gonna say, let me ask you.
SPEAKER_07How are you gonna eat a cereal with a fork? How you go, you know, you go make a bowl of cereal and try to eat it with a fork. And I will! That's not with the fork!
SPEAKER_09That's not with the fork! Here we are, here we go, here we are, right? How can you eat a steak with a spoon? Maybe choose knife. You don't have to choose food. You have to eat this. You're reading it. What do you mean? How am I gonna eat ice cream with a knife? I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Anything else?
SPEAKER_07I hate this. This might be the most heated we've ever gotten.
SPEAKER_11That requires a spork.
SPEAKER_03So that was just a pretty example of what he's gonna do. You're not asked to actually do that. No, we are.
SPEAKER_01And I know.
SPEAKER_09Fork. Fork is overrated. Knife is properly rated. Spoon is underrated. Because I have even said the spoon, David. Hard times, okay? Hard times, you don't have any clean dishes. Never once did I say you couldn't use it again. Never once didn't say it.
SPEAKER_01You're just rating it.
SPEAKER_09I just it's overrated, you can never touch it again. Five by nine. Because you can do everything, and this is what I was saying for underrated Beyonce.
SPEAKER_11What do you mean? I'll never touch her again.
SPEAKER_09You can do everything with a spoon or your hands.
SPEAKER_11How am I supposed to solve some Beyonce at the gym? You can't do that.
SPEAKER_09David uh I have to agree.
SPEAKER_02Probably whatever I say.
SPEAKER_01Let's just say hi.
SPEAKER_07I agree with Terry.
SPEAKER_04I don't think I've ever told you this. There are times when I'm like at home by myself. And I'm feeling lazy. Like I'll just this is so embarrassing. I just don't use utensils. I was eating with my hands.
SPEAKER_01But like what kind of like cereal.
SPEAKER_04No like this has like soup. I'll be eating your rice. I was just trying to get out of my hands. Oh, that's really chicken, like anything. That seems hard.
SPEAKER_06No, that's normal.
SPEAKER_03No, it's just.
SPEAKER_04Your hands?
SPEAKER_03It's kind of messy, yeah.
SPEAKER_06No, I just mean.
SPEAKER_03Your hands are the spinning. That's not very practical. It's more work to do that. Of course.
unknownThat's fine, though.
SPEAKER_09There are times like at the last apartment that I used to work or live at. Right, like there are just times where dishes do not get done. So there's one time I ate cereal with one of those long what are they called, Morgan? The long mixing spoons. Like all the way out here. Hey, hard times. Okay, we're gonna go car related, just for David.
SPEAKER_06No, no, skip it.
SPEAKER_09Gas, brakes, steering wheel. You gotta get rid of one.
SPEAKER_06Brakes. Brakes. Think about it. Take your foot off the gas, car slows down. You just gotta be smart enough.
SPEAKER_09Wherever you want to go.
SPEAKER_06So that's just how Morgan drives already.
SPEAKER_09No, that's how I park, David. Oh yeah, you're right. I think we have to leave it at that. Next one, next thing. That was funny. Oh my gosh. I've never felt so much rage under my body. What do you mean?
SPEAKER_06I was angry.
SPEAKER_01You know.
SPEAKER_09Good
Guess The Movie From Reviews
SPEAKER_09night. Okay. So the next one is I'm gonna pull up my letterbox and read reviews with no context. And I would like you to guess what movie it is because I was given the free will to do that. Love it. So good.
SPEAKER_06Giggling already.
SPEAKER_09Alright. This is cheating rage bait.
SPEAKER_06Notebook.
SPEAKER_09Propaganda. Propaganda. Cheating rage bait? Cheating, rage bait, propaganda. Dear John.
SPEAKER_06The notebook.
SPEAKER_09You're on the right track. Cheating, rage bait, propaganda. I feel like I've There is a second sentence I can read, but it will like kind of give away.
SPEAKER_02I don't know, read it. Well, I wasn't saying it. I thought you had said that about the notebook too, but that is it just also is.
SPEAKER_09I'm sure that's all you're right. This is a different movie, not notebook. Okay. That is cheating rage rate.
SPEAKER_07Cheating.
SPEAKER_09Rage rate. My poetry. The second sentence of this is should have married Massimo. Oh. Is it my movie, J Lo Wedding, The Wedding Planner? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I love that movie. Honestly, Massimo.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I haven't seen that movie in a while. I've never seen it. We'll watch it. It's good. It's so good.
SPEAKER_10Honestly, but yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_09Massimo. Hello? He's cute, but like Massimo's from Italy. Hello? Like, come on. It's Alex Correct. Hey, hear me out. Okay, so nobody hears Watch Grace. Hey, tough ground. Alright. D1 yearner, number one overall draft pick.
SPEAKER_06What?
SPEAKER_09D1 yearner.
SPEAKER_06There can be so many people. Is there more to it? Is that it?
SPEAKER_09There's I'll read the second one. If you want to do it.
SPEAKER_03I didn't think that because it was just football related?
SPEAKER_09There's this. What?
SPEAKER_06Is the guy built big?
SPEAKER_09What? Because you said number one trash. D1 yearner, number one overall draft pick.
SPEAKER_06Wait, movie or TV show. Wait, Morgan, is this only movies?
SPEAKER_09Yes.
SPEAKER_06Oh.
SPEAKER_09Okay, second sentence I have on here. Daisy is genuinely my biggest.
SPEAKER_10That's face! Okay, yes, give me the outfit. Yeah, we should be able to get it. She's my outfit.
SPEAKER_06I haven't seen that movie in so long.
SPEAKER_09The most 2000s movie to ever 2000s. That's it. She's very big. These are yes. She's girls. No. Oh, Charlie's Angels? No. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Sister Hall of Traveling Pants.
SPEAKER_01Good guesses, ladies. Yes! You will.
SPEAKER_09Okay. I Joseph shall swaddle this baby. I Joseph shall swaddle this baby. That is a quote from the video.
SPEAKER_10Oh my gosh. Four Christmases? Yes. Good. Grace. That's right.
SPEAKER_09Okay. Had to adjust my rating of Hood Wings because I couldn't bear this being at the same level as that movie. Oh my goodness. The Hood Winx gives you no clue. I will tell you. Great movie. Came out last year and it is a rom com.
SPEAKER_04Wait, what?
SPEAKER_09No, you didn't watch that.
SPEAKER_04Wait, say it one more time. Last?
SPEAKER_09Had to adjust my rating of Hood Wings because I couldn't bear this being at the same level as that movie.
SPEAKER_06It was a rom-com that came out last year? What's a rom command?
SPEAKER_02In a theater vacation movie that y'all were talking about? No. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Did it come out in theaters or was it like on a streaming show?
SPEAKER_09It was in theaters.
SPEAKER_04Was it that movie y'all saw together? You left and it was Bunts?
SPEAKER_09Yeah. Regretting You. You left? No, we we watched Regretting You. I watched it during that movie.
SPEAKER_10But then Girls and Doctor were like, it's just soccer. And I was like, did we watch Yummy to the Yummy to the case?
SPEAKER_03Shark Tails. Shark Tales.
SPEAKER_09This is what my dreams look like when I take that in Girl.
SPEAKER_00Spy Kids.
SPEAKER_09Oh kids. Great guesses. Great guesses. Keep going. I will you want to hint? Yeah, it is animated. Good.
SPEAKER_06Angry Birds.
SPEAKER_09No.
SPEAKER_06Great guesses.
SPEAKER_09Animated? Zootopia.
SPEAKER_062005. Shark Tales.
SPEAKER_09No. Great guesses. Oh man. Is that right track? Yes.
SPEAKER_06Not a guess girl?
SPEAKER_09Over the head? Nope. Frig. Frig. Frig. We have mentioned it already in this room. Monsters of the movie. Such a good movie. Such a good movie. I'll watch that. They were high when they made that movie. Literally. Is that where uh bit-a-da? Ba-da-b-a-da-da-da. Please fun fact me. I am the Billy Gomer Pudwing. Somebody write that down. Hey, somebody get that.
SPEAKER_06Put that one in the cover list.
SPEAKER_09My fault. Oh my gosh. Simply put, if it has Bridget Menler in it, it's five out of five. Lemonade mouth. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Wait, what?
SPEAKER_09Lemonade mouth.
SPEAKER_03Lemonade mouth.
SPEAKER_09There's no way you don't know lemonade mouth data.
SPEAKER_06I do. Sorry.
SPEAKER_09No, you're looking up right now.
SPEAKER_06No, I'm trying to look up remembering. Was it called Remembering You?
SPEAKER_09Regretting. Regretting You. Regretting You. Yeah, it was not. I've never heard of it. Is it calling Hoover Oh wait?
SPEAKER_06No, I did hear about it. I heard those movies terrible.
SPEAKER_09It was, it's what we're saying. You heard it from us. And that's what they said. You probably did. Hey, you probably did. Because I was so upset. Okay. I would like to personally thank whoever came up with that mirror scene, feeding me since childhood for real. Wait, what? Who said it on this? Mirror scene? You know what? Now that I say that without any context, Harry Potter. No, I said I would like to personally thank whoever came up with that one mirror scene, feeding me since childhood for real.
SPEAKER_06I feel like it's something freaky.
SPEAKER_09Is it like and no? No. Is that like Cinderella or like Maleficent?
SPEAKER_11Oh my gosh, this is the Gomez one! Yes! Yeah!
SPEAKER_09I love that scene. Oh that's insane.
SPEAKER_10I got you. What? It's Selena Gomez.
SPEAKER_07What are you talking about?
SPEAKER_10It's still another Snorella story.
SPEAKER_11Oh, wait, I've seen that one. How about you listen when we talk? I can't, but five of you are talking at the same time!
SPEAKER_08You're women!
SPEAKER_01Do you have another control? Firmly grasping! Okay.
SPEAKER_03Firmly grasping. One more, maybe?
SPEAKER_09Shorter, shorter. No.
SPEAKER_06Three more.
SPEAKER_09Okay. I'm trying to find I'm just trying to find a good one to like wrap it up. That every movie.
SPEAKER_10I don't want to buy it. It's an Amazon Prime. Yeah.
SPEAKER_09Okay. I actually don't think I've ever cried harder at a movie, and I've seen this so many times before. The holiday. Good guesses. Good guesses. You guys know me. And I was if you ask. Great movie. The Fault in Our Stars.
SPEAKER_07Oh Brutal.
SPEAKER_06Oh no. Wait. What? Tyree's on the set Tyree's on the right track. I think it's a movie where one of the Levantrus dies.
SPEAKER_01One of the dies?
SPEAKER_06I think we're on the right track. I think it's something where Eleven trust dies.
SPEAKER_09Charlie St. Cloud. Great movie. That one made me sad. Look, literally, it was one night where Aaron was supposed to be. It was like just the two of us at home. I think my parents and Ryan were out doing something. And he says, You want to watch the movie? And I was like, Yeah. And then he put a Charlie St. Cloud. And we both cried. I actually probably should have. Is that the one with a little? We were both sobbing crying. He's like, You can never tell anybody about this.
SPEAKER_07And now the whole podcast knows.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_09Oh, that's a good guess. Good guess. Great guess. Okay, if you want to hit it's animated. When was it? Have you seen it recently?
SPEAKER_04Bro, inside out. Recently. Okay.
SPEAKER_09It's true, but it's not their review. It is up.
SPEAKER_07Hey, I was right though. I was right though.
SPEAKER_06This is fun. I would have never guessed that.
SPEAKER_03These are hard because her reviews are so like niche. No.
SPEAKER_05She's so niche.
SPEAKER_01She's so niche.
SPEAKER_03So niche.
SPEAKER_09No, guys. I'm so niche. Oh no. Gosh.
SPEAKER_05God, I hate it.
SPEAKER_09I just hate being so niche. Um, okay. Brother, why split this into two parts? I will never understand. Wicked. No, I do understand that. Wicked. And you didn't even make the second part and it wasn't even good. This is also all spaced out. Like in a several thoughts. He said, why would you split this into two parts? I will never understand it. And you didn't even make the second part of the movie, and it wasn't good.
SPEAKER_10What do you mean they didn't make the second part if it split into two parts?
SPEAKER_09They sp they split off it should have been one movie. And they split it to the toilet. No, it's not. It's it was one story, they split into two movies, and they never made the second part.
SPEAKER_10So I'm going, it's right now, currently it's just hanging.
SPEAKER_09Yeah.
unknownJust hang in.
SPEAKER_09I don't know. Would you like the year it came out?
SPEAKER_05I am anything.
SPEAKER_092016. Great.
SPEAKER_05Fantastic movie. I'm madly new right now.
SPEAKER_10I have no idea.
SPEAKER_06The last airbend art. The live action air.
SPEAKER_10They should have made the second. Is it animated or no? Live action.
SPEAKER_05What? What genre?
SPEAKER_09Brother, why split this into two parts? I will never understand. And you didn't even make the second part, and it wasn't even good.
SPEAKER_03It's also divergent. Is it? I have no idea what it is. It was Allegiance. Because I felt the same freaking way.
SPEAKER_09I was like, what was the point? Yeah. Just all of it. They stabbed it at the most confusing part of the book. And also the last book like sucked anyway.
SPEAKER_03And I was like, we have to finish this. And I look for the fourth one, and I'm like, what the heck? The reason I didn't say that is because I thought you meant like there were only two. That's what I'm saying. Okay, it's okay. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_09But you meant that that story part. That's what it is. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I understand. Those buns. Buns, buns, buns.
SPEAKER_06If you think about it, there's a lot of movies in like the early 2010s where they were like trying to make the universe or whatever, and they just never took off.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. I sorry, I just saw another one for Four Christmases because I spam that movie every year. And I just said, I just love the kinds of roles Kristen Chenna was chose to do in the 2000s. Like random stuff, bro. Oh gosh. Got to meet her. Yes. Okay, last section.
SNL Auditions And Sketch Ideas
SPEAKER_09Okay, this one, this one's a little bit of a challenge, but it's okay. So I sent the list, right? This is I wanted everybody to come up with for your either your SNL audition, right? Like you had to audition. Usually it's either stand-up or you do characters. So if you had to audition for SNL, like what would you do? Like, what would you talk about? Or if you don't want to do that, you could also be like, if I was on SNL, this is the kind of skit I would want to do. Like this is the kind of character. So we can go either way.
SPEAKER_10That's so hard.
SPEAKER_09Gracie and I have a joint one though. We do. But I I kind of think maybe I should save her for last or should I go first? I don't what do you want to have anything?
SPEAKER_10I think they used you did.
SPEAKER_05I kind of. I don't know what character I'd play in it, but I think it would just be a hilarious guess because I have a photo of this from work today.
SPEAKER_06This is what I thought of. I have a new desk. Like I got a promotion, so I like have a desk now in one of the service areas at my work, and there's a window to like the customer area, a customer lounge. And I look over there and I just see this I see this short, bald old man. He came right over, and when I pointed it out to other people, nobody else saw him. But he was sitting there. So like I thought of that, and then I read the text. Like you sent it like minutes later, and I was like, oh my gosh. I think my sketch would be like the one like if I had to choose actors for it, Ryan Gosling would be the main guy where he sees this old guy just staring at him. I would choose like a restaurant scenario. Old guy peeking over like the like Yeah, like the divider just staring at him, and he's like talks to his date or like whoever's there at dinner, even like the waitress and stuff like that. And like nobody's acknowledging it, but it's just old guy's just staring at me the entire time. He's just getting even more like worried and paranoid and just freaked out.
SPEAKER_07Like, I just think that would be I I think it'd be hilarious.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm really good at it.
SPEAKER_07Like, yeah, you don't yeah, like I couldn't imagine anybody else but Ryan Gosling doing that scalp.
SPEAKER_09Oh my Lanta. I would um I my favorite SNL sketch, and so this is one I would love to be a character in the sketch, is uh Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake camp.
SPEAKER_06Oh yeah, that's a good one.
SPEAKER_09I love just the good night. That is literally you and Mary Grace. We just hear each other singing on the other side of the wall. Isn't it ironic? Don't you think? It's like Ray! Those are my favorite sketches. And then short shorts, yes, the lisp. Yes, those are my favorite SNL sketches, so I love to be in one. I think to so too that like if I were to create like a an original skit, I think I because I wrote this down, like all you guys are in it, and we would do like some kind of bit where basically we just echo each other and everything we say, and it's just like what like everybody repeats it, goes around the room. Yeah. In our skit, we are boobas. No.
SPEAKER_02That would be so good.
SPEAKER_09Came down in a bubble.
SPEAKER_02Came down in a bubble, though. I think it would be really funny if there was a skit. I don't think necessarily me doing it, but if there was a skit based off of the movie Zoolander. Good. I haven't watched it. I haven't seen it yet. But just when we were talking about it, I was like, I know that this will make me laugh so hard just because of the dumb way that they talk, like in the movie. And so if they did a skit around that, I think that that would be so funny. And Jimmy Fallon would need to be one of those people. And um Why male mattos? Why male mattos? See, it would be so funny. They need to do that. This is a house for ants. I feel like I feel like they could literally be talking about anything. It wouldn't have to be like jokes written if they just talked like that the whole time.
SPEAKER_06Like have a normal conversation, but just like so, what do you think about the political and economic state of the world right now?
SPEAKER_02I would laugh so hard at that. I would love if they did a skip. So I was talking to my guy, Agent O'Blanc.
SPEAKER_06And then, would you believe this? They whipped out their chime card.
SPEAKER_09Last time. And I said, 6'7?
SPEAKER_02They need to do that. Okay, and the other idea I have is I would want my dream is for it to be a stand-up, and Tyree and Morgan did stand-up on us. Yes. Yes. That would be my one of my dreams. Penn and teller. Pen and teller and show.
SPEAKER_09I I did I did do stand-up in college.
SPEAKER_06I remember you talking about it, but you said there was no proof.
SPEAKER_09We've never seen it. There's proof.
SPEAKER_06Is this worse or better than the emo photo?
SPEAKER_09Oh no, it's fine. I it was funny. It was just the sound system in the room was so busted that like only the first like two rows of tables can hear me. So I was judging how like well it was going based off of the front tables, and it seemed to go pretty well. But everybody in the back couldn't like hear loud. It was funny.
SPEAKER_06Dude, I'm telling you, these two doing stand-up together would be I didn't tell them.
SPEAKER_02I would love we had the screencast. So, guys, let's make that happen. Let's lock it. Let's fuck it. Anybody else want to go?
SPEAKER_09Okay, somebody has to be a bills. Lawrence? I got I got nothing. Lawrence, you would be in ours. We a customer. I mean we need a couple of things. Alright, can I do you have one either?
SPEAKER_03Uh mine would be just getting a really don't know. I'm minorly I'll be in like a minorly dangerous situation, not really. And other people would be I'm like, what? Where does this get?
SPEAKER_06Tyrannosaurus Rex behind her.
SPEAKER_03And then another one I thought, if it's like personal something that I do, anytime I have something serious to say, I end up talking in a British accent. So be like, there can be something funny to do with a character who's like always just switching up their accent, like, wait a minute, what? It's like this now you're Australian on the show. No way it brings a bit. Yeah. So those are my ideas, but anyway. Go for it, girls.
SPEAKER_09Okay. So this is what inspired this bit. Because first of all, I love SNL. Like, I literally, it's one of my favorite shows that they've ever come up with ever. But Gracie and I had a real life moment this past week of like, this is a like Kirsten Wig Maya Rudolph SNL skit. Or like like an Apollo or Tina Fe. Like this is an iconic, iconic SNL skit. So we are in a Belk. In a Belk? We are at in a set of scene. We're at Belk. Okay. Hey, hey. No, you're you're not in a Belk. You're in a Belk. Belk. And so there is this, like, this whole deal, and we're like, oh, we'll get like a deal in these dresses, whatever. So we're waiting to check out.
SPEAKER_10It was buy one, get two free.
SPEAKER_09Yeah.
SPEAKER_10So we all And there were three of us. So we all split the price of one in that. Like you know what I'm saying? Yeah.
SPEAKER_09For a very good deal. Right. Great, great job, Belk. Shout out, Belk. Sponsored, not really. But we walk up to this kiosk, and there's these two ladies. And on the left is this lady that's like older, and like she has like kind of like she's like a very raspy, like, I'll do the voice in a little bit, but like a southern, just like whatever. She talks, she doesn't move her mouth when she's like it just comes out behind her teeth. Like insane. That other lady, younger tattoos, like very like southern though. Southern, yeah.
SPEAKER_10Like trying to be not southern, but is very southern.
SPEAKER_09Yes, kind of like the accent that we fall into when we talk about that one old co-worker that she had, yeah. Um, and so this is like the vibe. We walk up, and so they're like talking to the other ladies, we're waiting in line, and all of a sudden the younger one's like, Oh my gosh, I just need to oh cry and Ivy, I just need to get a good deal on these jeans, I need to get these jeans. And then the other lady next to her is like, she goes, No, no. No, this is real life. This is my Vouch for me. That is exactly what she sounds like. And I'm checking out. She's scanning my items, and I'm like, and so I'm literally like looking at everywhere else. She's like, no, no, you gotta get one of that Manhattan brand jeans. They feel so good. And then she's like, I'll tell you what, I eat and I eat and I eat and they give and they give and they give.
SPEAKER_11And we're like, I didn't trust for those. I'm about to I turn together. I didn't trust for those.
SPEAKER_09And she's like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Literally, she's saying it. This is her not moving. She's like, and then you and then you're like, that's it.
SPEAKER_10Craig's turned over the person turned back, yeah. And I was up to the side metal back. Then all of a sudden, the like speaker, yeah, yeah. Speaker system, and they're like, we just want to say thank you to our greatest um worker today, Sheila. And how she's just been a star black and then immediately how they go, oh my god.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_10So she plays like the person and I'm the other person. She was like, I'm gonna call Sheila. I'm gonna call Sheila right now. She's like, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_11I said, Sheila, they thank you when they're gone. They thank you when you're gone.
SPEAKER_09No, no, don't call Sheila. She lives here hot.
SPEAKER_11I don't care if she lives here hot. She needs to know.
SPEAKER_09No, no, you can't call her. Like, we'll just see what she's up to. I never thank you when you're here, only when you're gone. I knew I should have known they're gonna do it where after she lived. She lived here hot. You can't call her. Anyway, and mind you, word for word, this is not like this is not a script.
SPEAKER_06None of this is like improv.
SPEAKER_09This is actually what happened, and I will never forget it.
SPEAKER_10I think they sent my mom to that same belt the next day to see if she could find them, but she couldn't. She could not.
SPEAKER_07They quit.
SPEAKER_09Literally for Sheila. The whole skit would just be like the belt ladies, and it's just like everyone comes at like normal customers checking out, and then they have like an insane conversation. Just like, is this all for you today? And be like, yes, this is it. Oh, I lost another thousand on the game one and all.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Yes.
SPEAKER_06That might legitimately be like the best skit that's not a skit I've ever heard.
unknownThat was real.
SPEAKER_09And that was real. And that was real life. Literally, so that's what inspired the prod was like, oh my gosh, we have to do this on the podcast to like talk about stuff that we like would audition like characters or like a skit that we would have on our side.
SPEAKER_02It has to be Kristen Wake. Because she kind of already does that Target Lady character. So she would be perfect. So good.
SPEAKER_09Or like you could pull like a Kate McKinnon doing the old lady. Oh my gosh. And then like stop it right now.
SPEAKER_11I just gone black.
SPEAKER_09Like Cecily Strong doing the other lady. So good.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that would be perfect. Stop, you guys. Let's make money off of this idea. Let's do this.
SPEAKER_09We're doing sketch comedy now on Instagram. I was gonna say, I roll Ryan out of retirement, and y'all need to film those videos that you used to. Yeah, the old family videos.
SPEAKER_11I don't know this is not her roommate.
SPEAKER_09Look. And we've we've changed. We've changed. No, it's funny though. No. Now that you know me, it's funny. If you didn't feel like brothers. I was like, who? No, but that was it. Any other thoughts? Any other things? It was all like topics that I'm like, I just want to talk about it.
SPEAKER_11Wasn't that all? Preachies. Sorry. Anyway.
SPEAKER_09This is just we don't do this.
SPEAKER_00No, no, we don't do it at the end!
SPEAKER_01Only at the beginning.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's good, it's good, it's good. Don't look at me though. No.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_03I don't know how to make it funny. Okay.
